i started reading the sandman comics btw and god damn you can tell it was written in the 90s its kind of fascinating

#theres a lot of stuff thats like. ok this was probably pretty groundbreaking for its time but would get cancelled on twitter #wrt representation #i heard the next volume (a game of you) is very much also like that but idk where it is its mysteriously missing from the bookshelf #my dads rereading the comics at the same time as me reading it though so its possible he took it with him on his trip #(that he comes back from today) #oh well we'll see #i am enjoying them though for the arcs adapted in the show i prefer the way the show is structured #rose feels so much more like A Character you know. comics!dolls house is a lot weaker as a story #introducing the corinthian way earlier in the show was a great idea theres a lot of little changes like that that make it flow better #the show is also a lot less bogged down by attempts to tie it closely to other dc comics but i started noticing that being less of a thing #as it went on #season of mists was GREAT definitely my favorite arc so far. love how you get all ready for dream to go fuck shit up in hell #and then it ends up being 'dream gets stuck with an entire realm he doesnt want and there are a bunch of gods arguing over it' #idk i thought it was fun :)
