@misterdadguy thank you for these!! I’m gonna go down the list hehe
How old are Nick and Lark (and the others) when this happens?
So when Lark sits on the throne, he and Sparrow are 18, the others are a year older.
The betrayal happens when the twins are 26 and the others are 27.
Current time with the teens, the twins are 38 and the other kiddads are 39. Hermie and Taylor are 15, Normal is almost 15, Linc and Scary are 16. Hero is 17.
Besides the effect on Nick, how do the other guys handle this?
I’m gonna list them for convenience.
Sparrow: This boy is devastated. Lark was his twin and the two are now on opposite sides. He feels like he doesn’t know his twin anymore. He shuts the other kiddads out more. Normal and Hero aren’t allowed to see Linc and Taylor anymore. He refuses to talk about Lark. He isn't the same after this.
Grant: Grant does what Wilson boys do best: ignores his emotions. In his mind, he did what he had to go keep his family safe. It doesn’t matter how much it hurts to betray his friend, it was the best choice. At least, that's what he repeats to himself.
Terry Jr: Terry is the only kiddad at this point who wasn’t a dad. But he is the most logical. He knows that sealing Lark and the Doodler away was the safest option. That doesn’t mean it doesn’t hurt to lock away one of his oldest friends. It doesn’t mean it doesn’t hurt to watch his best friend leave the father of his child locked away, alone. But it was the most logical course of action.
How does Lark deal with the loneliness and his feelings/mixed-feelings of the Doodler inside him? (Does he have any little hobbies he can do to pass the time, etc.)
A lot of Lark's time is spent trying to leave. He found The Library's old castle and spends time trying to research escape. Other time is spent watching over/creating doodlerized beings. But when he has time, Lark reads for fun and paints. (He's painted a couple pictures of Nick...)
If Nick were to become "Evil" in this au, what would it look like?
You'll find out soon ;)
