Wow I’m so excited for the Barbie movie to come out and catch a huge wave of popularity for being incredibly subversive and wildly self aware like Barbie: Life in the Dreamhouse didn’t do the exact same thing 10 years earlier

#I’m going to probably genuinely enjoy the Barbie movie tbh #but like #something something soapbox animation being wildly overlooked and underappreciated #and undersold #thing not taken seriously until it’s real flesh people doing it with half the effort #not that this is half the effort #it’s not a remake or I’d probly be a lot more livid #but I just #have so many thoughts about the plight of animated films esp when movies like this start to gain popularity #Barbie #the barbie movie #Barbie movie #barbie life in the dreamhouse #live action #barbie live action
