Leo/need Main Story Summary

TL;DR: Though they all were once close, after Tenma Saki's prolonged hospitalization, Hoshino Ichika, Mochizuki Honami, and Hinomori Shiho had drifted away. Despite Saki's attempts, she can't find a way to get them all back together.

One fateful day, the four stumble upon "Untitled" and the mysterious world of SEKAI. Saki asks if they can reform their childhood band, but Shiho and Honami refuse. In the meantime, Saki and Ichika form their own band with the hopes of inspiring the other two to join.

Shiho says she will consider it if they can play a song of her choosing perfectly within a week, but Saki ends up collapsing from overworking when showing their progress. Shiho recognizes both the hard work they've put in and her own love for her friends and joins the band. She also explains that she abandoned them only to protect her standoffish reputation from rubbing off on them.

Honami, however, still refuses. Saki realizes it's probably for the best to leave Honami be now that she's no longer getting bullied by her classmates. Shiho disagrees and confronts Honami. Ichika realizes her true feelings about wanting to be together with everyone and talks to Honami herself, bringing her to the SEKAI to watch the stars. Honami realizes her love for her true friends is stronger than the fear of her bullies and officially joins the band.

Chapter 0: Ichika reflects on the band she, Saki, Honami, and Shiho had formed for fun as children. She recalls having been incredibly grateful to the others for joining her, and how they all wished to be together for a long time to come. They go watch the shooting stars from a jungle gym. In the present day, Ichika sees Honami out the classroom window, but the latter reluctantly ignores her. The same happens with Shiho after crossing paths in Scramble Crossing. Back home, Ichika notices her phone flash and is transported to the SEKAI, where Miku and Luka introduce themselves. The duo want to help them find their true feelings again, but Ichika doubts it could ever come true. She's then forced out of the SEKAI. All four childhood friends separately watch the stars.

Chapter 1: Ichika encounters Honami in the courtyard, but Honami leaves as another classmate calls her. She again has another awkward encounter with Shiho. Ichika worries the other two might not consider her to be friends anymore. Her fears are interrupted by Saki's arrival as a new student in her class. Saki is as cheery as ever, but ignorant to the dissolution of the former friend group.

Chapter 2: Ichika is hesitant to tell Saki the truth. All four cross paths in the school hallway, but Honami and Shiho both leave quickly. Saki chalks it up to them being busy. Later, Honami talks to some current classmates about Saki's arrival as Shiho walks by. They discuss Shiho's cold personality, but Honami is too scared to admit they used to be good friends.

Chapter 3: Saki takes Ichika around town with her, excited to catch up on all the life she missed while in the hospital. They end up talking about how fun their childhood band was. Saki realizes it's lonely just being her and Ichika. After parting ways, Ichika wants to find a way to have the four of them together like it used to be, but the thought seems impossible. Miku pops out of the SEKAI and asks for her to visit with friends. Ichika is still confused, but agrees that it would be fun to have a band again. The next day, Saki tries asking Shiho to hang out, but she refuses. Honami gets pulled away by other classmates before Saki can ask her. Saki tries to confront Ichika about their weird behavior, but backs away when she fears there might actually be a problem. She asks about Miku instead and finds a strange song called "Untitled" among the playlist, accidentally transporting them into SEKAI.

Chapter 4: The duo search for the mysterious sound of Miku's guitar. They end up running into both Honami and Shiho doing the same. The four find Miku in an empty classroom, along with all their old instruments. Saki begs to play together again, to which they hesitantly agree.

Chapter 5: Ichika and Saki are starting to have fun playing when Shiho suddenly stops them mid-song. She is frustrated with the current skill level of the other three. Miku asks to join in this time, impressing the others with her skill. Secretly, Ichika hopes Shiho and Honami remembering this song means they also might wish to bring the band back. Saki has the courage to say that out loud. Shiho flat-out refuses, and Honami hesitantly denies, both departing the SEKAI. Miku urges Saki and Ichika to not give up on their feelings.

Chapter 6: Ichika reflects on her SEKAI encounter. She truly hopes that reforming the band might bring things back to how they used to be. The next day, Honami and Shiho cross paths in the hallway. Neither know what to think about the SEKAI. Shiho asks if Honami really does harbor such strong feelings about them all, but she's pulled away by her classmates before she can answer, upsetting Shiho. Her classmates still believe Shiho to be rude and sketchy. Honami tries defending her, but denies ever being friends out of fear of upsetting them. This only makes Shiho angrier. Meanwhile, Saki and Ichika have their own discussion about SEKAI. Saki is excited they all have Untitled on their phones, even though she was shot down. Ichika proposes starting a band, just the two of them. Saki accepts, hopeful Honami and Shiho will follow behind.

Chapter 7: Ichika and Saki head back to SEKAI to thank Miku and tell her the news. Luka pops in to introduce herself as well, and offers to mentor the both of them. The Virtual Singers reassure the two that their wish to be reunited is worthwhile, strengthening their resolve.

Chapter 8: Saki and Ichika walk around, grateful for the Virtual Singer's help. Ichika is grateful for Saki's presence, but again doubts her decision to not tell her why Shiho and Honami are so distant. In a flashback to middle school, it is revealed that one day, Shiho decided to completely isolate herself, declining to give any other reasoning than to practice bass. Back in the present, Ichika accidentally runs into Honami buying apple pies. She tells her that she and Saki had started a band and invites her again, but is turned down. Later that night, Honani questions why she turned down the offer yet again. Ichika thinks about how lonely Honami looked in middle school, despite her insistence everything was fine. The current Ichika berates herself for not helping sooner.

Chapter 9: Saki brings Ichika to a music store after school to help her choose a keyboard. They run into Shiho there. Saki begs Shiho to join their band so they can hang out again. Shiho reveals that she had been invited to join a band in middle school, but after arguing over not taking things seriously, she had been kicked out. Shiho gives Ichika and Saki a song to practice, with the promise to join their band if and only if they can manage to play it perfectly by the next week. Later that night, Shiho begins questioning if keeping her distance truly was the right move.

Chapter 10: Ichika and Saki run to tell Miku and Luka the good news, and to ask for help perfecting the song. While practicing, Saki plays Ichika an original melody. She then talks about Ichika's old love of writing song lyrics, and how she hopes to write with Ichika one day. Miku brings the pair to the rooftop to look at the stars. Ichika and Saki chat about their fond memories of watching the Leonids as kids. They're determined to watch the stars as a unit once again. A few days later, Ichika and Saki are ready to show Shiho the song. Honami sees the three of them talking from afar. She thinks her not joining them is for the best, but begins to wonder why it makes her feel so lonely.

Chapter 11: Shiho is impressed with how much Saki and Ichika had practiced. Suddenly, Saki collapses. Shiho regrets asking her to practice so hard, but Saki reassures her it wasn't her fault. Shiho tells Saki how she had kept refusing making new friends in middle school and turned into an outcast. Shiho had distanced herself from Ichika and Honami to protect their reputations from getting tainted, too. Shiho joins the band.

Chapter 12: The next week, Ichika finds Honami standing outside of her classroom to ask about Saki's recent absence. Ichika is glad Honami talked to her normally again. She then reveals Shiho had joined the band and asked her again if she'd like to join, too. Ichika expresses her guilt over not helping Honami when things got rough, to which Honami immediately shuts down. Honami explains how her middle school classmates had often taken advantage of her kindness to vent, which made others mad about her being a people-pleaser. The girls began bullying her behind her back, which began to spread to Ichika. Honami decided to cut ties to protect her. The current Honami is scared that accepting Ichika's friendship again would make the bullying resume. She runs away.

Chapter 13: Ichika, Saki, and Shiho talk about telling Miku and Luka about the new addition. Saki asks if Honami would want to come, too, but the other two doubt it. They proceed to tell her about what they know of Honami's middle school bullying. Shiho is upset with Honami over how submissive she's being, because she knows the true Honami knows how to stand her ground. She doesn't understand why Honami is giving up like this. Saki realizes it's probably best to give up on getting her to join the band to avoid causing her any trouble with her classmates.

Chapter 14: Luka notices Ichika's worries over the Honami situation. Luka tells Ichika that "there is no right or wrong in music",- there's no one right decision here, and that they should follow their hearts. Saki decides to tell Honami that they'll leave her be and apologizes for the trouble. She returns to Ichika and Shiho, but begins crying. She's sad about leaving her friend, but knows it's the right decision. Later, Ichika and Shiho discuss the matter, to which Shiho reveals how wrong it feels.

Chapter 15: Shiho confronts Honami in the hallway. She questions if this is what Honami really wants, and if she really cares about Saki's feelings at all. She calls Honami out for only caring about herself. Honami knows she hurt Saki, but she's terrified of being bullied again. Later that evening, Shiho runs into Ichika and regrets the harsh things she had said to their friend. Ichika praises Shiho for her determination. Shiho returns the compliment over Ichika's rationality.

Chapter 16: Ichika, Saki, and Shiho walk around after a productive SEKAI session. After Shiho departs, Ichika and Saki talk about how nice it is to have her back. Back home, Ichika reflects on how much she's changed since she was younger, and how powerless she feels when it comes to helping Honami. Suddenly, she finds an old notebook of song lyrics and gets an idea.

Chapter 17: Ichika goes to SEKAI for help. Miku realizes Ichika has found her true feelings: she loves her friends more than anything and wants to play with them again. Ichika realizes the star chart on the chalkboard must represent Honami's true feelings, too. The next day, Ichika asks to meet Honami after class.

Chapter 18: Ichika brings Honami over to the SEKAI's rooftop to show her the stars. They talk about their fond memories of the past, and how the stars always looked brighter because it was the four of them together. Ichika asks if Honami wants to be friends again. Honami is still scared of her bullies, but realizes just how much her true friends matter to her and berates herself for being so selfish. She really does want to be back with them. Saki and Shiho run over with Miku and Luka to congratulate her.

Chapter 19: Honami apologizes for distancing herself because of her lack of courage. She thanks Shiho for what she had said and officially joins the band. Untitled flashes and forms into a song: needLe.

Chapter 20: The next day, Honami tells her classmates about the events of the past few days. They're genuinely happy for her and the new band. It was a lot easier than she had feared. (Saki, Ichika, and Shiho watched from the window.) Later, the four of them discuss their band name. They all come up with the name "Leo/need", after the Leonid constellation, the slash of a shooting star, and how each member is needed in the group. In SEKAI, Miku and Luka watch a shooting star pass overhead.

Virtual Singer Chapter 1 (Pre-Chapter 0): Miku practices guitar on her own, hopeful the others will meet them soon. She wonders if she should start acting more like a senpai would, but isn't sure what exactly that entails. She decides that it means doing what Luka would. Miku tries it out, with little success. Luka comes in and questions what Miku is doing, reassuring her that she's always here to support in whatever way she can. Miku asks Luka what "senpai" means to her. Luka believes it's all dependent on the people around her.

Virtual Singer Chapter 2 (After Chapter 5): Miku waves Ichika and Saki goodbye after the first practice session. She trusts their resolve to bring them back together. Luka enters, having let Miku take the lead to introduce herself as a proper "senpai". She's proud of the hard work Miku had (secretly) been putting in for this day. They reflect on how each member's sound was hiding a piece of their personality within: Ichika's determination, Saki's joy, Shiho's distance, and Honami's fear. They banter a bit about the senpai role before practicing once again.

Virtual Singer Chapter 3 (After Chapter 14): Luka talks to Ichika about the latter's concern over Honami, and Miku Saki's. Miku reassures Saki that she's proud of her for considering Honami's feelings when deciding to leave her be. In the meantime, Luka and Ichika had finished their conversation and came over. Luka talks about how Miku has been working hard to become a proper senpai to the others, much to her embarrassment. They're certain Honami will realize her true feelings eventually.

Virtual Singer Chapter 4 (After Chapter 20): Miku and Luka discuss their feelings over the new Untitled song and the band's formation. Leo/need pop in and ask if they'd like to join a session, to which they happily agree. Saki talks about how they want to start writing their own songs and hands them Ichika's lyrics. Despite Ichika's embarrassment, they find them to be cute and sincere. Luka comments on Miku's excitement to be with the girls as their senpai.

Hey, saw your Prsk Unit Shuffle AU and am very interested in seeing more.

In particular, I'm interested in hearing more about how the groups formed. It's always neat to see how these characters first meet and interact under different circumstances. And, as a little bonus, maybe what their "Untitled"/theme song is, because I feel like that's a very key part of a unit's identity that tends to be overlooked.

(Not sure if you're still interested in asks about this AU. If not, sorry for bugging you about it)

GASP HELLO I LOVE TALKING ABOUT MY UNIT SHUFFLE AU im so sorry this too forever to get u back on!! schoolwork is a pain and then i went SHOPPING (which takes forever :sob:)

okok so i haven't really thought about all the details of how they get together? so bear with me this is a rough draft lol

SSS: the idea at the core of this group is that its a family with different strengths coming together to make music. so tsukasa is the scriptwriter, saki is the lyricist, toya is the choreographer, and kanade is the composer! the group is headed by tsukasa, who's actually been putting on these shows for all of them since he was a kid. as he got older, he started taking stardom more seriously (leading into canon), but an incident in middle school ended up with the tenmas legally adopting toya, so that definitely shook things up for tsukasa (in a good way!). so i think that (+ l/n not reforming, which does happen in the SSS main story) allowed tsukasa and saki to consider banding their strengths together, since tsukasa loved putting on shows and saki loved seeing them, but she would also help put them on for toya (and later kanade, when she joins them not long after toya does). the two of them very quickly realize that they need more hands, and although recruiting kanade as composer is easy (bc 25ji never forms- dont ask why im still figuring that out lol) toya is a lot harder bc he's still active under BAD DOGS with akito. however, with akito picking up AWR around the same time (+ hatsune freaking miku appearing to toya), toya does join under their choreographer as for their untitled, their song is Wonderland and the Sheep's Song by Hachi, but I worked out their line distributions to this lovely KYO cover! you can see my color-coded lyrics for them here if you're interested :)

R/l: im gonna be 100% honest with you SSS and AWR are the only ones with any semblance of a plot rn LOL but here's the base idea around R/l: mizuki and rui both congregate on the kami school rooftop bc, yknow, loners (mizuki is never reached out to by kanamafu, so not 25ji on their part. tsukasa doesnt end up applying for phoenix so wxs doesn't have a chance of forming). at some point, i imagine they got talking about music, but never did anything concrete. but not long into the main story (probably the very start) an also joins them, her dream of surpassing rad weekend getting weaker as she struggles to find a partner (koha will be explained later) so she goes to hang with her friend on the rooftop. at some point, mizu and an both accidentally enter sekai, where they meet miku and len. those two tell them that there's still two others they need to find because they also made the sekai. mizu and an get.... maybe a little too excited over this. an takes this chance to invite her friend haruka over to kami (so she transfers) and join the group, but in their search for their fourth member they end up accidentally alienating rui (ironic). they fix that tho-- although HOW i dont know lol their untitled was one i went back and forth on (tbh only SSS and AWR i didnt lol), but i eventually decided on Untitled Hymn by shaito! their color-coded lyrics are here (i just realized you can barely tell where an is in lines but ehhh)

ATD: okay so. ATD is the group thats given the most gosh-darn trouble. ive revised their cast motivations like, TWICE now. but basically it goes like this: shizuku and mafuyu are both members of the archery club, with mafuyu trusting shizuku so much that her public mask slips a couple of times (against her will). shizuku's not dumb, but she doesn't say anything bc i think she understands that mafu has her secrets. after shizuku quits being an idol (on more of her own terms), she still wants to find a way to share the light she had before that seemed to reach mafu a few times. enter: accidental sekai trip! this trip both gives shizu the idea for an online group (which could sorta count as MMJ but i think the big distinction is they do more streamer/vtuber stuff and less purely idol stuff?? im still working on that) and lets her see mafu with her mask fully off. eventually, shizu drags nene into the business (nene never attends kami here, workin on that) bc shizu and mafu have no idea how streaming works and nene does, but nene likes hiding behind the camera but is still a part of the group bc who can say no to shizu? and hona joins at shizu's request bc they're both beautification members (and apparently hona+mafu are both honors students so i wonder if they have some overlap?? can you tell ive never attended public school lol) their untitled gave me SO MUCH TROUBLE. because ATD is supposed to be a weird mix of 25ji and mmj? but all of their songs get swiped by either R/l, AWR, or even SSS, so it was hard to find something that i thought could be specifically them. eventually, i finally decided on Common World Domination by PinocchioP! Their color-coded lyrics can be found here :)

MxC: oh boy this one's a doozy. so the idea here is like... there are underground music rings? which sounds wild but like if music is vaguely the lifeblood of this world i DONT CARE it can happen! i don't wanna make it life-threatening tho so its more like... you get blacklisted from everything. which for shiho--who got sucked into this world in an attempt to find bandmates--is VERY BAD. but shiho's given a little bit to find a band before their first performance, but with l/n definitely gone their separate ways (and she never wanted to involve them in the first place) she's kinda stuck. enter: airi and ena! both of them had been watching the music battles, unsatisfied with their current lives (airi having just quit idol/tv work, ena just frustrated over her art), but airi knows shiho thru miya, and when she heard about shiho's impending doom, she resolved herself to very quickly learn guitar and join her group, roping ena (who has a little bit of drum experience from akito and mom) into it as well. meanwhile, while all of this is going on, kohane (being the sweet soul she is) has been trailing shiho out of concern, but then is entirely horrified at the underground battles bc shes still pre-canon meek. but she really wants to help shiho, so she agrees to try and learn keyboard. after clearing the first battle, shiho and her group are safe--for now. they'll have to clear a lot more battles if they want to escape the underground their untitled is Hello Builder by UtsuP since i wanted them to have harsher rock songs than l/n (bordering on metal-ish)! color-coded lyrics here :)

AWR: funny story--all of the above units were made in the order listed! so i got to AWR and... i have ichika, minori, emu, and akito. and im like "NONE OF THESE PEOPLE HAVE ANYTHING IN COMMON". and then i went. "WAIT. THATS IT!" so here's how AWR goes: ichika still tries to reform l/n, but fails; minori is still trying to become an idol; and emu is still trying to revive the wonder stage. all three of them, all attending miya ofc, end up bonding over this and they start thinking. is there a way to satisfy all three of their dreams (band, idol, and show) at once? and at FIRST the answer is "no lol" so they go exploring. and somehow someway (workin on that) word finds out about this and some guy on vivid street dares akito to try and fix em into shape in a week. akito--being akito--accepts quite hotheadedly, then quickly realizes that maybe this wasnt a good idea?? because EVERYONE has a different music taste and its almost impossible to keep up with them all!!! but eventually they do figure it all out, and by the end none of them wanted to split apart or anything. AWR is i think the group that has the least amount of direction which might be on purpose. i think (again im rambling rn so) part of their story is figuring out what their direction is going to be! their untitled is Lip Sync by DECO*27, written as a part of holo*27 (hi no im not rlly into vtubers i just like their music) but i count it bc its written by a voca producer and this would not be the first time a non-vocaloid sung a unit song (cough cough mafumafu and tuyu). you CAN find my color-coded lyrics here.... but i did the translations. which means they're pretty much 98% google translated then bonked around to make sense. i dont know japanese please dont sue me

Sweet as a Smile, Sweet as a Sugar

(Axl meeting the Wonderland x Showtime)

Knighton (Knightonia)

After their first victory of defeating Jestro and being a knights, the Nexo Knights are now on their way to get a rest they've been need. Clay goes to the library, probably wanting to meet Merlok again after he's supposed death. Macy probably go to the castle to tell about everything that happened and how she can also fight as an knight. Aaron might be off somewhere to celebrate his first fighting monster as an knight. And Lance probably go to all the news reporter to tell them about everything happened in the fight against the monster, hopefully he didn't get too full of himself...

Axl is in the kitchen preparing the meal after the fight, well cooking and food does make him calm but this time, he made a cake. The chef was kind enough to lend him the recipe for it.

As Axl done with cake and pull it out of the oven, he heard a notification sound from his phone. He look over at the light up screen of his phone while holding his cake, and what shocked him after seeing that notification stunned him a bit.

Did the "Untitled" just change?! From "Untitled" to "The World Hasn't Even Started Yet"?

Axl quickly press the notification and suddenly the light started to appear and covered him, along with the cake.

Wonderland Sekai

Axl is back at Wonderland Sekai, nothing is changing... Or so it seems...

Axl heard a noise somewhere, he look over at the same tent that the plushies have take him over to. He goes towards the tent and try to see the commotion inside, there he saw it.

KAITO seems to have taken his arrival as KAITO turn around and face Axl, he makes a sign to Axl to be quiet and watch. When Axl notice the sign, he look over at the stage and what caught his eyes are Miku dancing and singing along with 4 other people.

Those people seems to be a teenagers...

"It's showtime!"

And when the final part of the song ends, Miku and kids on stage seems to be exhausted with singing and dancing. Axl have no idea on how to respond on that not does he know if he should show himself or not. But the idea of not showing himself got thrown away as Miku notice him.

"Ah! Axl, you're back!" Just by Miku's yelling, the teenagers then heard what she says and look over at where she's looking.

They were shocked and surprised by seeing him, seems like they didn't know there's another person in this Sekai other than them.

"Um, hi?" Axl said.

"Wha, wha, what?!?!?!?"

"Ugh... Didn't know there would be another person... And he seems to be older than us?"

"If I had to guess he might be somewhere close to our senior?"

"Woah, woah! Hi! WONDERHOI!" A pink hair girl said, with a speed of light, she already in front of Axl, "WONDERHOI! I'm Otori Emu! It's very wonderhoi to meet you ★★!!!"

How did she speak like that?! Axl is too stunned to speak. Didn't even realizing he still holding his cake.

"Is, is that a cake?" The pale green hair said.

Axl finally snap back to reality and answer her question, "Oh yes, I was trying to bake to release myself from stress and also to eat it after I done with it." Axl said, and then look back at the teenagers, "Do you guys, want some?"

"Really?! You're really letting us have some?!" Emu asked.

"Well, yes, the more the merrier?" Axl said awkwardly.

"Well, I don't mind eating a bit of sugar after the performance, after all, a genius such as me deserve a break!" A purple hair boy said, as he chuckle.

"Hmph, then as a star and the leader of Wonderland x Showtime, it is an honor that we all accept the knight's baking cake!" The blonde hair boy said.

"You still never going to let go of that star dream of yours, huh?" The pale green hair girl said, teasing the blonde hair boy.

"No, I will never let go of it, as a soon to be true star, it is in my duty to accept a sincerity of our knight's food!" The blonde hair boy said, as he look at Axl and grin widely.

Axl can't help but this blonde boy reminded him of Lance.

"The names Tenma, as in pegasus! Tsukasa, as in–"

"His name is Tenma Tsukasa–"

"Rui?!"

"His the leader of our troupe called "Wonderland x Showtime"!" 'Rui' said after interrupting Tsukasa's magnificent introduction, "The names Kamishiro Rui, I am the director of Wonderland x Showtime. And this is a friend of mine, Kusanagi Nene, the songstress of our troupe!"

"I can introduce myself, Rui..." Nene said, feeling a bit upset at her purple friend. Rui let out a chuckle.

"Then, I guess I have to introduce myself, my name is Axl. I am a member of Nexo Knights." Axl introduce himself.

"Ah, so you are the lead role of the knight?!" Tsukasa exclaimed.

"No, I am really a knight."

... It was silent for awhile. Everyone look at Axl like his joking or a bit flabbergasted... Maybe he shouldn't have say he is a knight.

"You mean..."

"You're a real...

"KNIGHT?!★" the last sentence caught Axl off guard as Emu and Miku look at him with a light spark in their eyes.

"If you're a knight, is it true you serve the kingdom?!"

"Woah, a real life knight! Did you always bring your sword or spear with you all the time?!"

"How did you become a knight?!"

"Is that why you so big and tall?!"

"Oh, oh, are you–"

"Okay, that is enough you two," KAITO suddenly intervene the two excited girls from asking anymore questions at Axl, he look back at Axl, feeling a bit worried, "I am so sorry if they're question is a bit..."

"No, it's fine." Axl said, reassuring the blue hair man he is alright with the two girls' question.

"I can't believe his a knight..." Nene muttered.

"Seems like you calling him a knight is almost like you did predict it Tsukasa, fu fu fu~" Rui said.

"I, I just take a guess of him being a knight with how he dress like one!" Tsukasa exclaimed, then look back at Axl, "Though, his clothes is a bit too advance to be an knight..."

"You're right on that. I wonder what's really happens on his place~"

"Please, don't, Rui. I don't want you doing something illegal..." Nene said.

"Nene, do you ever know me doing something legal?" Rui said.

"...Whatever you do, don't involved me in..."

As the three kids were talking with each other, Axl seems to be at ease seeing all these people talking with one another. As it goes by, Axl feel a bit happy and feel calm. The kids does seems energetic but it so calm in here...

The cake is better to share with the others. The more the merrier to bring a smile to one another. As sweet as their smile were, sweet as a sugar in the cake is the best thing he ever brought in.

Omori x Project Sekai AU

Deep within a vast wood lays a safe haven that takes the appearance of a clearing. This clearing is painted with the colours of autumn, a picnic blanket is spread along the ground as a place for the weary to rest. There's a large pond, free of any debris-- it almost works more like a mirror than its own ecosystem.

Faceless children play in this clearing, almost all of them tinted in a lilac hue. Among them is a woman in green, she doesn't seem to be as playful as the children yet she is following their whims.

That is until she notices you.

"Oh... Welcome to the Picnic Sekai."

Aka, Sunny creates his own Sekai out of traumatizing himself. Gumi guides him through his hardships with the goal that someday he'll be able to show his true emotions and share an amazing song.

This takes place in a universe where the incident never happened!

Sunny was gifted the violin by his friends and his family signed him up for the recital. While Sunny was good at the violin-- he was still a beginner that made mistakes. The irritation from his sister and the pressure from his parents really left an impact on him.

Instead of snapping and the incident happening, Sunny internalizes the desire to be perfect. He loses himself in trying to get better at music. His friends, family-- the whole world-- wants him to be a perfect musician.

And under that pressure Sunny eventually realizes he lost his true self. A large part of himself he can't get back.

Sunny lost his ability to feel.

Hugs from his friends spark nothing in him, his anxiety is gone, there's just no emotion that can be found in his day to day life. But it's fine-- it's not like anyone wanted that part of him anyways, right? Everyone wanted him to be perfect. Nobody was there to ask if he wanted to play violin, nobody cared about how lonely he felt having to be inside all day. Sunny just had finally become the perfect doll that the world wanted him to be.

The only time Sunny ever seems to feel a spark of emotion is through music. Sunny can only show his true self and desires through the one thing he truly hates. This starts the kickstart of the Picnic Sekai.

The Picnic Sekai's creation happens about two months after the recital. Untitled shows up on Sunny's computer at first, then over the years transfers to his other devices.

The only residents that live in the Sekai other than Sunny consist of Gumi and then faceless versions of the headspace friends. Basil is also purple. He gets no special treatment. :(

Better Off Worse is not the Picnic Sekai's first song. But it probably would be in the list of ones that could possibly appear in the au.

Before we continue on any more details about the au, let's have some notes about Gumi:

Gumi tends to be a calm guardian of the Sekai. She does show a wider range of emotions than Sunny, but they all seem quite muted.

Mom figure. She will follow whatever whims the children of the Sekai with for her. Aubrey wants to braid her hair? Why not! Kel wants hide and seek? Gumi is a great hider! Mari wants a walk? Gumi knows a safe path through the forest!

Gumi tries to guide Sunny through encouragement. She encourages him to make his own music so he can try to express himself more, but she doesn't push the topic. Gumi doesn't like to go against Sunny's will. He doesn't want any of the real world friends in his Sekai because they betrayed him. So she will do whatever she can to make the Sekai a safe place for him.

Sunny enjoys Gumi's presence. She doesn't mind if he speaks plainly, she always has good advice, and she's willing to help him with any of his problems.

Yet in four years Sunny never made any progress. His friends still dragged him to hang out with them, but he always seemed distant. He never really got his emotions back. He just lives constantly in a cycle of secretly doing what he hates just so he can express himself. None of his friends know his predicament, they just know one day he started acting weird.

The only change in the four years since Sunny was 12 is that Mari moved away for college. And the move brought a new member to the Picnic Sekai. Fukase.

Because you guys got notes on Gumi then you get notes on Fukase:

Fukase seems full of energy at a first glance! He initiates play with all members of the Sekai, one moment he'll dance with Gumi and the other he is playing tag with the kids.

He always seems to have a smile on his face, which sometimes those smiles are creepy, but Sunny has never seen Fukase without a smile.

Fukase is actually a manipulative little guy under the kind surface. It's been four years with no progress, and so Fukase is going to use his own methods to get Sunny 'better'. Even if it causes an unpleasant experience for Sunny.

It'll start with small things. Fukase will plant seeds in the faceless children's minds of how Sunny needs to face his challenges someday. Just in hopes that the children will all approach Sunny at their own time and make comments. Next, Sunny left his phone in a room with Basil during a sleepover. Fukase just tried turning on the screen with Untitled showing. Unfortunately Basil is too polite to actually snoop in Sunny's phone. Then, Aubrey would dream of a small concert in a forest. Her friend singing his heart out on stage while she held glowsticks in her hands.(in the PJSK game it's mentioned to characters that the people in the audience are "people who needed to see the concert" if I remember correctly) Lastly, Fukase actually puts Untitled on Kels phone. This works as intended until Kel spawns right in front of Gumi who immediately sends him back to the real world.

Fukase manifested when Mari moved out of the house. Part of the reason is because Sunny blames his friends and family for all of his problems. They are the ones who turned him into this monster and now they are able to run away like this is nothing. This is why Fukase turned out a little manipulative.

Anyways I have a lot more to say about the Picnic Sekai. This really just catches up to about the time the Omori game takes place. Mari and Hero coming back from college for a bit is something I wanna expand on sometime.

I've given in and decided to make my own SEKAI.

In all honesty, the EMPTY SEKAI already just screams me as a whole: mental illness, it being empty save for a few broken pillars and whatever is brought in. But I wanted to try and be original (which chances are this has already been done so....meh, this probably won't go far) and make my SEKAI the TOWER SEKAI.

A bit of a nod to the story of Rapunzel and fairy tales in general. I want my SEKAI to have that feeling of isolation but also an open outdoor area for breathing. Hence, it would be a tower in the middle of the woods. If I were to assign as aesthetic to it, it would be sorta witchy/cottagegore. Natural with a hint of horror if you will.

I'm going to list 6 VS who aren't in the game that I would personally love to have around:

Out of all of them, I feel like the first ones I'd meet would be Haku and Oliver. In terms of the Proseka VS, aside from Miku (who's always the first one you meet) the Kagamines are up there in terms who I'd meet first. If not them, it'd be MEIKO.

In terms of what the Untitled Song would turn into for me, I decided to go with "Continuing Dream." It's a song I've connected to in the past and amongst one of my favorites overall.

In general, I want a mix of songs that are more on the sweeter/cuter side and songs that are creepy/deal with very real things/people.

If I ever get to it, I'll design what the Proseka VS and the ones I chose would look like in the TOWER SEKAI. I kinda wanna take a stab at making some 3 and 4 star cards as well, but it might just be simple character design sketches for now.

Translation: Wonderlands x Showtime Main Story [Opening]

It’s already been translated by Glens from Project Sekai discord but I didn’t realize and ended up translating it ;-; I did get the okay to post this from the mods though so please enjoy! Translation under the cut.

—I always wanted to make my sister smile.

My sister Saki couldn’t even go to school much, as she was sickly, and I was always thinking about how I could make her smile.

But I was young and didn’t know what to do.

Then, my parents brought me and Saki to a show...

That day became unforgettable.

Young Saki: Wah...! That’s amazing, amazing!

Young Saki: Big brother, that person’s so cool! He’s shining!

Young Tsukasa: Yeah...! Woah! It’s really amazing!

Young Tsukasa: (Saki’s smiling...! How long has it been since she last smiled like this?)

Young Tsukasa: (No, it’s not just Saki. Dad and mom, too - every time the lead sings and dances, their smiles grow bigger... He’s so bright and cool!)

Young Tsukasa: (Ah... I guess that’s why you call the lead the “Star”...?)

Young Saki: ...This is so much fun, I’m sad that it has to end. I wish I could watch a show like this every day.

Young Saki: But... I can’t go outside much... It’s probably impossible.

Young Tsukasa: Saki...

Young Tsukasa: ...I got it! Then—

Several Years Later

Tsukasa’s Room

Tsukasa: It has come! The day has finally come!

Tsukasa: The sun is shining, and this must mean the heavens are celebrating my debut as a star!

Tsukasa: Hahaha! As expected of me! I’m sure I’ll pass the audition on the spot.

Saki: Big brother. Mom told you to stop being so noisy.

Tsukasa: Hm, it’s you, Saki. I’m not being noisy, I’m just doing my vocal exercises and talking to this wall.

Saki: Isn’t that just talking to yourself, but louder...?

Saki: Ah, actually, it’s your part-time job interview today! Good luck, big brother!

Tsukasa: It’s not an interview. Call it an audition. It sounds cooler, after all!

Saki: Ahaha, you’re so particular about weird things.

Tsukasa: Anyways, how’s school, Saki? Don’t push yourself just because you’ve gotten better.

Saki: Thanks, big brother. But I’m totally fine now! I’m going to enjoy my time in high school as much as I can!

Tsukasa: I see— that’s fine, then.

Saki: But, I’m happy. I feel like big brother’s getting closer to achieving his dream. You’ve always been saying that you’d be a star someday.

Saki: Huh? Actually, why did you start aiming to be a star?

Saki: I remember that you were always saying “I’ll become a star!” ever since we were little...

Tsukasa: The reason I started aiming to be a star - that’s obviously... Ah—... Uhm... What was it?

Saki: Eh!? Big brother, you forgot something about yourself?

Tsukasa: It just happened to slip my mind! Uhm, uhm... ah, it’s obvious that!

Tsukasa: It’s because I have talent given to me by the heavens! I can’t let this talent go to waste.

Saki: ...Really?

Saki: Ahaha. Now that you tell me, I feel like it might have been that. It’s very like you!

Tsukasa: I-it is! I’ll also gallantly pass today’s audition.

Tsukasa: And I—will definitely become a star!

Tsukasa: Huh?

Tsukasa: Did my phone just light up...?

Saki: Mm? Really? Anyways, you have to hurry and get ready! Good luck, big brother!

Tsukasa: Ah, okay.

Tsukaa: Mm, it’s not like I’ve gotten mail... Weird.

Tsukasa: (Why did I start aiming to be a star..? I feel like I’ve forgotten something important...)

Tsukasa: Uwah!? Too bright..!?

Miku: Hey~☆ Tsukasa-kun!

Tsukasa: Wha!? Who is it!?

Miku: It’s Miku~!

Tsukasa: Miku... You mean, like Hatsune Miku? I guess you look like her...

KAITO: I’m here too, Tsukasa-kun. Welcome!

Tsukasa: Owah!? And you’re Kaito..!? Since both Miku and Kaito have appeared, this must mean...

Tsukasa: That this is a dream! It must be! But when did I fall asleep...?

Miku: This is a Sekai, Tsukasa-kun!

Tsukasa: Hah? Sekai...?

KAITO: That’s right. This Sekai was born from Tsukasa-kun’s feelings.

Tsukasa: My feelings..? Born..? W-what are you talking about? I don’t understand! And what are you two doing here!?

KAITO: Miku and I are here because we want you to find your true feelings.

KAITO: Because if you find your true feelings, a song will be born from them.

Tsukasa: Hm... I see, I see... A song from my feelings...

Tsukasa: I don’t get it at all!!

Miku: Eh!?!?

Tsukasa: Anyways, my true feelings have already been decided! I’m going to become the world’s number one star!

Miku: Mm, you’re not wrong...

KAITO: Tsukasa-kun, do you remember why you decided you wanted to be a star?

Tsukasa: Why? That’s because..

Tsukasa: If I, a bundle of talent, become the world’s number one star, I’ll be able to be part of the world’s number one show!

Miku: Uh-huh!

Tsukasa: And then everyone who comes to watch...

Miku: Everyone...?

Tsukasa: Will focus on me!! They’ll have tears of joy as they watch me, the star!

Miku: Um... I guess you really have forgotten~

KAITO: Tsukasa-kun...

Tsukasa: W-what. Why do you look like you’re pitying me!?

KAITO: Sorry, sorry. It doesn’t matter if it takes a while - I’d be happy if Tsukasa-kun is able to find his true feelings.

KAITO: But... If you felt nostalgic when coming to this Sekai... I’d like you to not forget how you felt.

Tsukasa: Nostalgic... How do you know...?

Miku: Next time, come to the Sekai with everyone, Tsukasa-kun. Let’s sing together and make a fun show☆

Miku: I’m sure everyone has the same feelings as you!

Tsukasa: Oi, who’s everyone? The only thing I’ve done since coming here is ask questions!

KAITO: You’ll meet them soon. If you continue wanting to find your true feelings, that is.

Miku: Alright then, Tsukasa-kun! Let’s meet again, byebye☆

Tsukasa: Eh, eh!? W-what do you mean, meet again, o, oi..!?

Tsukasa: H-huh...?

Tsukasa: Was I sleeping? I feel like I had a really weird dream... and there was an oddly energetic Hatsune Miku...

Saki: Big brother! Aren’t you going to go for your part-time job interview? If you don’t hurry, you’ll be late!
