what is your red flag as a reader in fanfic?

when a supposed li or really any other character within the fic bitchslaps the reader I usually tap out.

or i stop reading and take a moment to calm myself tf down from wanting to strangle that character before i keep going.

#ask for moi #i dont condone that shit esp. from li's/the other part of a ship (romantic or no) im like BYE 👋 #its mainly due to my fluctuating empathy levels when I read #so whump fics may or may not hold my interest (depends entirely on its appearance and reasoning and eventual effect on the plot) #like if its just a fic where the reader gets abused/bullied over and over and theres no silver lining then there's no point in reading it #i usually stay if its part of dissecting a dark character and shows how fucked up they are or if they're hurting a lot inside. #it easier to sit through when it only appears once/it happens and the reader/other character stand up to the abuse #idk if this made sense 😅 #so tldr no Bully!LI/CharacterxBullied!/Abused!Reader ship for me lol
