#okay so like read the link to the past manga for the first time today #the Himekawa version #and like #v pretty art! #i liked the theme running through it w threads of the knights of hyrule and how this link fits into the bigger picture #what i *dont* understand tho is just randomly adding another character to the main story who becomes a companion to link #and is integral to the plot #and kinda lowkey takes away from the fact that this is one of the links who had to go thru everything on his own #snsjdkfk idk im too picky ig #just felt like the time she took up couldve been better spent developing other angles #like #the actual adventury parts of the adventure ajdjdkdk #sorry sorry ill stop now it was still neat to see a new interpretation of the story ajdjdk #okay no actually #like shes unintentionally helping link then wants to kill him then theyre cool again and she never *really* meant it then shes lost #then shes back again then shes jealous of zelda then shes the final boss before ganon and then secretly a knight of hyrule all along #like link and uses the silver arrows *instead* of zelda?? #then gets like no closure at the end after all that ajsjdksd #like??? #if you add this character whos just randomly a descendant of the knights of hyrule too at the end does that not take away from #link being the kingdoms last hope??? #ajsjskkdkd idk ig im a little salty after all ajdkdk XD
