Getting lost with derek... (and it was defenetly not his fault nor was it on purpose🤨)

Ahem yes definitely not his fault

You had asked Derek to go out for a picnic and his famous last words before getting you both lost were "I know a great spot"

Yes, well that 'great spot' seemed to be as lost as you and Derek were when he parked the car and walked you out into the woods all while saying "it's just up ahead" for about 10 minutes

You were still deep in the forest and that spot was no where to be found and neither of you could remember which way the car was...

But he maintained it was not his fault

You still had the picnic in the forest, it was beautiful and the sun filtered in through the tree canopy above you in pretty golden streams

You spent the better part of an hour enjoying your picnic despite being very lost

You even found a little swing tied to a tree and you stayed for a while, Derek gently pushing you on the swing while you chatted about anything and everything on your minds

There was something kind of nice about being in the middle of no where and in no big rush to do anything

But eventually, you decided, as clouds drew in and it looked as if it might rain soon that it was time to try and find your way back to the car

Oh how both of you wished you'd just gone to the place you had asked for

"What was that great spot anyway?" You asked as you tried to navigate your way back, Derek swearing he'd seen that tree before

"It's by a creek, it's real pretty." He told you

Thankfully, Derek had been right about the tree he recognised (much to his own surprise, not that he would tell you that)

You weren't sure who was more relieved when you finally caught sight of the car through the trees

Before either of you could make it back to the car though, the rain came down in a sudden downpour and you both ran to the car to take shelter

Climbing in, you were both wet, but thankfully not completely soaked

Derek turned the heat on so you wouldn't catch a cold and leaned over to kiss you

There was something kind of romantic about being out on the side of the forest in the pouring rain under the shelter of the car

"Maybe we should get lost more often baby girl."

"Then you can navigate more often." You quipped back

You knew that as soon as you got home, you were both going to have a hot shower and Derek was going to tease the hell out of you for that little quip

But you loved it

Is MC feeling undesirable due to their own insecurities or their fathers words going to come up?

Edith and Edward would be murderous. Actually, I really should add the option to bring this up in their first conversation. For now I think any insecurities about their father's words are up to headcanon? I specifically kept it vague in that scene, but considering the MC's upbringing and the loss of their only friend it wouldn't be surprising for them to have a warped perspective of themself. It's not a bad idea to explore the possibilities!

Simon stepped closer, his body pressing against hers, heat raid intimidating off of him. His gaze locked on her smaller figure. Reaching a hand out to grasp her wrist, appearing intimidating. "Do you really believe that? Do you honestly think I would care if you decide to throw away another meaningless fling?"

His breath brushed against her ear as he spoke, sending shivers down her spine. "I'm not some fucking househusband."

"Never said you were, sir. No strings were suppose to be attached. It's best I tie them with someone else and leave wherever this is..." She says softly, she had thought long and hard about this. Decided she wanted a man that loves her. A life Simon could and would never give. "I can't keep these hookups going.."

"Strings and hooks." He spat out the words like poison. "They're all the same to me."

His grip on her wrist tightened slightly before releasing it suddenly. He stepped back, leaving her alone against the wall. There was a cold distance in his eyes now, one she hadn't seen before.

"Just...go," he said gruffly.

"so, we're over?.." she asked.

"We never started," he replied curtly.

Without waiting for a response, he turned around and walked out of the room, leaving her alone with her thoughts.

I know you made us pick the Doctor's supposed Christmas gift for Hoseok. But you personally, what do you think she would give him?

Doesn't have to be part of the story^^ Just curious what you think she'll give him and how you think he'll receive thebkind gesture

I was actually banking in the letter wining tbh. I guess the ring draws a bit more attention though heh. It’s a very deeply emotional idea, and yeah, they would have all had different outcomes.

The letter would have been the safest in reality as long as no one else found it, so I think it would have been the thing for her to choose (although she would have chose any of these tbh). Hoseok could easily read it and then get rid of it. The other two presents are much more obvious and could draw the wrong eye. I’m not sure if people really thought about that though heh.

I’ll explain how he’d receive both the letter and the flowers as that don’t be written out.

The letter would draw out many emotions. I imagine it would have been at least 5 pages and just full of everything she’s thought both about him and their situation. She would explain how she feels wholeheartedly, lots of scribbled out and added in words because she doesn’t want to delete any of her thoughts. Overall very sentimental and something that could possibly make Hoseok tear up. Maybe. We’ll never know teehee.

The flowers would have been more of a secretive way express how she feels. It’s both an item she made to an extent with the painted vase, and an item with a deep meaning. Sunflowers express deem admiration and love, something that not everyone might know. Hoseok knows though, and he’d be so sly and sweet about reviving them.

This is definitely something we should do, challenge accepted 😼

I can absolutely see this being a thing between you and Derek

Pretty much everything between you has some kind of bet, competition or petty teasing (which all totally end with a make out session regardless lets be honest)

But this one

Ooooohhhh Derek thinks he's got this in the bag as soon as you suggest it

But he underestimates your skills to read between the lines

He maintains that you've spent too much time talking to Reid about books

But he surprises you still, while he has moments where he doesn't catch onto the things that you do, he finds clues that upon first glance you just didn't see them

It's neck and neck at one point

He is SO SURE he's going to win

But Derek Morgan is not the only competitive person in this relationship, nor does he read Agatha Christie and mystery novels as much as you do

Spencer is for sure the judge on this one but he has too much fun using his petty side and just pitting you against each other, knowing that the more riled up you both are, the more dramatic and hilarious the whole thing is going to be

But in the end, you both finish within minutes of each other, handing Spencer (and by this point, Emily has joined as a half judge half spectator) your deductions

The worst part about both being very good agents is the fact that you both solved the case correctly, but it's the way you did it that was different

Perhaps that was the most interesting part to Spencer at the very least

But Derek maintains that since you handed in your answers first, you're the winner

Which means losers treat, i.e. he has to spoil you (not that he doesn't already, that man spoils you like no tomorrow)

Cue a movie and food of your choice and a heated evening on the couch 😌

Being competitive with you is the only time that Derek doesn't mind losing because he still gets to spoil you senseless
