Somehow, the library had ended up being your place of choice on the one day off you and Spencer had. You hadn't meant to spend all day there, but of course between the two of you being bookworms, it was no surprise at all when the hour merged into minutes and the day passed as quickly as it began, all while you sought comfort between the library shelves. You laid against Spencer as you read, smelled his cologne, the pages beneath your fingers, you heard the soft mutters beneath his breath as he read through the book in his hands and you felt a deep sense of peace wash through you.

Neverland

Once upon a time, I visited Neverland I ran with Peter Pan, was young and carefree Never had a worry in the world.  but then he left, like a father running, like the leaves fall from the tree.  I was forced to leave Neverland, grow up take these memories with me I had to face the world alone, "you're on your own kid" becoming mantra.  anxiety and fear hiding in the shadows, like monsters following around a little girl that grew up too soon I wished I could go back in time To the days when I could fly and laugh and play and never having to worry but was no longer an option. So I took a breath, and I faced the world, I kept on going Epiphanies of who I can be plague my mind, ghosts of who I used to be plague my nights  wishing I could escape to Neverland once again

In quel tempo, tra quelli che erano saliti per il culto durante la festa, c’erano anche alcuni Greci. Questi si avvicinarono a Filippo, che era di Betsaida di Galilea, e gli domandarono: “Signore, vogliamo vedere Gesù”. Filippo andò a dirlo ad Andrea, e poi Andrea e Filippo andarono a dirlo a Gesù. Gesù rispose loro: “È venuta l’ora che il Figlio dell’uomo sia glorificato. In verità, in verità io vi dico: se il chicco di grano caduto in terra non muore, rimane solo; se invece muore, produce molto frutto. Chi ama la propria vita la perde e chi odia la propria vita in questo mondo, la conserverà per la vita eterna. Se uno mi vuole servire, mi segua, e dove sono io, là sarà anche il mio servitore. Se uno serve me, il Padre lo onorerà. Adesso l’anima mia è turbata; che cosa dirò? Padre, salvami da quest’ora? Ma proprio per questo sono giunto a quest’ora! Padre, glorifica il tuo nome”. Venne allora una voce dal cielo: “L’ho glorificato e lo glorificherò ancora!”. La folla che era presente e aveva udito, diceva che era stato un tuono. Altri dicevano: “Un angelo gli ha parlato”. Disse Gesù: “Questa voce non è venuta per me, ma per voi. Ora è il giudizio di questo mondo; ora il principe di questo mondo sarà gettato fuori. E io, quando sarò innalzato da terra, attirerò tutti a me”. Diceva questo per indicare di quale morte doveva morire.

Quante ne sapete sul #nerodavola ? 🍇 Si tratta dell’uva autoctona siciliana a bacca nera più coltivata della regione e celebre per aver contribuito insieme ad altre, al successo dei vini siciliani in tutto il mondo.  📖 Questo vitigno dalla maturazione tardiva e di grande vigoria, fu importato dai greci durante la loro presenza nell'isola fra il VIII e il VII secolo a.C. e da loro deriva anche il tradizionale sistema di allevamento “ad alberello”. 📍 Il suo territorio d'elezione è quello di Noto, un territorio affacciato sul mare, coperto di vigneti, mandorli e agrumeti che gode di un clima mite d’inverno e di estati calde coccolate dalla brezza marina.  🔍 Dal sud-est della Sicilia, questo vitigno si è diffuso successivamente in tutte e 9 le province dell’isola, dove i diversi terroir, le condizioni climatiche e gli stili di produzione influiscono notevolmente sul prodotto finale. Honestly the writing isn’t terrible. On my scale they have been a solid 3.5-4 stars on the ones I’ve read so far. Couple of plot twists that you can kind of see coming and some things that have you screaming but like if you’re looking for a fast-mid pace reading of a book series this is definitely the one you should be reading.

Do you have any book recs to start off the new year with?? (Asking as if my tbr isn’t already super high 🤣)

Maybe I'll put it on my list for a quick read! It sounds pretty good, considering some books of that genre are um... Interesting? But we love them all the same lmao (I jest, I enjoy these as much as you).

Thank you!! I hope you have too! How was your weekend? I hope the start of your week has been going well! I've been really busy doing some reno on my house, our living room is almost ready to decorate and I'm so excited! No new stuffies (yet), and no new books (also yet lmao). I was reading Six Of Crows, I like it but I had a thing in the back of my head that was screaming at me to finish The Secret History so that's what I'm on at the moment! I started it back in the summer but it just didn't feel right to read it in the summer when so many of the scenes are so wintery feeling.

Top 5 books you always recommend (any genre) 1. Vita Nostra - for those cold days when you want something magical, dark and a complex story 2. Before The Coffee Gets Cold (and the other books in the series) - for those days when you want something wholesome and that gives you the endings that make you cry but make you feel good 3. Ninth House - for a rainy day, same vibes as Vita Nostra 4. The Flat Share - for when you just *need* a proper warm, GOOD romance with all the trimmings (this one is new to my rec list but omg, I will be reccing this book for years to come lmao) 5. The Hobbit - for the days that you need an armchair adventure
