Prompts (MGGx Fem!reader blurb) 

Requested: Nope

Warnings: zero, nothing, maybe a curse, but that's it.

Summary: (Y/N) Gubler needs her husband's help to pick a prompt to write a Halloween story. Luckily, Matthew is a Halloween expert.

A/N: Honestly, I wrote this 'cos I asked one of my best friends for Halloween prompts ideas, and she said "Wouldn't it be great to ask Matthew?"... so I did. And this happened.

Masterlist

(Y/N) lit a candle and held a few crystals close to her chest for a few seconds, as she mumbled something. After a moment, she sighed, looked before her, and left the stones beside the candle. 

- “Come to me, come to me.”- she whispered as she stared at a blank page in her computer.- “Inspiration, please come to me.”

- “Hey Bunny, how’s the writing doing?”- Matthew’s voice nearly made her jump as he walked into the room holding two fresh cups of coffee. 

- “It’s not going anywhere.”- the writer sighed as she accepted with a smile the hot beverage her husband brought her. 

- “What’s wrong? Can’t focus?”

- “I have zero idea what to write.”- she pouted as Gubler sipped his coffee. - “Not true, I know I wanna write short Halloween stories. I just need some prompts to inspire me.” 

- “Maybe I can help. I don’t know if you’ve heard but… I’m kind of a Halloween expert.”

- “It’s September 18th, still hot as balls out there, and our house is fully decorated for Gublerween, sir. I know Halloween is your life.” 

- “And yet, you force me to celebrate HalloReid every single freaking year. That guy is stealing my thunder.”

Gubler pretended to be upset, the same he did every time his famous character “Spencer Reid” was mentioned around the house. His wife chuckled and shook her head as she stared at him, sitting on her desk, looking as dreamy as always. 

- “You shouldn’t be jealous of Spence. I told you I just like him as a friend. It’s you the one I married.”- Guber chuckled at those words and moved a chair closer to him to sit next to his wife. 

- “Ok, then let me help you with your writing problem.” 

- “Fine… so, I need prompt ideas for short stories.”

- “What about a vampire story? You haven’t written anything like that as far as I remember.” 

- “One, a million years ago, about a vampire who wanted to be human. He was fun, he actually went to therapy.”- (Y/N) commented, feeling excited about that particular story. No one had read it, but she was proud of it. 

- “Doesn’t sound creepy enough for Halloween.”- Gub argued right away- “How about vampires getting ready to throw a party at their castle?” 

- “Doesn’t sound creepy either.”- (Y/N) complained and stuck her tongue out to her husband. 

- “Very mature, but I wasn’t finished yet. They are throwing a party to suck all the blood from their guesses.” 

- “No one will ever leave the ball alive.”- Mrs. Gubler added with a creepy voice and her husband nodded, excited. 

- “Exactly!”

- “It has potential, give me more.”- Matthew left his coffee on the desk and wrapped his arms around her waist.- “Give me more ideas!!”

- “Sorry! You have to be more specific!”- he chuckled and kissed her neck before letting her go. - “Okay, more Halloween ideas… how about a story about a woman who hates clowns and her husband secretly decides to hire a clown for their son's birthday party, which just happens to be on Halloween?”

(Y/N) stared at Matthew, who smiled at her, trying to hold back the chuckles. 

- “That’s not a story prompt, that’s what you did last year! And you nearly killed me!”

- “You have to get over your clown fear!” 

- “I will not have this argument with you again.”- she crossed her arms on her chest and shook her head. Matthew just smiled and kissed the tip of her nose with a sweet smile. 

- “Fine… how about dating someone and discovering they are not human?”

- “I told you I’m not writing about us!”- she joked and Gubler laughed. 

- “Fair enough, Bunny! I have one last idea and then I’ll leave you to write in peace.”  

- “Give me your best prompt”- she replied with a playful smile.

- “Why don’t you write about a costume competition at a Halloween party?”

- “It’s not creepy”- the writer whined immediately, but Matthew smiled and stood up. 

- “Not a creepy prompt, but you can add a lot to that idea. Think about it. It could have it all: fun, weird costumes, the surprise creepy element.”- (Y/N) thought about it and nodded. 

- “Sold! I’m writing that.”

- “Great! I can’t wait to read it!”- Matthew leaned over and kissed his wife’s lips softly.- “And meanwhile, I’m gonna pick up the kids from school.” 

- “I’ll make good use of the quiet of the house in the meantime then.”

- “If you want, I could keep them out of the house for a little longer.”- Gubler smiled innocently, but his wife saw through him. 

- “You are not taking them to get more Halloween decorations!”

- “Oh come on!! I think there’s an empty spot under the stairs! We can’t have that!”

- “No Gub. Oh! And don’t forget this Thursday it’s the evening parent-teacher conference. You go to Vinnie’s and I go to Tilly’s.”

- “Can we swap? I always get Vinnie.”

- “Because Tilly’s teacher keeps flirting with you.”- Mrs. Gubler replied immediately, making her husband laugh.

- “As she could ever stand a chance next to you.”- Matthew winked at (Y/N) and walked out of the room shouting “Love you”. She smiled and grabbed the cup of coffee one more time. 

- “Now, a costume contest at a Halloween party… costume party… let’s do this.”

Smut free zone

Hello everyone,

So after the extreme religious guilt I have been feeling re: me posting sexually explicit writing for others to consume, I have decided my blog with henceforth be smut free. I have gone ahead and made all the smut posts I could find private, and I have hidden my likes as well, because ik y'all get recs from there.

I know this is not going to be a decision everyone understands or agrees with, and that's okay. My top post on tumblr was a smut post. But I just don't want to continue putting out that content. When I am free from the clutches of grad school, I will be editing the smut scenes out of JP, so if you're attached to my clumsy smut, then you have until May to either part with it or save it to a google doc lol.

Once again, I am not writing until there is a permanent ceasefire in Gaza so that I can use my platform to boost the Palestinian cause. Please check my pinned post to see how you can help as well. But when I hopefully return, it will be smut-free. Thank you all for understanding.

Speaking of Martin (ew), I can’t help but wonder if he ever tried to contact doctora again after everything went down. He seems like the kinda guy (crazy) who can’t take no for an answer and would keep trying to get another chance with our baddie

Yo I have never thought about this before but now that you mention it...

Here are my head cannons about Martin trying to reach back out to her after she gets together with Gavi:

i think he would see pictures of her at the ballon d'or online (while at his mom's house) and someone looks over and is like "woah Martin! Isn't that your ex?"

and then it would turn into his mom being like "so unfortunate that she turned out to be a lesbian" (bcs that's i think the only reason he could give as to why she left him that wouldn't ruin his image)

and then one of his cousins (who maybe doesn't like him) is like "uh...she's def not a lesbian. Bisexual maybe, but isn't this her kissing that Barca player?"

And then suddenly his mother is lamenting being like "my failure of a son got left by a doctor! a disgrace! a plague upon our house!"

And Martin is pissed because how can he be replaced by Gavi of all people???

So he goes to text her, but none of his messages are delivering (bcs ofc he's blocked)

so he decides to call her from his cousin's phone

And doctora picks up because she doesn't have every single number from work saved

and then Martin turns on his best angel persona

"Hey baby... I know we didn't end things in the best way, but I can't help but think that we had something really special."

"Martin???"

There's a gasp and some mutters on the other side of the line, and suddenly it's a male voice coming through

"There is no way you're calling my girlfriend through a burner after I beat your ass once already."

"I just wanted to talk to her because-"

"Did you test positive for an STD?"

"I don't think so?"

"Then leave my girlfriend alone."

And then the call dropped

So Martin resorted to what he does best - leaving thirsty comments on her instagram

and he only relented after his instagram was suspended for a week because someone reported him for harassment and stalking

As far as I know in Spanish you refer to a female doctor as Doctora, but yes it’s the same in Arabic. So a little bit of myself inserted in there as an Arab girlie tryna be a doctora 🥰

is doctora a bookstan? 🤧 i can imagine she bringing gavi to buy books with her and him saying "no amor, let me pay this for you! i want recomendations too" and after they could read a book together idk? 😫

Going through my asks as I avoid studying, and I realized I never answered this one:

Doctora is absolutely a book stan (esp because she is heavily based on myself and I've spent $200 on books since the year began).

I think she is also a sucker for like really pretty special editions, and Gavi has to practically drag her away because "no amor you do not need a 4th copy of Pride and Prejudice just because this one is bound in purple leather instead of blue."

The being said he would def spoil her with books whenever she wants because what else is all this money for? A man can only own so may $400 hoodies.

Don't yell at me but... my man doesn't particularly look like a reader. I think he would try very hard but he just can't get into a lot of the books that doctora reads (like come on now try and picture Gavi reading an R.F. Kuang book you simply can't). So they would compromise and pick shorter books that they could read together. Or they would read the Game of Thrones books because he's already familiar with what's going on, and doctora can comfort him when he get scared of the dragons <3

Was daydreaming today and I have a question, just for fun, (please don’t feel pressured to respond if you don’t want to) but how do you think Gavi and doctora would respond to his injury in the JP universe? Do you think it would have an effect on their relationship?

Hot take: I actually think that his injury would put a huge stress on their relationship and may cause their first major fight. Initially, she would probably baby him a lot, and while it’s nice at first, it can be frustrating to have someone have to do everything for you (couple w the fact that’s she’s older it’s gonna damage the ego). It would be a lot of “let me do that for you” vs “I can take care of myself”.

There’s also a difference in priorities that would be a hill to climb initially. When Gavi got his injury, his initial reaction was “I have to play”. To a medical professional, this is a completely asinine mindset. You just ripped your leg muscle in half and all you’re thinking about is getting back to playing? Yeah I think it would cause a couple fights.

But I think all of that would start to resolve after his surgery and as they start to calm down. After there’s a confirmation that Gavi is fine and he’s getting better, doctora would def start to relax more, esp when he’s out of the brace. I think it would also improve his confidence, which would make him gentler.

Eventually, it comes down to the fact that they both care deeply about each other and their careers, and this can manifest as hot and loud language. But then Pablo’s brace comes off, Doctora comes home from work, and he lets her elevate his leg for him before she just sits on the couch and leans into him. He won’t ask about team progress or training, just about her day. And it will just become an understanding between them that while their priorities are different, their end goal is the same.

Or something along those lines

Yes it is!

I am currently prepping for a medical school admissions exam, so that’s taking all my time. But hopefully in the summer I will have more time to work on it as a proper book.

Sorry I've been gone for so long. It's been really hard to stay afloat lately. Gaza is still being bombed and so I haven't been writing anything football related. I still try and educate on this platform, but then I get random asks being like "can you write gavi smut" or "are you a virgin" and it makes me want to delete my blog all over again.

Anyways, Palestine updates for everyone:

Gaza is still under bombardment and siege. Innocent people are being bombed, starved, denied access to humanitarian aid and life-saving medical treatment. All of this is the result of Israel's oppression. Please continue to speak about Gaza, to boycott brands like Starbucks, McDonalds, and Disney, as well as the others on the boycott list.

Personal updates:

I've been quite dissociated from football because of everything happening in Palestine. Currently prepping for my MCAT, so that's what occupies most of my time. Been doing some personal writing about Palestinian losers in love. Maybe will share one day. Also working on adapting "Just Pretend" into a real book - if Lauren Asher can publish "Throttled", then JP can be a real book.

So I’ve been gone for a minute, neglecting this blog and my asks and everything because I just can’t bring myself to really interact with internet content centered around stuff other than Palestine.

I was thinking about deleting my blog just because I feel like I’m cluttering up the internet with nonsense. I’ll be on my phone seeing all the notifications of people liking my football writing and smut and I just feel like garbage because why is this what people are seeing? I have a following of almost 2k and all I contribute is filth.

I’ve also been prepping for the MCAT and just feeling rather depressed in general. A lot of my moots on here are gone and there’s not really a community like there was when I first started after the World Cup.

I am thinking of developing my series into a proper book (same general story, not real players, much better structure and grammar). If I did that and posted on AO3, would that be of interest?

(Also for all the people hooked on that series who reread it religiously - I have cross-posted it on Wattpad. So if I ever do delete this blog, JP will be alive and well on the internet. DW).

Just finished reading all of just pretend from start to finish…for the 5th time…safe to say I have a small obsession. Can’t wait for the next part girlie ❤️ hope you’ve been doing well!

Y'all I don't think you understand: I, the author, have only read the story all the way through (part 1 - 8) once. One time. I did it because I wanted to make sure I didn't have any continuity errors (esp when it comes to Pedri because he's featuring more this chapter and to set up his spin off). It literally took me D A Y S. Also I did have many many baby continuity errors so thanks y'all for not being dicks about it <3

No but seriously, from the bottom of my heart, thank you so much to everyone who has taken the story and held it close to them, cherished it, poured love into it and nurtured my favorite project ever. You are all the reason that part 8 wasn't the last (imma be honest I was thinking about it). So if you ever doubt that you made an impact in the world, know there is a 22 yr old loser sitting in her brother's bedroom that you have made so immensely happy.

I am currently working on the next part, but am being slowed down by numerous life factors, including but not limited to the fact that I have fake nails on and it's slowing down my typing :')

Hey beautiful! So I’ve gone back and forth with the idea of making the story longer, because I’m not really ready to let go of them either, but I think 10 is the perfect number of chapters, + a bonus epilogue about their relationship status like a year after the events of JP. This is also because I have other ideas for other series with other people that I want to write and put out for yall.

That being said, I’ve decided that what I’ll do is allow for requests that are set in the JP Universe. Like I’ll allow people to request gavi x doctora oneshots in different scenarios. I think that’s a great compromise instead of beating the main story to death lol
