ive been on a kick of listening to the vaselines lately and i honestly kinda want to make a list of bands that rock but would have been lost completly to obscurity if it wasn’t for bigger bands liking their stuff

#i think abt this a lot with they might be giants bc they covered cub’s ‘new york city’ and to this day ppl think thats a tmbg song #nirvana covered a few vaselines songs but im not sure if ppl know theyre covers or not #just curious abt the phenomeon tbh. i found cub and the vaselines through my dad but id bet you most ppl find them thru the larger bands #that liked them. i cant think of any other examples but im sure there r many
