#i love this form bc it’s a BEAST. I just used it in Monstropolis btw. still in it and just observing what he does.
Once again:
The way Sora becomes Rage Mode/Anti-Sora is just so?? Sad??? Kinda???
Like this option is only available once he loses so much health and is like close to dying or passing out. And I think this is such a specific detail. Seriously, you cannot use this form as long as he has good HP, and I think that’s all it depends on. Not magic lvl, not the MP gauge, not his focus, nor any of his keyblades.
At least this is what I think. If he can use this form in any other way, then I’m interested in knowing, but from what I’ve experienced, he can’t. He can only use it when he’s close to death or passing out. AND the other time he is in this form is when Xehanort steals his light in the ending. He literally steals the light from his body and he becomes Anti-Sora/Rage Form and I believe this is Nomura being like, “YO this is VERY important.”
Mainly because like…why would he specifically include that detail with Xehanort? Couldn’t he have only stolen some HP or MP? Or even took away Donald and Goofy and made it one on one for a moment? But no he literally stole his light and forced him into Anti-Sora/Rage Mode. I think this only proves more that Sora has this darkness within him that he can control, but that saves him in a way. When he’s out of light, he has a form to rely on that he can still control but also not.
Whenever we’re in this form, Sora is looking around, flinching or spazzing, jumping slightly, and in constant fighting position. It’s like it’s his defense. With no light, he goes into a defense mode with his darkness that is constantly on watch and not resting.
Ik I’m overthinking it, but the fact that Nomura gave us this form in the first place and the fact that’s it canonically used in the final battle is very interesting and seems important to me.
And Ik I’ve been posting about Rage Form/Anti-Sora so much but it’s just always on my thoughts guys. Just like Soriku lol.
