So Did GF in the basscle au go demon after Bf's death? Also nay chance of a ghost BF?

I like to imagine that the Dearest family have what’s basically the equivalent of like a “demon puberty” that’s triggered by a certain event which causes the person to turn purple and all around look more demonic, + gain cool demon powers or something. This is such a silly comparison but it’s kind of like how Vampirism worked in Hotel Transylvania 2 !

So, the event that caused GF to finally transform into a demon was Boyfriend’s death. It was traumatic and horrific to see her lover be murdered in front of her eyes, so she completely lost it. Now she’s purple <3

I was actually considering the idea of having a ghost Boyfriend appear !! However, I couldn’t figure out where/how it would fit in the story. I do really want the original Boyfriend to haunt the story, but not as a literal ghost. More like the idea or memory of him haunts the story - and specifically Bassclef.

The now dead Boyfriend is the reason Bassclef can’t be in love with Girlfriend, like his programmed memories tell him he is. Boyfriend is the reason Girlfriend is miserable, and shuts the world out now. Knowing that Boyfriend was a real person who lived and breathed once is the reason that Bassclef—who IS essentially Boyfriend, with the same memories and feelings—had to go through so much pain in order to reinvent and rebrand himself as “Bassclef”. Even though there’s no literal ghost of Boyfriend, the memory of him is enough to haunt everyone.
