If anyone is interested, when my laptop first died and I was all woe is me, I wanted to keep the bmo vibe strong in my brain so I made some pinterest boards. This is the one for the wedding chapter.

There are some maze pics there because the first draft of the chap had Levi discovering Eren and Mikasa locking lips in a giant maze. But when I went to edit it, it just didn't work well with the rest of the chapter. I spent weeks trying to fix it and make the logistics work (why would eren be out there? How would levi get there? Where would armin go? Why would levi remove himself from the wedding party? If zeke refuses to go look for Eren, then why would Hange feel sympathetic towards him and dance with him? So many questions that couldnt be answered lol). I rewrote the scenes before it and played around with previous scenes to make the set up work, but it still wasn't working.

Sometimes, you try so hard to make an idea/scene work and you cling to something you find interesting (I do love a maze and just wanted to have Levi stumble on them) but really the best thing to do is cut it and approach it differently.

I went with Levi consoling a drunk Mrs Smith instead and spotting Eren and Mikasa from afar. I much prefer this, it fits with (bmo) levi's character and it conveys a lot more than the original maze scene.
