Went to my first actual writing critique workshop and they said IT SOUNDED LIKE FANFICTION BRUH

#it wasn’t hurtful LOL but #I could tell one person reads fic bc they were telling me it’s a compliment #idk I guess I just thought my stuff wasn’t overtly tropey #not that fic is just tropes #you know what I mean #that was funny #and by funny I mean I have a lot to think about #not writing
