had these two fire emblem engaged for 90% of my first run and this is how i think their dynamic was

Ranking the Teams in Tiger x Bunny S2

My opinion that might change once the season finishes, based on the first 13 eps. 

#6 Mr. Black and Thomas is Here

I’ll be honest they read like Tiger and Bunny lite. While I do feel bad cause they have the handicap of them being new and not having much by way of screen time. Fact remains at this time I can’t say much about them as individuals or their dynamic except that it feels like a less engaging version of the main duo.

#5 Origami Cyclone and Rock Bison 

Oh this hurts cause I adore them both and I like their kind of big brother younger brother vibe they got going but it feels like the writers don’t know how to play them. Their issues are very blah. I kinda just wish it were written differently cause there is a lot of potential here cause they both have confidence issues but show it very differently. 

#4 Kid Dragon and Magical Cat

This one was a surprise, I really enjoyed seeing Kid getting to be a mentor and while I’m still iffy on Cat she definitely benefited from being paired with an OG character unlike Thomas and Black. It used this to better explore the character of Cat so the relationship felt very symbiotic with her character. A nice touch.

#3 Sky High and Fire Emblem

A very fun pair to watch and great to see how they balance each other. I had never really thought how these two might work together but it’s really not surprising they work so well. While i did like how Sky High gives Fire more stability in their life and influences healthier choices. I’d like to see more on how Fire effects Sky High back. I know a lot of people are shipping them now but I’m on the fence, I still prefer Fire x Rock a little, and like objectively the thought of them being each other wingman is too good. I’m excited to see more with this pair. 

#2 Tiger and Barnaby

Ok soooooo here’s the thing I still love and adore these two and their interactions this season were great but it’s sort like a comfort show with them now. I know what I’m gonna get and that’s good but theres also no real surprises which is why my number one is....

#1 Blue Rose and Golden Ryan

The dark horse of this race and of my god did I love every second of this duo. They are so similar and you’d think that’d be a bad thing but it’s not they balance each other out cause they can see through the others bull shit cause its THEIR bull shit. From Ryan being afraid Rose was gonna leave him but not wanting to admit he likes working with her, to Rose pretending to be mad that Ryan brought her to her friends concert but actually really happy cause she wanted to be their. They were just a delight, which is saying something cause up until now I never really gave either much mind. I didn’t hate them or anything I just felt like there were more interesting characters around. But put them together and its just so great they are both so adorably prideful but insecure little drama queens and it just made me so happy.
