honestly if you were to ask fuyuhiko what he thought of occasions like this he’d of said it was a load of bullshit.    it wasn’t like he’d really celebrated new years and all that other crap,    hell,    trying to get his family anywhere was a nightmare itself;    someone would be having something thrown at them by the end of the evening.    it was a stupid tradition & it didn’t matter much to him,    but he’d still been dragged along with the others,    and he hadn’t put up much resistance either.    it was kind of hard to do that when the ultimate princess had decided to escort him,    determined to celebrate & appreciate the difference in their traditions.    seriously,    it wasn’t like it was all that important ━━━ but that stubborn demeanour begins to fall with every passing hour,    as the evening turns dark & the rest of their classmates begin setting up the firework display.    if he ever decided to do anything to celebrate the new year it was with peko …    they’d end up visiting a shrine the day after so he could get away from his family for a little while.    well,    he supposed this wasn’t so bad either.

sonia had a weird habit of making that smile of hers contagious,    and even he has to repress a snort at her enthusiasm.    it was like watching a damn child.    she really got excited about this stuff didn’t she?    the countdown had started too,    but fuyuhiko sound himself more occupied with watching sonia.    like experiencing this for the first,    studying the changes in her expression,    seeing the joy grow with every second...    what the hell...    it weren’t like it was a big deal or anything...

he stands up to join her just as the final countdown ticks by,    kazuichi & ibuki has probably set off the fireworks,    but it’s distance noise to him,    lips quick to press against hers.    thank fuck for her not wearing heels or nothing,    because it had been a strain.    a hand remains safety within his pocket,    providing some comfort as his face beings to heat up significantly.    he’d be getting an earful for this no fucking doubt,    but...

Flowers, to the common individual, were pretty...relaxing....a welcome sight in any meadow or household. For Toko? Well, suffice to say she was quite sick of the weeds in fancy petals. Understandably so, when she’d been threatened with abandonment of all things if she didn’t get a job to bring some money in. Earn her worth, like she wasn’t still a highschooler who had no idea what her life valued the first place. 

Still. This was the only place within walking distance that’d been hiring and it was too bright...too colorful for her taste but she kept shoving the dirt into the pot despite her growing frustration.

Your little stories won’t help you if no one worth a shit is gonna read ‘em! Toko winced at the memory and was too focused on pummeling the seeds into the dirt that she nearly didn’t hear the front door open, the bell ringing a customer’s arrival. Hands stilled, eyes staring holes into the floor before, with a disgruntled sigh, forced herself to stand up. Knees a little wobbly, she dragged them forward to the front room, stopping once she saw the blonde approaching the counter and looking more at place in this dumb shack than Toko did. 

Then again, the pretty ones always did mesh well with flowers. Toko always felt like she belonged with the weeds.

Blowing a strand of hair out of her face, feet meekly made their way over so she was in the customer’s line of sight. “Y-Yes? .....D-Did you need s-s-someth--ing?”

       ok so i literally never talk about james because i think for a time i was worried about him getting boxed in to a “snarky sad boy anti hero” archetype but now that i’ve had time to think about him his story is very tragic because he discovered these incredible powers of traveling time and space that could take him away from his fruitless career in the past and a troubled relationship with his ex and his cousin and his other ex, but over time, he’s hopped so many times trying to find a time and place that suits him and still hasn’t found it. and the longer he jumps from dimension to dimension, the more he loses his identity to the point where he knows nothing other than wandering forward, never back.
