This is so so hard but the ones that jumped to my mind right now:

Terry Pratchett (discworld)

Robin Hobb (realm of the elderlings)

N. K. Jemisin (inheritance and broken earth)

Not necessarily in that order! I would put leguin and stanislaw lem up there but i havent read enough by them yet

I think pratchett is the most consistently good of the three, i have yet to read a discworld book i didnt like, some of the realm of the elderlings books have a weak plot / weird themes and i wasnt a huge fan of the first inheritance book / some of the elements in that series (i think her second trilogy, broken earth, is a lot more compelling, to me at least)

I used to put sanderson in my top 3 but recently he has been on thin ice with me haha still love many of the characters and stories but the man himself is getting on my nerves </3

3. Favorite musical artist / group you started listening to this year?

This year i started listening to Nothing but Thieves and Within Temptation, and i really enjoy their music, they arent favorites of mine yet but i can see that changing

14. Favorite book you read this year?

Really though one, i read a lot of very different stuff this year. Uhmmm i think solaris by stanislaw lem, fools fate by Robin hobb, reaper man by terry pratchett and don Quixote (vol 1, i haven't had time to read the second part) are the ones that have stayed with me the most!

19. What’re you excited about for next year?

Hopefully getting a better job and having more time to read? Honestly i just want 2023 to be better than this one lol

Oh also, hozier and fall out boy will be releasing soon so im looking forward to that :)

25. Did you create any characters (in games, art, or writing) this year? Describe one

Most of my ocs that i have talked about here had been on my mind for a while, one that i came up with recently thought is Isolda Mara. Isolda is one of the rulers of the land where my wip is set, her nation is vaguely based off my region of venezuela and shes a rich, old woman with a harsh personality and very conservative. Isolda is not exactly an antagonist, but she upholds a very unjust system and clings tightly to power. Physically shes a tall, imposing woman, always dressed elegantly, and she keeps her long gray hair beautifully styled. She doesnt look very strong but she exudes power and control.
