#i've been thinking a lot about nex benedict and brianna ghey's murders #and how they were both sixteen. and i can clearly remember the fear i felt when i was sixteen #because i had no idea how people would react to me coming out as trans. it was so unpredictable #idk how to say this. the warning signs have been there the whole time #and these are just 2 reported cases. #how much blood on their hands do people in power need before they realise their policies are killing people #killing children #i can recognise my 16 year old self a lot in nex and brianna #it's just haunting. the only time you hear about trans people in the news is when they're dead or being mocked
