#iobartach.
@iobartach asked : you’re going to pay for this later. + that was way too close of a call.
harry offers miguel a silent look – a glare , of all things . hearing his words give them flashbacks to their father , when he was alive : nonetheless , harry doesn't say much except give off a scoff , as if they were the one that was disappointed in him instead of the other way around . there's an attitude coming from the osborn , shaking their head – contemplating on saying something , getting into an argument with miguel himself , considering that they have the time to . " oh no . what ever will i do ? " sarcasm drips from their mouth , eyes rolling back as a response to the spiderman – another shake of their head , knowing that they'd get into it & harry's ready , of course they are . " . . it wasn't that close of a call , " they're mumbling , shoulders shrugging as they're acting nonchalant , hoping that it'll bother him that they're like this , instead of acting out in such a way that would hurt both of them . " you're just – you think too much . " they're letting out , breathing some , now placing their attention to the other , humming softly .

this time, you can trust me. ft. @iobartach + harry osborn.
how does harry know that for sure , that they can trust him ? it doesn't feel like they can , that's for sure . nonetheless , they're trying their best to not say something too shoddy -- because they'd rather keep this up , whatever this is . protection ? the sense to be . . around the other ? that's not what it really was , was it ? anyways , harry's taking a breath , contemplating on their careful wording . " can i ? " words come out , cautiously , chewing down on their lower lip , eyes studying the other . harry's wondering if it'll take them this much sanity to lose , however , they're just . . stifled by the way he's acting with them .

3. whose writing has impacted your writing style the most? (you can choose anyone! famous writer or not.)
QUESTIONS FOR MUNS.
So I try to adapt to everyone I write with at least a little, figure out what works for everybody. Now that said I definitely love what you do with your descriptions and character exploration of Miguel. Similar sentiment for @viopolis, @outofthiisworld, @5mind @lambfated @beatgod @sweet-smarts and others.
In terms of broad inspiration from fiction? Lots of places, mediums, writers & storytellers. Formative ones for me were Douglas Adams, Edgar Rice Burroughs, and Jack Kirby. They still left their impact and I've since taken in lots more.

[Moonlight Aesthetic Meme from @iobartach.]
(💥) Our muses get a power outage.
------------
Well ... shit. At first glance it might seem that Thera was carrying a candle as she padded to the kitchen - but a closer look would instead show her hand turned upwards, a little ball of fire manifested above the palm. The globe floats free a moment as she opens the small cupboard by the door, then winks out as she finds her emergency flashlight and a few spares.
A glance out the window has told her that the blackout is affecting at least the immediate part of the street, and she can hear car horns being overused already. Her concern, though, is her own building, and she plans to take the stairwell and check on the other residents, just in case.
With the spare flashlights in a bag slung over her shoulder she heads for the apartment's front door, murmuring under her breath, "Miguel, honey, I sure hope this wasn't you ..."

@iobartach asked: "I may seem like an angry person on the surface, but deep inside I'm actually angrier." (I'm so sorry for him)
"---That's, uh, equally as relatable as it is concerning, to be honest."
"Please don't tell me that I'm the reason for said anger. Or, if I am, give me the chance to try and solve the problem at hand before, uh, you know, trying to kill me. ---Has happened before. It's exhausting. I'm getting old."

@iobartach || for shenanigan!
Another day, another book signing they really wished their publisher would actually warn them about in advance over. At the very least a few days so they could make the necessary preparations to least take something so passing out from the anxiety gnaw wasn’t a possibility.
No go, like usual. Except this time seemed to come with even more troublesome extras.
“I--can’t really say where they came from, sorry.” A bit distant in tone while they bandaged up a scrape on their hand. Disassociate from incident and muscle memory like usual, it at least allowed some sort of freedom of choice when push came to shove and violence was going to have to come into play. Shame the attackers didn’t have the same kind of luck... “Don’t expect everyone to be a fan of my book. I’m not against the criticism.”
There’s a pause mid tying far more gauze than should be necessary for them to look up. “That wasn’t a very good joke, was it?”

@iobartach liked this for a starter ╱ not accepting.
"Your face is blank and barren, like another language, impenetrable," he remarked, his voice carrying a soothing reassurance. Despite everything, Steve wasn't looking for any trouble. Only answers on how to get back to his own universe. As someone who had navigated through different eras and encountered countless individuals, Steve understood the barriers that often shielded them. "I do not know how to get a read on you."

I Wan'na Be like You (The Monkey Song) - from the movie The Jungle Book || @iobartach
“Y’ know, outta all o’ you spider folk I would’ve thought you’d be the tall one.”
There’s probably even a clever joke or three to be made concerning size and web distribution, but John’s not sure he’s got half the mind to find it right now. He was more concerned with watching the mess, or rather the cleaning of it.
Or the attempted cleaning, anyways, the splinters of the in between fractures of space were never something that was clear to him but John’s at least sure that has to be what’s making the guy look a bit fuzzy around the edges. “’fore y’ ask or get your bits in a bunch, I’m just an interested party. Nothing more. Think of me like… a vulture. A curious vulture.”
He motioned with a hand, a thin grin splitting. “One that’s very interested in knowing how you’ve done all o’ this.”

@iobartach asked : “Don’t look for me.”
per listening to his words , astrid manages to choke on their own – stuttering on something that shouldn't be a thing , however , astrid's silently contemplating on things . " you don't . . you don't mean that , right ? " they're not supposed to get attached to him , nonetheless , they are . astrid shouldn't be , not one bit . but , there's something about miguel that makes them feel safe , secure . better than they've ever felt before & they normally don't look for love , not like this . was it love ? or was it some type of loneliness that they were trying to cover up by being near him ? " i don't want you to go , miguel . " you can't , is what they want to say , but hold off on it , hold off on any type of begging in front of him because they don't want him to see how weak they've become for him .

“ don’t worry. i’ll stay. i’m not going anywhere. ” ft. @iobartach + astrid bishop.
for some reason , that sounds comforting than most -- but , astrid's the type of person to not entirely believe someone unless it's proven , however . glancing at the other in the spider suit , they're nodding their head , almost hesitant . lips agape at his words , keeping cool . calm , in fact : astrid's attempting their best to really , really smile & convince themselves that he's staying , because he is , right ? right . that's what he said . " . . promise ? " they're whispering , a final glance at him before swallowing the dry lump in their throat , humming softly . " i , sorry . if that sounded weird . " or needy , or something that was out of their own thought process -- however , it just felt good to hear that he was staying , for once . at least , they've made room for him somewhere .

the stench of garbage bags, sewer water and rotting bodies overpowered their senses. after a ten minute long fighting escapade between the slayer and spider-man 2099, it concluded in the waste tunnels beneath new york city. the slayer's de-transformation was obscured by the familiar crimson mist.
“ you know what’s worse than finding half a worm in your apple ?? falling in a sewer . ” @iobartach quipped, ignoring sylmae's dismay.
she was soaked head to toe in sewer water and she was visibly unhappy. sylamae's hands slapped the green murky water in frustration, intentionally splashing her opponent.
"shut up! now we both smell like shit! why couldn't you just mind your business and let me do what i needed to do?!" sylmae scolded harshly.
with her height, the water came up to her upper waist. miguel was lucky enough to have the disgusting muck not even touch his hip bone. her hands reached towards a ladder and climbed it to a semi-dry area. her hoodie and jeans were soaked and stuck against her wet skin. from the bowels of the sewer, came a low rumbling sound from an unknown creature.
"get out of the water, you annoying fucking spider. i'd be damned if something else gets to you before i do."

"Wow." It was an understatement. Peter swore the place was larger than anything he had seen before with more Spider-Man walking around than seemed humanly possible. There had always been the feeling he was alone, the only Spider-Man out there, but apparently he had been seriously wrong.
"Is this even real?! How is this all real?!" Still, he stood absolutely dumbstruck with his jaw practically on the ground staring at all of the Spider-Mans casually milling about. He felt almost naked without his suit but it was in tatters after his last fight, the one that landed him in Earth 616.

snakes. why'd it have to be snakes?
PROMPTS FOR DARK TUNNELS, NARROW PASSAGEWAYS, HIDDEN DOORS, THICK JUNGLES, AND LOCKED TOMBS
Alone and disoriented, Vegeta swiftly grasped the severity of his predicament: with each step deeper into the maze, the trials grew increasingly formidable. Survival now rested upon the necessity of forming an alliance with anyone else ensnared within these labyrinthine corridors and shifting walls. The added burden of sensing the relentless drain on his ki reserves, which weakened his powers and left him vulnerable, only exasperated his predicament.
Navigating the maze's deceptive illusions and treacherous pathways, Vegeta suddenly found himself in a chamber infested with the serpents. Their hisses filling the air with an ominous almost deafening sound. His guard heightened, tensing as he prepared to face the threat alone. Yet, as his gaze swept the room to find some sort of exit, a sudden voice caught his attention. His gaze shifted to the figure on the opposite end of the chamber. It seemed he wasn't the only one who was equally trapped amidst the slithering creatures.
Caught off guard by the unexpected presence of another, Vegeta's unease grew. Despite his initial reluctance to trust the other man, the prince knew they shared a common goal: to escape the snake-infested chamber alive.
"Any ideas on how to get the hell out of here?" his gaze piercing as he assessed the stranger before him. In the face of uncertainty, Vegeta grasped onto the possibility that maybe having each other at different ends of the room would bring a different perspective to get out of this mess.
