#Meghan's reading list #books #gods of j&s wasn't my cup of tea. i struggled #to finish it. forced myself to plow through it. it's most def a YA novel but limp & #lifeless (but perhaps i'm too old for it? idk. it just wasn't to my liking). 10K Doors #on the other hand WAS SO FREAKING GOOD DUDE I LOVE IT SO MUCH. it #is v much up my alley. if Netflix is looking for a book to adapt next...u can't go #wrong w 10K Doors. TRUST ME. TGLAPPPS was... meh. not into the entire #book written in correspondence. the ending was also abrupt so it fell short. movie #on netflix was better imo. The Mermaid was GREAT. i enjoy how christina henry #writes & her world-building so i knew it would be the perfect palette cleanser. #Turn of the Key was great until the disappointing ending. i'm all for open-ended #endings but... it isn't really a book that lends itself to a interpretative ending so #that really annoyed me and soured my enjoyment (it was creepy tho!). DEH was #obv not as good as the play but having watched it & listened to its amazing #soundtrack it really added to the experience. pt 2 upped my rating from a 3 to a 4 #but then the final ch/epilogue upped it to a 5 rating. #now i'm reading a book that #has been on my shelf for a really long time. taking one for the team. let's go~

Who was your favorite actress to play Morticia Addams? I was never into The Addams Family. I feel like it’d be right up my alley, but I just never got around to checking it out.

If they were to make yet another Addams Family, who would you like to see in the leads?

What is the next film you want to rewatch? Two for the Road. I haven’t seen the whole thing in a while, and I always make it a nice little ritual for myself to watch the movie a few times every year. Audrey Hepburn and Albert Finney were pheeeeeeenomenal in it.

What is the next film you want to see for the first time? THE LION KING. Never seen the Disney animated version, so I’m stoked that the first time I’ll be watching it will have Beyoncé in it.

Do you ever laugh during serious moments in movies? If it’s meant to be serious but turned out cringey, then I’d laugh.

Has a movie ever made you cry? Which one(s)? It’s...not easy to make me cry over a movie, because I know it’s fictional. Toy Story 4 did make me cry though because I grew up watching the entire series, and I was glad they came up with a brilliant closure for it, especially for Woody.

Do you keep a list of movies you want to watch so you don’t forget? I have a ‘My List’ on Netflix which is the closest answer to this question.

What is one movie line that was just too cheesy? I know you said one, but A Walk To Remember and The goddamn Notebook were so annoyingly cheesy that I stopped both films halfway through. I tried watching The Notebook last weekend but I literally had to stop in that scene where Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams lied down in the middle of an intersection.

A movie you love even though it’s cheesy? 50 First Dates.

Share any song lyrics you misheard? Ugh man, I mishear lyrics all the time but I can’t seem to think of any at the moment.

What was the last song you heard for the first time and enjoyed? It’s been a while since I heard something new...maybe something by Ava Max because it’s since turned out that I love every dang single she puts out.

What do you prefer – the original fairy tales, or the Disney versions? I’ll always be biased to Disney. Their movies feel just a little bit more magical compared to others.

Would you like more film adaptations of traditional fairy tales? No, not really anymore...it was awesome and different when it was new. Nowadays it seems as though only remakes are being put out. The Lion King, Mulan, The Little Mermaid are all getting new adaptations this year and as much as I love the whole Disneyness of it, the concept has gotten super old for me.

If you got to go to the Rocky Horror Show, would you dress up? As who? I’ve never seen a show. I’ve been wanting to get into it for a while but just never got around to it. Who is your favorite actor to have played Robin Hood? I have never seen any version of it.

Are there any comic books you’d like to see made into a movie? NOT ANYMORE PLEASE

Have you read any of the Kingsman comics? No.

Did you read the Archie Comics growing up? I did read a few of them, especially in grade school. I forgot who, but I used to have a friend who had tons of Archie comics and she would lend her copies to me. I still have a few with me that I never got to return, which I know is super sucky of me.

If your life was a TV show, what would be the theme song? Idk, maybe something out of the Daria universe.

Did you see Rocketman? Thoughts? I did not. I do not have plans to see it.

Who are some of your favorite female fictional characters, and why? Holly Golightly from Breakfast at Tiffany’s. I really love her spirit, her heart, and her willingness to try out anything so long as it brought her joy. And at the end of the day, all she really was is a lost soul, and that resonated hard with me the first time I watched it.

Something you didn’t like that happened in one of your fav shows/books? Well for one, I hate that Gabby Gabby got a happy ending in Toy Story 4. The bitch deserved nothing, I’m sorry.

A character (in anything) you wish hadn’t been killed off? I can’t think of any unfair character deaths right now, but I do know an unfair elimination from a TV show lmaaaao. I was recently watching the first season of RuPaul’s Drag Race but Ongina’s elimination pissed me off so much that I haven’t continued the rest of the season.

What was the last video you saw that made you smile? There’ve already been a bunch of Lion King memes that are videos of lionesses and people making references to Beyonce, and I have yet to see an unfunny meme.

What’s on your favorite T-shirt?I I’ll always have a soft spot for my CM Punk Best in the World t-shirt. It’s 8 years old, I have worn it e v e r y w h e r e, and it already looks super old and has sported some permanent stains over the last few years, but it brings me back to a lot of happy memories. I don’t think I’ll ever throw it out. Do you have any unusual eating habits? I’d eat almost anything with mayonnaise.

Have you ever had to hit up several stores in search of one item? What was it? Yes. Last year I just really really wanted a pair of Nike Cortezes, but my mom and I ended up going to numerous shoe stores because none of them had the shoes.

Hoodies or denim jackets? Ooooh, good question. I love both, but denim jackets are more fashionable for me.

Are you comfortable wearing shoes without socks? Yes. I’m doing that right now.

What’s something exciting that’s happened recently? I took my internship.

What about something upsetting? Uhhh I dunno. I haven’t felt super upset recently.

Do you have any calluses on your feet? Nope.

What was your last big purchase? Nothing other than dinner at Yabu haha.

Have you ever eaten grits? I haven’t. I didn’t learn what that was till I was like 18, because we don’t eat that here.

Any projects you plan on finishing up soon? Nope, I’ve already finished the project that we were required to submit for our internship. Now I have the rest of the month to just chilllll and keep taking naps.

Do you have any cool sunglasses? What do they look like? I don’t think the ones I own are ‘cool.’ They’re just trendy shades for the beach. Do you always dress right after a shower, or do you like to chill in your towel/robe for a while? I dress right after.
