I feel extremely fortunate to be able to hear someone talk about superglueing plastic together from someone who has been doing that since before superglue had been invented.

#if you do any kind of model work this is probably worth the watch #it's neat to hear how they built star wars out of sheets of plastic straight from the horse's mouth #his enthusiasm is infectious #like he isn't doing a whole lot #but the institutional knowledge that he just sort of oozes as he talks #if you want to get into building crap out of sheets of plastic you couldn't ask for a better source #if i find the other one I'll share it too #this has a similar energy as like watching an expert potter or woodworker do their thing #only its slapping stuff together until it convincingly reads as 'spaceship' #he walks you through 'okay you have a blank panel you need to decorate with detail. how the hell do you even begin that' #if you like people talking about their niche specialty this one is a doozy #cyanoacrylate glue wasn't widely available until some time in the 70s they had to use 5 minute epoxy for the entire first star wars #i think the video where he talks about superglue is the other one I'm remembering #I'll find that one too #Youtube
