Good news, everyone, the lines and shadows on my accent were dark enough :D
The markings are supposed to kind of look like stretch marks but also kind of like flames. I’m fairly satisfied with the results. (The tartan, of course, is just Stylish.)

That was the best ~200kt I have ever spent. (I was aiming for the ice eggs.) (If you do not play Flight Rising: I spent about three days’ moderate-effort-grinding worth of dragonbucks on ingame raffle tickets. The thing I won is worth approximately 80 times that much.)

I need someone to help me decide who’s a cuter Fire rep, because I can’t choose, and I also can’t justify making myself two permababy Coatls.

I have been working on a particular Flight Rising breeding pair since July of last year. I’ve been breeding dozens of nests, endlessly haunting the Auction House for more fresh blood in the apparently very rare range of colors that I’m interested in, cursing the name of the Assay Bloodlines tool every time it tells me that whoops actually those two dragons I was going to breed together were related four generations back so I can’t, and wondering how many eggs it will take for one of these “25% chance of producing the colors I want” pairs to actually cough up the goods already.
Finally, today, I finished geneing up my final breeding pair, used my free flight change to get matching eyes, and brought my long-held dream to life by clicking the “Confirm Breeding Pair“ button.
I snorted out loud. Thanks for the welcome, Earth Dad.

Now to spend, like, a week waiting for the queue, only to find out that whoever reviewed my submission did not feel that the lines or shadows were “noticeably darker" than the color beneath them. After which I will darken them slightly and then wait another week.

In today's dragon capitalism news, someone listed an item on the auction house for 10kt even though it usually goes for 500g bare minimum, and I grabbed it before sending them a "hey was that a mistake and do you want this back" message. They don't seem to want it back. I am woefully confused.
For not FR people, 10,000 treasure is worth roughly 10 gems (two percent or less of the usual going rate for this thingy). Also, the "auction house" is where players sell items to each other at fixed-by-seller prices. You have to go to the forums to do actual auctions. Don't look at me, I didn't name it.

I am very much the only person in my household who is interested in Flight Rising, and I don’t talk to anyone on there except to negotiate trades and stuff, which means that I’m going to yell about this here.
So! I bought a very lovely five-digit back in 2018, who was extra interesting to me because he had been bred/still had descendants who were breeding. Through a series of steps, that has evolved into me looking up and procuring active dragons descended from each of my 5/6 digits, with the purpose of using them to breed pretties to sell (i.e. keeping the line going).
I bought Halcyon and Sangar as fodder off the AH last July (I couldn’t pick/didn’t want to separate them):
They are the great-greats of the five-digit I started this with (he is my favorite old man and I love him):
Iago 💜 > Rukki > Dasos > Pine > Crabgrass > Bergamot > Eren > Orobranche > Aloe > Xerune > Aurora > Ulmo > Reagle > Zinnasaadi > Shelley > Norman > Aodhaigh > happy gaoler sibs
I’ve been working on looking up descendants for the last couple of oldies and then yesterday I realize --
Azul 💜 > Sabrina > Sage > Tashka > Ask > Pickles > Mayel > Kunzite > Pidge > Kune > Balsam > Aenyrthan > Mauro > Norman > Aodhaigh > wait
waitasec I know those first two offspring names
It turns out that these two dragons, who are descended from my favorite five-digit (and who I sometimes think of as being sort of like me and my lovely sister Hope when I take them to the coli to beat up on offbrand shoggoths, which is another way in which they are special to me) -- are also, in a freak of coincidence, descended from my favorite six-digit as well.
[pets purple babies] i love youuuu
