"Hey, I just got off the phone with Alan. Apparently Ishaan is at his best behaviour and he is not missing his parents at all," Ethan smiled to himself walking into their hotel room.

"That's so great! But maybe Ishaan doesn't miss his mother but trust me I miss him a lot!"

Ethan watched as his wife walked out of the bathroom in a lavender summer dress.

"I know you do love," he stands up and pulls her close, "but trust me this was a much needed break," he pressed his lips against her as they fit like perfect puzzle pieces. "Now go get ready, we are going to the beach!"

Meera smiles nervously, "I am ready, babe. I was just waiting for you."

Ethan takes a minute before he begins to speak. "We are going to the beach rookie. You sure you don't want to change into a swimsuit or something?"

He watched as Meera's smiled vanished from her face and was instead replaced by a frown, she looked close to tears.

"No," she sat down holding her head in her hand. "Have you seen me lately? Have you looked at how my body has changed in the past six months! This postpartum belly, scar marks all over! How am I supposed to put on a bikini?!"

"Hey listen," Ethan stroked his thumb on her cheek, "it's okay, you are still the most beautiful woman in the world."

"I can't even see myself in the mirror," Meera said, tears now falling freely. "I just feel like you don't deserve me, you deserve someone way hotter."

"Okay now that's enough," Ethan cut her off, "you don't get to say that love. I love you, I love your body just the way it is, the body which nursed our baby and birthed it, there is nothing more beautiful in this entire world than this."

Ethan smiled his blue eyes looking ardently into his wife's browns.

"You promise?" Meera sniffled.

Ethan nodded, wiping away the tears and putting an endearing kiss on her forehead." We'll stay inside all you want and I'll show you just how much I mean it. Let me see your scars."

Ethan placed a kiss on her collar bone then the curve of her breasts, all while working on the zipper. He proceeded downwards kissing the stretch marks and resolving all self doubts from Meera's mind, and before long all she was aware of was her husband making love to her. "

Next morning Meera woke up to the sunlight pouring in through the window. She turned away from it expecting to cuddle up against her husband but instead she was met with a cold bed. She rubbed sleep away from her eyes searching for her husband when the delicious smell of bacon and eggs reached her.

"Good morning love," Ethan kissed her placing a table full of breakfast spread on her lap, "I called in some breakfast."

Meera didn't wait, to dig in. The previous night's activities had made her grow a huge appetite.

"Also, I have a small surprise for you," Ethan said sipping his coffee.

This made Meera stop. "What surprise?" she said with a mouthful of food.

Ethan looked at the time on his phone, "you'll have to wait a little longer to know that," he winked.

After a hearty breakfast Ethan took Meera to the other side of the hotel.

"Okay, just tell me now!" Meera demanded.

"Patience Rookie, patience."

Meera followed Ethan through a maze of corridors until he stopped at one and asked, "you ready?"

"Trust me, I am," Meera said, practically bursting with curiosity.

Ethan threw open the door and welcomed Meera into a luxurious suite with their own private beach just steps away.

"This is our room for the day," Ethan announced.

Meera just looked around with awe her eyes finally landing on her husband. "You didn't have to, babe."

"Ofcourse I did," he pulled her closer. "I know I can't take away how you feel about your body, but I can't have you pretending with me. I know how much you love the beach and I know standing so close to it and yet not being able to get into it is killing you. I know this is our last day but trust me I tried booking this the first time itself, because I did look at how you couldn't look yourself in the mirror, how you avoided every public gathering we had to attend in the past six months and blamed Ishaan for it. But not anymore, you are beautiful and you have every right to feel so. So this morning when I inquired at the reception and learned that one of these was available I couldn't resist. Because you deserve this. "

Meera looked into his ocean blue eyes, tears filling the corner of her own. All she could think was how did she get so lucky and all she could do was get on her tiptoes and pull him into a kiss.

She used her body weight to pull Ethan into the water without breaking the kiss.

Both of them surfaced from the water wearing matching smiles.

"You could at least let me get rid of my shirt," Ethan said.

"Hey my beach, my rules," Meera replied.

"Is it?" Ethan grabbed hold of his wife, kissing her ferociously and taking her underwater.
