he was born in America, where his father met his mum during a business trip. he is an architect while she is an interior designer. they eventually got married in England where his got mum relocated to. which means he grew up in England for the most part (simply bc i couldn’t... give up... gregg’s accent ljkljkl)

named after his grandfather, Sir Norman Robert Foster, it is needless to say that there are a lot of expectations for James. Norman Foster is a big name in the architecture industry, for founding the current leading firm in the UK, Foster + Partners.

James has known constant pressure all his life, and has learned to live and thrive under it. as a young lad, he was expected to be sporty, leader material, and excel academically. James isn’t the type to be disobedient, and will do whatever it takes to make his family happy. so while other kids are out enjoying their summers and going on imaginative adventures, james was stuck in his home being tutored advanced lessons and learning how to properly kick a ball. since the popular sport in England was football (soccer), that’s what he was taught to play, but also eventually grew to love.

his parents got divorced just before his senior year in high school. he was given the decision to either stay with his mum or dad. he chose to stay with his mum, despite having to uproot his life in England and move all the way to America just before graduating high school. he was the only close living family his mum had left, and he wasn’t about to leave her all alone across the world. he still stays in contact with his family in England though, and goes back during breaks or summers. 

it was probably his first act of rebellion ever, to choose to study at a university in the States, and not even one his family would’ve chosen for him. but it didn’t matter to him as much as he thought it would have. it felt pretty damned good to be making his own decisions.

though his family is a large factor in him taking architecture, he genuinely loves the discipline. he loves how it requires one to be both creative and logical, whereas most people are used to being one or the other. 

old habits die hard, and overachieving is in his blood. he is just about involved in everything. student politics, sports, frat, academics, and outreach programs ??? plus he’s smart, kind, good-looking, and rich ??? (goddamnit i hate him,, i can never be him) the only downside is that he isn’t part of omega chi delta.

he got recruited to lambda in his first year ! still feeling giddy over defying his family, what was one more act of disobedience, honestly? he could almost hear his dad nagging him that if he were ever to join a frat in hworth, it should be the best, aka omega chi. surprisingly, he doesn’t really care. as with almost everything, he has grown to love the frat and would actually die for them. think of him as the big brother figure in lambda that everyone can rely on & runs to so he could fix things. he’s the philanthropy chair & IFC representative for a reason—he has a big heart and has a lot of love to give, plus he wants what’s best for lambda.

probably needs to take a break, but is honestly stubborn as hell to do so. his logic is that since he has been doing this circus of activities for three years and he has yet to crash and burn, why would it start now? (god someone pls save him !!!)

he isn’t really into parties, but would go to it for the sake of building & sustaining connections. he mostly just wants to rest during his free time (i mean, who could blame him ??) 

his time management skills are on fire though ! downside is that he doesn’t have as much fun as others do since he is always trying to hold back

okay so homeboy here has had it pretty easy his entire life. his dad works relentlessly as chief of neurosurgery in lower manhattan and his step-mom had worked as a prestigious legal practitioner; one of the most sought out lawyers in the state, and later, a socialite. like the infamous philosopher dr justin roberts once said: “six figures, i was only four”, malone was born with a silver spoon in his mouth. while most would assume he’s a straight up trust fund punk, though, he inherited his father’s impeccable work ethic to a fault.

as an only child and therefore sole heir to the sinclair estate, his parents have been on mal’s ass his entire life to give his absolute best in everything he does. health, school, sports, friendships, relationships, the whole shebang. his marks were always near the top of his class, he excelled at his two favourite sports; hockey during the winter, baseball during the summer. but it wasn’t until he hit his mid adolescent years, started developing an interest in girls ( whom he once thought were riddled with cooties ), that his focus faltered a wee bit and good lil o’malley boy started being a teenager.

embracing his lavish lifestyle and all the popularity / opportunities it handed him on a silver platter basically, mal was ho-ing himself around, partying it up with the elite crowd, earning himself a pretty risque rep among his peers. it wasn’t until he met his first actual serious girlfriend that he did his best to tone it tf down. and it worked, for awhile. but !! of course he fucked it all up and even though what’s done is done, he has big regrets. BIG regrets. mainly bc girl went absolutely wild and took a baseball bat to his ferrari yikes.

after graduating high school with exemplary marks, instead of taking the opportunity to potentially thrive in the big leagues of the sports world, malone opted to stick to his roots, following in his dad’s footsteps. he got accepted into hollingsworth as a pre-med student, studying all the biological sciences, and will be entering his senior year come september. his next big plan is to attend harvard to earn his medical degree and get the ball rollin.

malone still has a whole lot of growing up to do but he’s doing a lot better in comparison to his teenage fever years lmao. he loves helping others alright, giving back to the community & especially helping his frat bros whenever they’re in need. he’s very much.....a Dad in the sense that he coddles his bros but he does it while he’s drunk off his ass?? like if he isn’t winkwink busy himself winkwink, he has no issue busting down doors to check on ppl and hand out condoms like he’s jesus handing out water turned to wine.

on a sober note tho, mal is naturally loud af like.... he just has that thunderous voice that projects half a mile, and he likes to joke a lot so his laugh is even worse sdfhudgkjd. but all in all he’s a good guy ok he wants to do good for himself and everyone else, he just has issues listening to one head over... the other rip.

kat’s entire life has been a series of on accomplished goal after the next

born the eldest of five children she was always working alongside her parents to provide a stable home and good role model for her younger siblings

born barbara vlahakis to a then seventeen year old tabitha vlahakis. she was the unwanted child, the spontaneous hook-up in a bathroom stall gone wrong. her parents gave her up for adoption when she was around two months old. 

the new family consisted of two loving dads, an all-american, former hippie, ex- musician and a danish philosophist. if we’re being all formal, her full name in the papers is actually barbara waldroop-sønnichsen, but, you know, just waldroop is fine. 

she grew up in a suburban neighborhood in utah. 

when she was five, her dads adopted a second child, a two year old girl. when she was seven, a six months old boy joined the household. and believe it or not? they were such a fucking happy family.

that is, until her the youngest child, only seven years old, went missing. one moment he was playing at the park, just right across the road and the next? gone. vanished. and they searched for him like crazy, the police was on it, the whole fucking neighborhood. sadly, it wasn’t until four months later that the body was discovered in a lake, about three hours from the town. 

god, they were devastated. suddenly, life just became terrifying, unbearable for this family, and it would only get worse. 

they move to indiana. try to start over. 

two years later, mr.  sønnichsen gets diagnosed with liver cancer. he dies within a year. 

they move again, this time to connecticut, where they finally settle down for longer, make the place their new home. it took some time to adjust, but they got there eventually. 

it’s been the three of them for the longest while now and they’re super close. even though she’s now in college, a full on sorority girl, she still makes sure to phone home at least 4 times a week. she’s got the softest spot for her fam. 

mm m mm, but aside from that, personality wise … she’s v sarcastic. bitter, sharp and outspoken, appears constantly unimpressed and easily bored. has a lot of thoughts to share but bottles up emotions. bad at expressing how she feels so she usually deals with it on her own or cracks some dumb jokes ‘bout it. sort of distant. picky, pretentious enough. doesn’t trust easily. loyal to few, doesn’t seem to give a damn about the rest. huge skeptic, always ready for the worst and so okay with it at this point. legit has a resting bitch face all the time. appears rough around the edges but a lot of it is just an act. seems like the quiet type but then when u actually approach she can babble for days?? most of what she says tho is utter garbage. she loves nonsense, shit that’s absolutely out the window. the more ridiculous the better.

          + born and raised in a small town in north dakota, bael’s life started, as one might call it, on a bit of a bumpy road. his parents had met by chance in the town he’d never warm up to call home. they fell in love in the blink of an eye, seemingly seamlessly got together, engaged, married and pregnant with a child — and within the same fracture of a minimal moment, everything was over again. his father, originally from norway, had disappeared overnight, leaving the new mother alone with her newborn child.           + heartbroken and yet still blind in her love and hope that he would return, bael was named ‘ bjørn ‘ after his father — a wonderful man, as she would later tell him. a kind soul, a successful business man, a great father and a wonderful husband who loved both of them dearly and would, she had no doubt, come back soon enough.            + however, ‘ soon ‘ stretched into years and bael grew old enough to understand that he may had a biological father, but he did not have a real one, not the kind the other children had, anyway, and truth be told? he was fine with it. he had never known his life to be different. with his mother giving him everything he could need and more, he had never felt like he was missing a piece. he was a happy child, sharing his toys with anyone and everyone, helping his neighbours by turning ‘ carrying groceries ‘ and ‘ sweeping the leaves ‘ into a game he was more than keen to win.          + DISEASE & DEATH TW. maybe it was the happiness which had turned him blind or the naivety of a young boy believing his mother to be indestructible, but he never noticed her coughing or the fatigue which would bring her to her knees — until the ambulance stood in front of their house, the blinking blue light illuminating the streets and he was dragged into their neighbours house while his mother was “ being taken care of, don’t even worry, darling !! she’ll be up in no time at all, again !! “. unfortunately, she wasn’t. they were able to give her a few more weeks, less than two months, but in the end he had to say his final good bye.           + in an age too young for him to truly understand or process, the loss of his mother was something bael did not know how to deal with. he was angry – at the doctors, at his neighbour, at his mother and mostly at himself – and suppressed sorrow was the result of it. where he had been the definition of ’ the good kid ’ mere weeks prior, he suddenly started acting up and unfortunately, he never really stopped — and the excuse of his mother having died only saved him for so long. END OF TW           + he was able to stay with a friend for a while as social services searched him a proper place to stay, and when they finally came they told him they would take him home. he was confused, to say the least, and irritated all the more as he read the name ‘ wolff ‘ on the doorbell of a house he had probably even walked by before — and then he was introduced to his father who was indeed a wonderful man, as his mother had always told him, a kind soul, a successful business man, a great father and a wonderful husband. the problem? he was it solely to the new family and not to bael.           + ABUSE TW. repeatedly suspended from school for all the fights he picked, the vandalism he caused and the chaos he created, he knows he was never more than just a struggle to his father, and to say it simply, his father never shied away from reminding him that he was. it was around that time that he settled for the nickname ‘ bael ‘ as he did not want to carry his father’s name any longer, and in the same period he decided he would leave the town the first chance he got. END OF TW           + it took a while until he had the money together, getting himself a car and leaving ( just like his father once had ) over the course of a night, deciding to leave everything and everyone behind — except emmett park, who joined him on the road trip to nyc. the place which was supposed to make both their lives better compared to the boring hellhole they’d grown up in.          + for bael, it was a bit of a struggle from there, playing music kept him afloat as he picked the pieces of his life together, trying to fix them, even if only momentarily, and working for something better; to achieve the vision of a bright future his mother had always planned for him. he attended a random college at first, going with whichever one would have him, and then he took a bold shot — hollingsworth. they accepted him after several conversations, because he is a smart one if he wants to be, because he has a musical talent which is undeniable and the trouble around him seemed to have died at least a little bit. he could become successful alumni and if he acted up? they could still kick him out.        + he joined the band around teddy lockwood as an outlet for all the struggles he has suppressed and of course, because music is his greatest passion, a place he finally finds a real home in again and where he knows how to voice his emotions without actually having to talk about them. in the band he plays the bass and taking inspiration from his major, he often voices his opinion concerning the administrating of the band. however, he can actually play several other instruments.

sasha wasn’t always a closet pessimist . once upon a time she believed in the tooth fairy and justice and that if you drank your milk you’d grow up big and strong

but , as we know , the tooth fairy was just a demon that collected teeth . and she drank milk until it poured out of her ears only to peak at 5 foot 5 . and the justice system failed the duke’s …. miserably ( more on that later )

raised by a science teacher & a wedding planner in a middle class neighborhood in brooklyn , she was one of two children . a spunky kid with guts and charm , sasha was a picture perfect child … but also v erica sinclair-y

she won science fairs all over brooklyn and entered every contest known to man . sasha even tried to break a guinness world record

unfortunately some of that tenacity left the day sean was murdered

no one knows exactly what happened that night , but the family has some ideas . the case was never solved and went cold after a year , but in the pit of her stomach , sasha knows the police department didn’t do their due diligence .

her parents sent her to grief counseling , but sas believes she’s perfectly fine . she just knows everything and everyone is bullshit . this mentality put a wedge between her and her parents though. they think she’s troubled , she thinks they’re full of it

she kinda floated through high school & her teachers just had to understand because she never failed a class and they let her do a ton of makeup work , but she’s also v bright & excelled in science

— esmeralda winters was born to a rich family. her dad owns his own start up company and her mother was a small time actress, just doing a few roles on television. growing up, essie had everything she could ever want for. she was spoiled rotten and didn’t grow up learning the value of a dollar. she only needed to ask and she’d get what she wanted. 

— she was always very close to her mother, who stopped working for a short period of time after essie was born, but went back to work when her daughter was three. essie practically grew up on movie and television sets and adored the atmosphere of them. since her dad was always working and her mother couldn’t watch her on sets, she was raised by different nannies or people that worked on her mom’s shows. 

— essie tried to get her mother to let her act as a child, however her mother said no. instead essie spent her time doing beauty pagents. since she wasn’t the most academic minded, her parents let her do what she want, but if her grades slipped (anything below a 90 was unacceptable) they brought in tutors to help her understand, which she was always thankful for since it helped keep her grades up. 

— in her senior year of high school, essie’s father’s company was involved in a scandal and was forced to shut down. the company’s assets were frozen and essie’s family had to move from their luxuary town home in new york city to a tiny apartment. suddenly, she went from having everything to nothing. she struggled through the rest of her school year, only getting by because of the theatre program. 

— she had applied and gotten in to hollingsworth before her father’s company went under. her mother assured her that they could pay for her school with the money she’d made over the years. essie has no idea if that’s true or not, but since hollingsworth has a great reputation for their theatre program, she decided to go. 

— essie’s mother was a zeta when she went to school, so she decided to rush her freshman year and is glad she did. while the zetas are much more down to earth than she’s used to, it reminds her of the best parts of what she learned her senior year at school. she’s learned that she actually enjoys charity work and helping others more than she thought.

sooo dorian is a recycled muse that i’ve decided to revamp because the original muse was geared toward a greek mythos rp when i first created him. however, many aspects of him are still the same??!!

dorian’s father had ambitions of him to become a lawyer #howasianofhim?? but because dorian’s like no man, i’m my own person, he went for sports instead. he was always very good at them and this was something that his mom always supported him in versus becoming a lawyer.

his mom passed away when dorian was thirteen, which drove a big wedge between him and his dad. dorian’s mom always told him stories about the greek tragedies and it’s always why he’s always believed that the world is like them??? and it’s why he always likes looking at the stars and all?

dorian doesn’t really trust anyone which is why he doesn’t have a lot of friends minus his frat brothers and all or doesn’t really have a stable romantic relationship.

speaking of romatic relationships, dorian’s been one to be with both men and woman, a big no-no in his father’s eyes. it’s always been difficult for dorian to be in a relationship because he lost love at such a young age. his dad never really showed affection toward anyone and this is what dorian kinda bases everything around since his mom died... if that makes any sense.

dorian decided to go for sports science because he feels like this’ll make his dad somewhat proud??

she always fought with her father, and on a car ride back home, her drunk father hit someone, causing them to die on the spot. panicked, her father drove away without calling for help. her father paid all of the tabloids and news stations to keep the case quiet and everything

her mother decided to let her go to hollingsworth, to escape the murder allegations & abuse & rumors & everything that she’s ever been

there, maddie bloomed into an entirely different person

she was no longer the kid who’s only redeeming quality was her bank account. she was no longer bullied for being adopted, bullied for not being loved by her father. there weren’t any whispers behind her back on how she and her father are murderers

now, everyone knows her. she’s the maddie kane. the one you see frequently on instagram, twitter, and snapchat. the consistent dean’s lister of her major. the secretary of kappa kappa tau. she’s that girl you’ll see walking around dressed in the most expensive clothes, talking to everyone and anyone she sees

This is Zelda , a bit more of a happy-go-lucky muse compared to Sam !! She’s both her own character mixed with a few others I have - I love her dearly , so please please please feel free to come at me for plots !! <3 HERE WE GO :

HISTORY

Zelda’s backstory isn’t anything special - growing up in Scotland her parents had a nice marriage , she grew up an only child , always got good grades

But she always felt... average. She never was really anyone to anybody , so Zelda had a bit of a knack for wanting attention and trying to get her voice out there. So some took this as endearing , some took it as annoying.

In high school , she was lucky enough to be selected for an exchange student program in Salem , Massachusetts - and then she’d meet the FIRST person who would make her feel special in SAGA ( Sexuality And Gender Acceptance ) Club , a cheeky blonde boy named Cyrus who had a tendency to hide in the corner of the room and not talk to many people. And they’d date for about a year , up until Zelda would have to go back to Scotland.

They had to break up when Zelda would leave , but remained extremely close and communicating daily through digital connections.

ANYWAY , that little one year romance sort of gave her more confidence to use her voice and try and light up the room - since if she could do it for one person , she could do it for multiple people. That’s what gave her the idea to pursue a career in DIGITAL MEDIA -  namely , film & video ( with digital art and photography on the side ) in the more comedic aspect. Screenplaying and the technicals behind sketch-comedy skits. Stand-up comedy , even though that was more performing.

Think like Saturday Night Live - and then think of all the technical stuff that goes into it besides the acting. The script-writing , camera angles , etc. Zelda just wanted to make people laugh.

Soooo… when she told her parents that would be what she wanted to do , her average home-life would turn sour CONSIDERING they didn’t want her to explore such risky career choices. An easier life would be to become a lawyer or a doctor - more stable. But that’s not what she wanted. So after a LENGTHY argument with her parents , Zelda would be thrown out of the house with only the money she saved ( thankfully , she’d always been the frugal one ) , and would call . . . her ex-boyfriend and his mother. Since even though they’d only been communicating digitally over the past two years , it still felt like home in Massachusetts.

Her ex’s mother would pay for a flight for her to go back to the United States , and after some time of adjusting , she’d get into Hollingsworth to pursue her career in Digital Media - staying there , but often traveling home ( being where her ex and his mom lived ) routinely.

Pledging to Gamma , her insistence for encouraging people to live their life to the fullest and readiness to include people in her free spirited antics would leave a great impression on the sorority - eventually even leading to her current position as its president.

CHARACTER / FACTS

So again !! Zelda is my trans female pansexual bby , 5’11 bc tall girls make the world go round and she is the LIVING EXAMPLE of the Halcyon label. She’s loud , carefree , optimistic - never really known to pass up an opportunity to have fun.

BUT YEAH Zelda ?? Does not give a shit about anything. She holds no grudges towards anyone , waaaay too chill - but she flips from extremely chill and laid back to “HEY HEY LET’S GO DO THESE TEN THINGS” and it’s. Definitely a 360. But nobody’s ever seen her angry and it sort of makes people wonder if she even feels anger or if she has a secret dark side nobody knows about.

...She doesn’t. Zelda’s only habits when angry are that she’s short , to the point , and WILL call you out if you’ve done something wrong. But making her mad is extremely hard and she’ll only remotely get upset if you prove time and time after again to be a shitty person.

Which , can sort of lead her to get taken advantage of because of her chill nature - that’s how the previous issue with Gamma getting in trouble at one of their parties happened. Zelda got pissed. She knows she’s chill but she doesn’t think about how that could lead SOME people to thinking “oh I can do anything I want and she’ll be fine with it” because she doesn’t. Get angry about much.

ALSO THAT DOES MAKE HER A BIT NAIVE - just again. She’s easy to take advantage of because she believes the best in everyone and automatically assumes people will do the right thing as people. Doesn’t really understand why people will do things to hurt others and doesn’t really want to.

Also kind of jumpy like she’s a social person and definitely flips between lax and loud but it is SO easy to startle her.

AS FOR HER INTERESTS IN DIGITAL MEDIA - she is extremely talented with the entire Adobe Creative Suite , especially Premiere , Photoshop , and After Effects.

She has an Instagram dedicated to posting manips , edits , etc. she made in both PS & AE. You know those funky Insta edits you see all the time ?? Zelda makes those.

She ALSO does a lot of editing and promotion for Gamma - a lot of times they’re memey little videos or advertisements or skits that display how welcoming Gamma is , and they do a great job at leaving a good impression on possible recruits.

Her BIG thing though would be a little YouTube channel she runs where she often posts videos just around campus - think Billy On The Street , which is what she really wants to do with her digital media career.

She either wants to do that - or mockumentaries to put on Youtube ( or even documentaries in a whole that she approaches with her extremely sunny demeanor on conspiracies or the like ). She’d also like to film her own show to put on TV , either something like reality comedy , a reality show spoof , or even something like It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia or The Office or Brooklyn 99. Comedy film is her passion.

Commentary videos are ALSO something she’s considered , much like iNabber or Strange AEons , but she thinks mockumentaries , skits , and her other work

Also that person who Photoshops heads on people’s bodies and makes memes for all the group chats she’s in

She really doesn’t take herself seriously often but frankly that’s just Gamma as a whole so it WORKS.

A good portion of Zelda’s existence is a meme tbh I honestly adore her

She has a LOT of tattoos that were designed by her ex-boyfriend since he was an art major and now is a tattoo artist in Salem - I’d point you in the direction of Hannah Pixie Snowdon’s body art as a reference , just Zelda isn’t nearly as covered as she is.

This would be the best reference I can think of rn , lots of pretty designs and some animals, maybe some symbols and references from stuff. 

Olivia doesn’t have any tattoos but WE CAN CERTAINLY PRETEND

A lot of her spare money is made doing either graphics commissions or even photography from whoever needs her services !! The majority of her stuff has been done for cosplayers , budding models , budding actors and actresses , and even for other fraternities and sororities around campus. Zelda knows no rivalries when it comes to these things.

She’s also 100% that person who keeps around a polaroid camera so she can hang up pictures she takes she’s just That Person
