I accept all well-intentioned expletives. Hoard them like candy. TBH, I don't really know how to express my thanks for your very generous assertions about my writing. Writers are like anxious horses, they will bolt at the first assumption. XD But really, I'm glad you're enjoying my story as much as I do because this message really picked me up after a bit of a maelstrom of shit. I pegged this weekend to put on my adult pants and work on it but it hasn't exactly panned out as I had hoped.

But for my appreciation of your appreciation, there's a bit from what I'm working on to show that it's still alive, it's happening (when? - when dis bitch gets their shit together):

Kinn dips his face and scents along Porsche’s jaw, down the column of his throat and hedging near his mark, “Kinn.”

His voice is short and Kinn stops, raising his head up. Porsche can see his eyes now, gold yes, but they look completely different to any other time Porsche has seen them. The black of his pupil is lengthened and almost from the top of his iris to the bottom but barely the width of a quarter of it. A dragon’s eye.

Oh.

“Is it you?” He asks quietly. Big watches him with an intense look, shaking his head when Porsche exposes his neck more to Kinn. “I’m okay. We’re okay.”
