What do you think Rasiel looks like in the present? We only got to see him TYL and as a child, but I think seeing him in the normal timeline would have been interesting too, even if it was just a quick glimpse...

OOOOOOH FUN! I'M GLAD YOU ASKED!!! I have quite a few different ideas on what present day Rasiel could look like!

I'll start with what I think might possibly be the only glimpses of what present day Rasiel may have looked like.

I say this only because in each picture he is depicted beside present day Bel instead of tyl Bel. While the second one is likely just the outfits they wore when they were children, the first pic shows Siel wearing an outfit that doesn't really look like his tyl appearance. The simplified details make it hard for me to tell what kind of shirt he has on, and I'm not sure what the green bit is supposed to be, but it doesn't look like a button down. His sleeves are also puffier and go all the way down to his hands instead of stopping above his wrists.

I think it might be something similar to a ruffled blouse, which would feel fitting given he leans a lot harder into his royal appearance than Bel does.

Siel wants to look important, Bel just wants to look like Bel.

Might sound like a weird detail but I wanna add that TYL Rasiel's pants always looked like tights/leggings to me because he doesn't have a belt and there's almost no visible seams on them. Him wearing something similar in the present wouldn't surprise me.

So the general idea I have for present day Siel is probably a long white ruffled blouse with some kind of tights/leggings or tight fitted pants under it. Can't tell much from the pic about his boots so that parts a toss up but they're probably on the classier side. His hair may or may not be as long as it is tyl but its still noticeably longer than Bel's. He actually looks like he might be wearing gloves in the pic too. I'm gonna say his nails are def still painted black tho, that detail is too cute to pass up.

That's just imo the most likely scenario based on that one pic. So I'll move to some looks I've played with for him based on hc.

Just because of how extra he looked tyl with the cape, the throne, black nails, and swarm of bats, I am super here for goth/scene phase when he was younger.

I've drawn Siel a few times in what I consider a present day look

I do sometimes use the look that's more like the one shown in the official art with my head canons but I'll be honest I find that kind of shirt very hard draw, so that version of him doesn't make it into my art most of the time.

Recently I've started liking the idea of Bel and Siel swapping hairstyles from present to future. Siel having messier styled hair vs Bel's straight and simple bowl cut in the present. Then in the future Siel's straightened layered hair vs Bel's absolute mess that he forgot how to brush. They swapped their childhood colors, may as well swap some other details too.

It definitely would have been interesting to see him in the present tho! I love the thought of Bel and Siel constantly bickering over petty shit and clashing on sight. Petty bickering between rude asshole characters is the best. 100% missed opportunity, especially since Fran isn't in the Varia in the present. Now there's no one around to regularly shit talk Bel :c
