well The Blackscale tavern au is based around High fantasy. set around a sort of medieval era but of course lots and lots of magic so Dust would probably be quite bamboozled by any sort of more modern technology. really good at potion making tho. and knowing how curses work. he's rather quiet. like reaallly quiet. (doesn't even talk very loud) He collects bells yet none of them make a sound when he walks around. he enjoys making people uncomfortable by simply existing in their vicinity. such as simply staring at them for an uncomfortable amount of time. Like all goblins he has a love of shiny things but even more so if it is a bell. mostly just talks to Bartholomew (the rat) the rat knows many secrets. Bartholomew tells the secrets too dust so needless to say he ends up knowing a lot about the people around him. He also scams people with fake fortune telling. pretends too listen to the bells and just uses the info Bartholomew has told him. he's a little stinker. naps wherever and whenever he wants. says ominous things randomly good climber

I know that your Blackscale tavern AU is pretty new, but I was wondering how comfortable you would be if someone made fanart of it? (this includes OC x canon), I just wanted to be 100% sure you would be okay with it :)

if you want too make some silly Oc x cannon art you are welcome too. Just keep it non suggestive (just in case) just keep in mind there won't be any ships in the cannon of the au nor am i really interested in them.

How does Ink deal with the cube and his lack of soul?

Did he gain one or is he emotionless?

Souls are a strange thing as in they don't seem to exist in the Cube... No one can summon them (wouldn't be able to anyways because lack of magic even if they where there) nothing physical is in it's place either in most cases. though sometimes a pattern in the shape of the soul will appear like with killer because they soul was exceptionally abnormal.

Monsters and humans still seem to function like they would if they had souls though. minus a few things. for Ink this is somewhat a blessing as he no longer needs to drink his vials too feel emotions technically. a good thing because he has no access to the vials nor would they probably work even if he had them. Ink does have a hard time understanding and processing emotions though. Just because he has them doesn't mean he knows how too emotion. if he gets too overwhelmed he can go blank for a few hours. something Ink certainly hates.
