Mini Recap of Ika’s IG Live 2-6-18

Ika was exhausted and you could tell emotional. She is missing Dem so bad right now. The majority of the live was about Dem or them.

She’s using the shea butter that the fan sent her. She uses it a lot and really likes it.

Not going to anymore fashion shows this week, she is very tired.

Her phone is on 20%; someone reminded her to charge her portable charger.

Demetres “forgot” her Miracle 10 stuff in Edmonton. She says that he forgot to pack the stuff. She thinks he’s scamming her. Someone comments that his skin is looking flawless, “he’s looking flawless in Edmonton.”

She asks for updates on CBB, she hasn’t seen the live feeds sneak peeks, but she will watch tomorrow.

The towel she’s wearing was falling a bit: “I don’t want this towel to expose my things, Demetres’ things. I don’t think he’d like that very much.”

She’s having a really hard week. She says that when they’re together she knows Dem has to go home and she has to go home and she’ll see him soon, but there are times when they really miss each other and they can’t handle it. She said sometimes they go through it at the same time and sometimes they go through it separately. He went through it a couple days ago and now it’s hitting her. They’re skipping Valentine’s Day because they’re seeing each other later this month. There are just those days when she just needs him, when she needs someone who just really cares about her. Today is one of those days.

She had his gym bag because she needed to bring a change of clothes to Fashion Week last night.

She talked about how LDRs are so hard, and it’s different for them because they started off their relationship living together and then went to not living together.

Ika: “Of course we’ve talked about moving. We’ve talked about everything a normal couple in a relationship talks about.”

Dem has a friend in a LDR, his friend lives in Edmonton and his girlfriend lives in Calgary. “We are always saying we would kill for that.”

Several people in the chat shared that they’re in LDRs and one person asked for tips as it is new for her: Trust each other for sure. They didn’t really listen to other people’s tips and just are doing what’s right for them. People think they’re crazy for seeing each other so often, but you have to find out what works for you in your relationship. They facetime every night before bed; she falls asleep on facetime. They also talk throughout the day.

Ika: “It’s really hard not seeing Dem. When we first left the house we watched the edits you guys made us all the time, but I can’t even watch those now because I miss him so much and it makes me sad.”

LDR is expensive because of the ticket, but it all evens out (not going out and using that money for the ticket instead).

Someone asked how he asked her to be his girlfriend. Ika said that when the show ended she knew that she really liked him and she thought he did too. Ika was only saying what she said in the house because she didn’t want to be the only one who wanted something outside of the house. He asked after the show, before Niagara, if she would be his girlfriend. It wasn’t a super serious moment, they were being funny about it and after he asked her she started laughing.

Dem and her are so elementary school. Sometimes they’ll be in the same room but she’ll run to the next room and text him what she wants to say. She’s more elementary than Dem; he tells her how he feels all the time. He lets her know she’s loved. She emphasized that it’s nice to be with someone who understands her and understands her personality, and he likes her personality a lot (she really emphasized that). “He’s so sweet to me, I’m happy.”

Her iPhone made a story and it was of her trip with Dem in Edmonton and when she was going through it she saw the pic that they took on top of the Banff sign. She’s going to post it, and it means so much to her because it reminds her of all the small things that he does for her. Dem doesn’t care about pictures, but he made sure that she got the pic she wanted. She always go back to that picture, it makes her miss him so much.

Reads a comment from Andrew about IG living the wedding. “When and if we get married, maybe we’ll IG live a small part just for you, Andrew.”

Someone asks how Dem’s job is going. She says it is going so good, he recently got two listings and he’s selling two houses. She’s so proud of him. He’s doing really well.

They recorded some videos in LA and they got deleted. Dem even tried downloading some thing to recover old videos and it didn’t work. She wants to post the prank video but wants other content first. She feels so bad about the prank video.

What would you be doing if you hadn’t met Dem: “I wouldn’t be this happy. I don’t want to think about it, it makes me sad, I’m gonna cry.”

Karen is her lifelong friend and she talked to her this morning. Her and Dem are planning to visit her.

They didn’t really put limitations on the amount of clothes they could bring into the bbcan house.

What’s next for her: “Life. I don’t know, I’m just out here living.”

She wonders why there are always questions about marriage and kids when people get in relationships (not just for them but in general).

Would you go back on reality TV?: “I don’t think so. I feel like you have gotten to know me. On season two you were introduced to me and on season five I could just be myself and didn’t have to censor myself. I got to know myself a little as well. We’re good now. Get to know other people, and like those people.” Season 2 bugged her because she didn’t get to show what kind of game player she could be. It was so embarrassing she couldn’t win an HOH, she just couldn’t pull it out.

She says we don’t understand how amazing we are to her and she really appreciates it.

She talks to Karen, Cass, Gary. Dem talks to Dallas.

She got another wig she hasn’t worn yet; it’s from a different company. Both her old wig and the DivasWig tangle and shed, but she loves the DivasWig; doesn’t love it straightened but she’s going to try again. She’ll try blonde again, maybe during the summer. She constantly touches her hair because she talks so much with her hands so it’s something for her hands to do (she doesn’t like how much she talks with her hands during interviews). She doesn’t like dying her hair, she did a bit when she was younger but now she won’t mess with it.

She’s so jealous of everyone in Edmonton right now. A couple said where they are at the moment. Ika: “I’m not jealous of you guys though because you’re not where Demetres is.”

When you’re in the Toronto scene, there’s a lot of people who are so catty and they think they are so cool and they’re so disingenuous. It’s amazing when you find someone who’s so sweet and so nice. When discussing this she was specifically talking about Shannon (a person on IG but I can’t remember her name and my phone died lol).

Someone in the comments say they hate Arisa. Ika blocks them then talks about Arisa and how sweet and nice she is. Says she taught Ika a lot, how to stay humble and stay hungry. People start saying that the guy she blocked was one of Dem’s clients but Ika says she thinks he was lying because she knows Dem’s clients.

She is not afraid of Dem pranking her because he can’t get her back. He’s not as smooth as she is.

For CBB, she is rooting for Ari; liked a lot of the women. Liked Shannon, though her personality isn’t for her (too laid back). Liked Ross. Needs to see the first episode to see where she’s at. Spent most time with Marissa because they got lunch at the same time. Says a lot of these people are going to be aware of their image and the season isn’t really long enough for them to expose themselves for who they really are.

Are we going to see you in the upcoming season: “I don’t think so, I’m going to be home watching just like you are.” Probably wouldn’t do another season, it’s so draining. And the BB people don’t like her and their main goal would be to get her out, not win the game.

If Dem ever played again and if she had to watch she’d lose her mind. It would be so hard to watch. If people said mean things about him… she would be so scared for him.

Tonight she’s going to relax and talk to Dem and maybe go somewhere with her kids.
