One of my favorite things about fanfics is how different ship names are done.

Like, I go to read a YuGiOh (any series) fanfic, and I'm like, ah yes, Puppyshippig (Kaiba x Joey). Heroshipping (Jaden x Aster). Kingcrabshipping (Jack x Yusei).

And then I go to read an Avatar fanfic, and I'm like, ah yes, Zukka. Kataang. Mailee.

#fanfic things #like i legit would like to see people come up with ship names akin to the ones i see for yugioh #and apply them to ship names that are just a mashup of two names #like in some cases it has to do with something they have in common or share #spiritshipping or jaden x jesse; both see duel spirits #heroshipping; both Jaden and Aster have hero decks #and for a while the same deck just played differently #some; like kingcrabshipping; are more for appearance i think #yusei's hair looks like a crab and jack was called the king of turbo duels #hence kingcrab #i want that but with mashed up name ships #for example #lunarshipping #i think that could apply to either yuekka or yueki
