Word count: 6.1k words
Genre: Fanfiction, PG13, Comedy, Romance.
A/N: Hello! Chapter 15 is here, and I’ve written this chapter longer than I did before this ^^ Thank you for waiting everyone <3 Also, I’ll be starting my chapter 16 a.s.a.p. too so I hope you guys are interested to know what goes on later after this chapter :D
(Practice Room / Treasure)
“Hands up, straight!” Jihoon reminded his younger members.
All of the members that were younger than Jihoon and Hyunsuk were given a punishment in which they have to sit up straight whilst raising their arms straight, pointing to the ceiling above.
“I don’t get it, hyung. Why are we getting punished too? We weren’t involved in this stalking mission anyways,” Haruto whined, his raspy voice making it sound more of like a complaint.
The rest of the boys who were sitting in the back, Asahi, Junkyu, Mashiho, Yoshi and including Haruto himself started talking and whining all at once, making it almost impossible to identify what they were all trying to say.
Not to mention, it made the practice room noisier than it was before.
Jihoon raised his hand, signalling them to quiet down.
“Now, you boys in the back weren’t involved, sure. But you guys should’ve been more alert as well! I mean, did you guys not notice your friends acting fishy earlier today??”
“No…” Yoshi answered Jihoon’s question.
“Weren’t they all regularly fishy at all times?” Haruto asked back.
“Yeah, hyung. To be fair, we’re all weirdos here,” Mashiho added.
“Hey, hey,” Hyunsuk interrupted them. “Who said we’re weird?? We’re unique, okay”
“Didn’t y/n call us weird that one time though hyung?” Jihoon asked him back.
“Oh. Well then in that case, maybe we are weird huh,”
“Wait a minute, are you all trying to distract me?” Jihoon asked the rest of his dongsaengs who were sitting on the floor in front of him, with their hands resting by their sides by now.
“Woops,” Doyoung snickered.
“Hands up! Raise them high and straight!” Jihoon ordered them.
They all started groaning and complaining again, since their arms were tired from the punishment Jihoon gave them for the past 15 minutes.
                                                                *
Fast forward to Friday, you were getting a hang of working in the YGE Building. You have already figured out your way to your preferred restroom, you have your own lunch spot which was the balcony, and you were fairly familiar where the other facilities are since you were frequently asked to run errands here and there regardless of which floor.
“Y/n, before you leave, can you help take out the trash?” Bomin asked you, his finger pointing at the bin by the door whilst his eyes were still busy reading the document Soomin was showing him.
You shut your notebook slowly and looked at Soomin, who was also looking at you questioningly.
You were about to say okay when Soomin suddenly spoke up, “Hm? Why are you asking Y/n to take it out? Can’t you ask one of your own staff??”
Bomin placed the document in his hand down onto the table and smiled at his friend. “Come on Soomin, it’s just taking the trash out. Besides, she doesn’t have much task to do in your team.”
You felt a pang of hurt when he mentioned that. But it was true, ever since you entered the team, you haven’t received any serious tasks to be done. Everyone else had their own specific roles in the team and to be honest, you felt a little out of place knowing that your tasks were mostly small errands like printing and sending the documents out throughout the week.
“Well, y/n helped us a lot too!” Soomin defended you.
Bomin grinned at her, “Aw come on, don’t be too worked up about this. I know she’s new to your team anyways. I just wanted to—”
“It’s fine,” you interrupted the both of them.
Both Bomin and Soomin turned to look at you.
“I’m heading out anyways,” you smiled at them. “I’ll take the trash out and just head back home,”
Soomin glanced over at her watch. “Oh? Omg yeah, I almost forgot we finish work at noon on Fridays! Thanks for the reminder, y/n,” she winked at you.
You grinned at her and got up from your chair, packing up your stuff into your tote bag.
“Oh wait, Y/n!”
“Yes, Soomin?”
“You don’t want to have lunch with us before you leave?”
“Ahh,” you looked at her and the rest of your team in the room who were busy chatting with one another.
“It’s fine, I’ll just head home,” you said to her, giving her an apologetic smile.
“Sure, it’s fine,” she smiled back at you. “Take care, okay? I’ll see you on Monday?”
You nodded at her, “Yup, see you on Monday!”
With that, you picked up your bag and head towards the door of the meeting room. You picked up the trash bag from the bin beside the door and left the room.
                                                                *
You threw the trash bag into the larger bin at the end of the floor and entered the restroom to wash your hands for a while.
While you were drying your hands, you felt your phone buzzing from your bag.
Taking out your phone, you read the name on the screen. Chani. You answered the phonecall.
 Phonecall conversation (Y/n and Chani):
Chani: Y/n! Where are you?? Really?? I went to the restroom for a while and you just left me like that??
Y/n: Oh my god Chani, don’t make me sound that bad.
Chani: Where are you?
Y/n: I took out the trash just now. I’m heading home now.
Chani: What? Why? Are you sick??
Y/n: Gosh, you need to chill. I’m fine, Chani haha. I finish work at noon on Fridays, just so you know.
Chani: So…does this mean I’ll be having lunch all alone today…
Y/n: (rolls eyes) Oh my god, you have other friends too. Remember what you told me? Everybody loves Chani.
Chani: (sighs) okay fine. I’ll see you next week then?
Y/n: Yup. Okay then, go and have lunch! Byee!
-End call-
You looked at yourself one last time in the mirror before leaving the restroom.
                                                                 *
You were walking out of the restroom when you met Junghwan who was passing by.
Junghwan stopped walking when he saw you.
“Noona!” He greeted you cheerfully. He hurriedly approached you.
You smiled at him. “Junghwan.”
“Where are you going noona?”
“I’m about to head home. I get off work early on Fridays, remember?” you reminded him.
“Ahh, that’s right,” he scratched his head.
“Well, I’m going off now. It was nice seeing you. I need to make a quick stop at the convenience store out front too,” you said, referring to the convenience store you frequently visited which was opposite the YG Building itself.
You were about to walk away when Junghwan stopped you.
“Wait, noona!”
“Hm? What’s wrong, Junghwan?”
“Uhh, convenience store? W-we uh, have one here,” he started stuttering now that you were making direct eye contact with him.
You looked at him questioningly. “Ohh…Okay?”
“I mean—” Junghwan looked around. “Okay, come with me,” he grabbed your hand and pulled you along with him.
“Whoa, wait, slow down Junghwan!” you said, trying to keep up with his steps.
                                                                  *
 (GS25 Mart / YGE Building)
“Hyung, you’re getting that buttercream bread again today?” Haruto asked Jeongwoo who was at the bread aisle.
“Yup, it’s surprisingly good. You want one?” Jeongwoo asked him back.
Haruto turned to look at Jeongwoo before nodding at his hyung. “Sure,”
Haruto stood at the drinks aisle, still thinking of what drink to buy for lunch today. His hand reached out to his usual pick, cola, but then he moved his hand slightly to the grape juice on his left.
“Oh? That’s unusual.” A voice startled him. Haruto turned to look at the voice that surprised him.
Junkyu blinked curiously at him.
“W-what is it, hyung? Why are you staring at me like that?”
“Nothing, it’s just that, you’re getting grape juice??” Junkyu asked in disbelief.
“Whoa! What did you say?” Jeongwoo’s head popped up from behind the shelf near them.
Haruto blushed, “What?? I was just looking at it! I wasn’t really going to buy it!” he said, defending himself.
Junkyu lets out a laugh at his friend. “I was just kidding—”
“Here, here! Isn’t it cool?!” Junghwan’s excited voice boomed throughout the store in all of a sudden.
“Yah, So Junghwan, what are you being so loud for—” Jeongwoo stopped when he saw you and Junghwan outside the store. “Oh? Hey!” Jeongwoo hurriedly ran towards the both of you.
You nod and smiled at Jeongwoo as you saw him approaching you.
“What are you doing here, y/n? You here to buy some lunch?” Jeongwoo asked you.
“Ahh, I was actually heading towards the convenience store outside…” you said.
“Oh?” Jeongwoo said, surprised that you were here instead. Then he saw how Junghwan’s hand was still holding onto your arm.
Jeongwoo raised an eyebrow at the both of you. “So…Junghwan brought you here?”
You smiled apologetically and nodded at him.
Junghwan immediately lets go of your arm, “H-hey, I was just bringing her here since we have a convenience store here too!”
“Uh huh, sure,” he smirked at the maknae.
Your eyes looked around the outer part of the store and you felt amazed now that you were standing right in front of it.
“Wait, this store!” You ran to the front and pointed at the signage of the store.
“It’s the same store from that K-Drama, right?!” You fangirled excitedly.
Junghwan and Jeongwoo looked at you confusedly.
“Which drama, noona?”
“That oneeeee. The one with that Ji Chang Wook guy!”
Junghwan scratched the back of his head. “Maybe I should ask Yoshi-hyung if he knows that one, I haven’t watched many dramas,”
You took out your phone and posed for a selca with the smaller sign on the entrance of the store.
Jeongwoo shook his head at you. He turned to the maknae beside him, “You getting anything here?”
Junghwan blinked a couple times before patting his pockets. His face showed as if he just realised something and he turned back to his hyung, face in shock.
“What? What’s wrong?”
“Hyung…I left my wallet in the practice room…”
“Aish, don’t worry about that! I can pay for you too,” Jeongwoo said as he ruffled the maknae’s hair.
Junghwan grinned at his hyung. “Okay! I have a few things I want!”
“Hey, hey, I said I could pay, I don’t mean I’m buying you the whole store Junghwan-aa” Jeongwoo laughed.
Suddenly, another familiar voice called out to the both of the maknaes as they were about to enter the store again.
“Hey guys!”
Both of them turned around to see…
Chani skipping cheerfully towards them. He waved at them once he noticed they were looking at him.
“Hyung! Hi! What brings you here?” Jeongwoo greeted him.
Chani smiled at them, stopping right in front of both the maknaes. “I’m on my way to lunch, but I wasn’t in the mood to eat anything from the cafeteria,” he told them.
“Ahh. Oh? Are you going to have lunch at the balcony again today, hyung?” Jeongwoo asked since he knew how Chani was always having lunch with you at the balcony.
Chani shook his head, “Nah, y/n went home already. She told me she only works half-day on Fridays so,”
Junghwan and Jeongwoo looked at each other.
“So, you both buying lunch here too?” Chani asked.
“Uh, yeah,” Jeongwoo answered.
“Ah, you guys eating in the cafeteria today?”
“Oh, no. We need to catch up with practice so Hyunsuk and Jihoon hyung told us to just grab something and eat in the practice room,”
“Ahh, I see. Well,” Chani shrugged. “I wish y/n was here though. I don’t think I’ve brought her to this store yet. Oh well. Let’s go inside and buy some food together!” Chani said happily to the both of them.
Suddenly, Junghwan felt panicked. Instead of following Chani whom was heading towards the store, Junghwan immediately yelled, “OH? NOONA!”
Hearing this, Chani and Jeongwoo immediately turned around to look at Junghwan.
“S-sorry, I thought I saw Y/n-noona up there just now,”
“Oh? That’s impossible, she told me she was heading home just now,” Chani said as he took out his phone from his pocket.
Jeongwoo looked at his dongsaeng, confused as to what Junghwan was doing.
“She’s not answering her phone,” Chani sighed after he failed to call you. “She must’ve put it on silent again,”
“M-maybe,”
“Well, I’ll get going. See you all next time!” Chani said as he was about to leave the both of them.
“Hyung! You’re not buying food here?” Jeongwoo pointed at the store.
“Nah, I want to go check if y/n is up there. I’m gonna give her an earful of nagging for leaving without saying goodbye to me,” he complained. With that he waved goodbye at the maknaes and ran off towards the escalators heading up.
Jeongwoo shook his head and clicked his tongue, “Tsk tsk Junghwan-aa. Look at you,” he smirked at the maknae.
“I panicked! I’m sorry,” he said, meaning it too. “When he said y/n-noona went home, the only thought that crossed my head was that if he saw noona in the store, he might have dragged noona out to have lunch with him,”
Jeongwoo nodded, understanding why Junghwan did what he did.
“I mean, he gets to work with y/n-noona every day, he has lunch with her every day, and well, since noona is here today, I figured it’s only fair if I wanted to make sure we were the ones that get to have lunch with her this time,” he continued.
“Aigoo, you don’t have to get emotional about this,” Jeongwoo ruffled the kid’s hair. “I understand,” he said softly.
“Let’s get inside and grab lunch so that we can head back to the practice room soon, okay?” Jeongwoo added as he wraps an arm around Junghwan’s shoulder.
                                                                *
After taking selcas at the front entrance of the convenience store, you excitedly entered the store and started scanning through the shelves to see the types of snacks and food sold there.
Now, because you were quick enough to enter the store without the maknaes realising it, you had no idea about what went on outside the store when Chani and the maknaes met.
Oblivious and excited about being in the store, you didn’t realise there was another guy on the same aisle as you until he walked up towards you.
“Y/n!”
You turned to look and realised it was none other than Haruto, holding a bottle of grape juice in his hand.
“Hi Haruto!” You smiled at him.
“What are you doing here alone?”
“Junghwan brought me here,” you grinned. “I just got off work and we bumped into each other in the hallways. I was actually on my way to the convenience store outside, but your little brother out there brought me here instead,”
Haruto chuckled at your explanation. “Makes sense of him to bring you here. This store is good too. They sell good stuff here,”
You looked around you. “I can agree to that.”
“So, what are you getting?”
You eyed the grape juice in his hand. “I might get one of that,” you pointed at it, making Haruto blush when he noticed you wanting to get the same drink as him.
“And a ramen cup I guess?” You added. “It’s Friday anyways,”
Haruto nodded at you even though he had no idea how Fridays and ramen cups are related to one another.
You hurried towards the shelf that were filled with different types of cup and bowl noodles. You eyed every single one of them and picked up a few, wanting to read them closely since there were a few that you’ve never seen before.
“What kind of ramen do you like, y/n?” Haruto’s voice appeared again beside you.
You put back some of the cup noodles onto the shelf, leaving one in your hand.
“I like the ones that are not too spicy? Something with a broth or soupy too,” you answered him, your eyes still scanning the shelf.
You knelt down to look at the lower shelf and Haruto knelt down along with you, wanting to see what you were looking at.
You grabbed another ramen bowl from the bottom shelf and held it in your hands along with the one you had earlier.
“Which one is better, Ruto?” You turned to look at him.
“Hm? What do you mean?”
“Among these two kimchi ramen bowls. Which is better?”
Haruto looked at the bowls in your hands. He pointed at the one in your left hand. “This one has a nice sour kick to it, if you like the plain kimchi flavour,”
You nodded at his choice. “Okay, thank you for your suggestion,” you smiled.
You put back the noodle bowl that Haruto chose and decided to choose the one you picked from the top shelf earlier.
As you stood up, Haruto said, “Hey! What’s the point of you asking if you’re not gonna choose my pick?”
“Ah,” You looked at him, your chin slightly raising since you had to raise your head slightly to meet his eyes.
“I wanted to try this one instead,” you said as you showed the bowl in your hand again.
“But! That grape juice you’re holding looks good! Is it nice?” You asked, noticing he was confused with what you did earlier.
Haruto looked at the drink in his hand and then he looked at you who was eagerly waiting for his answer. “It’s actually my first time trying it,” he said, a little shy with his confession.
“Cool! I trust your taste, so I’ll get one too,” you said cheerfully.
Haruto smiled at you as he hears your praise on his taste.
“Ruto-yaa where are you? Help me here!” Another voice said on the other side of the shelves you and Haruto were standing at.
“I’m still here, hyung! What happened there?” Haruto answered as he walked towards the direction of the voice.
You followed behind him and saw Junkyu standing in front of the chiller, his hands on the handle.
“How did you open this chiller door? I’ve been trying for the past 5 minutes and it won’t open,” he whined, not noticing Haruto and you were directly behind him by now.
“Agh! Aigoo, this door!” Junkyu complained as he lets go of the handle.
“Aigoo hyung, it was fine before, how did it get stuck now?” Haruto asked him. He hands over his drink to Junkyu, asking him to move aside so that he could try pulling the door open this time.
You watched as the two guys in front of you struggle to open the chiller door.
“Uh, do you guys need help?” You asked, making Junkyu jump slightly, startled that you were there watching them the whole time.
“Y/n? When did you get here??”
“I…I’ve been here for a while now, I guess,”
Haruto smirked at you, “Pfft y/n, there’s no way you can open this. Even Junkyu-hyung struggled,”
“Heyy, I’ll have you know, I’m good at opening jar lids so, it’s probably the same, no?”
With that, you shoved your ramen bowl into Haruto’s hands and stepped up in front of the chiller door, with Junkyu beside you.
“Hyung? Y/n? You guys still here?” You heard Junghwan asking as both him and Jeongwoo stepped into the store after their moment with Chani earlier.
“We’re in the back here!” Haruto called out to them.
You huffed as you tugged on the door handle, one, two, you counted in your head.
Junkyu tilt his head slightly, feeling like it’s ridiculous to see you struggling to open the chiller door now.
“H-hey, let me try again. You might get hurt,” Junkyu said, his hand reaching to hold onto the handles again.
“No, I got this,” you said confidently.
Junkyu rolled his eyes and handed Haruto his drink back. He placed his hands slightly above yours, making it only 2cm close enough to touch your hands and he started pulling the handle as well.
“What’s going on here?” Jeongwoo said as he showed up behind you all.
“These both are competing to see who is stronger at opening that chiller door,” Haruto answered with a shrug.
“Hey, we’re not competing!” Junkyu said.
“Yeah, we just want to get this thing to open so I can get myself a grape juice too!” You added.
The both of you tugged harder this one time and as if luck was on your side, the door opened up.
But because the both of you had tugged too hard on the handle, the moment the door opened, Junkyu lost balance and lost his grip on the handles, making you the only person holding onto it as the door swings open quickly.
‘THUD’
“Whoa, did you guys hear that? What’s that loud noise?” Junghwan said, showing up behind Jeongwoo. His hand was holding onto a pack of gimbap.
Junghwan looked around and noticed that all of his hyungs’ eyes were on you, all looking shocked.
“What? What’s going on??” Junghwan asked again, not understanding what was going on.
“Y-y/n…a-are you okay?” Jeongwoo asked.
Haruto and Junkyu stayed silent, too shocked to even say anything.
You blinked a couple times, noticing your hands were still holding onto the chiller’s door handle. You also noticed a sharp pain on one side of your forehead.
That’s when you noticed that the edge of the chiller door was rested against your forehead. The part where your forehead was hurting.
You let go of the handle, making the door slowly closing back.
“Y/n?? Can you hear me??” Jeongwoo asked again, since you still hadn’t responded to him.
You felt your forehead sting in pain again, now that it’s exposed to the cold air in the store. You backed yourself against the side of the chiller, supporting yourself so you wouldn’t fall.
“It’s not bleeding, right?” You ask, your voice a little softer than usual.
Haruto, Jeongwoo and Junkyu all shook their heads, except for Junghwan who still didn’t know what happened.
You blinked a couple times again, making sure that you could still stand up straight.
“Well then, I guess everything’s okay then!” You tried your best to sound cheerful.
“You sure you okay?” Haruto asked this time.
You nodded several times, convincing them all that you were fine.
“I’m good! Now, get me a bottle of that grape juice too,” you said with a smile.
                                                                   *
(YGE Building / Treasure’s Practice Room)
Half of the Treasure members were in the practice room when you entered with the gang that were with you from the convenience store earlier.
Hyunsuk, who was sitting beside Mashiho, tilted his head when he saw you entering.
“Oh? You guys are back…. with…who’s that?” he asked, not being able to recognise you.
You were wearing Junghwan’s cap which covered most of your face (you purposely pulled it down) especially since after the incident in the convenience store the boys said they could see a bump forming on your head. Not to mention, you were dressed casually too (casual Fridays; what your company call it), wearing a dark blue hoodie paired with black jeans and your sneakers.
You pushed the cap on your head a little to the back to reveal your face. “Hi! Your boys forced me to have lunch with you guys here,” you smiled as you said this.
“Y/n!” Hyunsuk stood up excitedly and went up to you, hugging you as soon as he reached where you stood.
“I’m not sure if me being here is legal, but yeah, I originally wanted to head back home after having some ramen at the store outside,” you explained.
Hyunsuk grinned happily, feeling glad that after not meeting you for days, he could finally see you again.
“Oh wait, if you’re here,” Hyunsuk looked over behind you and his other members who were with you. “Is Chani here too?” he asked, knowing that ever since your team started working in their building, Chani has been your companion every time and everywhere.
“Aish, hyung! Don’t mention his name here, he might really show up!” Junghwan said in a loud whisper to his hyung.
“Ahh, sorry sorry,” Hyunsuk apologised, understanding why his maknae said that. “Come here, y/n! Let’s sit with the rest!” He said as he pulled your hand to go to the center of the room where the rest were sitting at.
“Wow, the moment he sees Y/n he literally forgot about us,” Haruto chuckled. “It’s almost like we were never here,” he added, jokingly.
Jeongwoo laughed at this. “As usual, Hyunsuk-hyung gets easily attached to people he likes I guess,” with that, Jeongwoo left to go and sit with you and the rest of the members.
Junkyu rolled his eyes after hearing both of what his dongsaengs said.
                                                                  *
“Ahh there they are!” Hyunsuk said as soon he sees Jihoon and Yoshi entering the practice room with a paper bag in their hands.
It had been only 15 minutes since you arrived in the practice room and while waiting for both of them, you had been chatting with Hyunsuk about your work.
You turned your head to look at the both who just arrived and smiled at them, letting them know that you notice them coming in too.
“Oh? Hello there, Y/n…with a cap? That’s a first!” Jihoon exclaimed when he sees you.
Yoshi bowed slightly at you and smiled as he greeted you.
All of them including you sat down on the floor, all in a scattered manner since the practice room was wide, unlike your cramped living room at home.
The one sitting nearby you were Hyunsuk, Yoshi and Junghwan.
Junghwan handed over your ramen bowl that you bought with him and the ones who were at the convenience store downstairs. You thanked him and tore the lid off.
“Oh? I forgot to get myself some hot water,” you said.
“Aish, noona. We got you covered,” Junghwan said to you. He got up and pulled out a flask of hot water from his bag, passing it to you once he sat back down.
“Wow, you bring hot water to practice every day?” You asked, impressed.
“Ah, Doyoung-hyung and I bring a flask each every day in case we’re too lazy to go get some from the cafeteria,”
“Huh, nice of you both,” you praised as you poured the hot water into your ramen bowl, covering it back with the lid once you’re done. You hand over Junghwan his flask back and thanked him.
You looked around you and see all of them eating their own food they bought, all immersed in their own thoughts, some talking to one another and laughing while eating.
You were waiting for your noodle to soften so you decided to tie up your hair into a low bun while waiting. Pulling your headband from your wrist, you tied up your hair into a messy low bun, struggling a little since the cap on your head was sort of making it hard for you to do so.
The cap on your head slipped forward, covering your eyes while you were tying your hair, and Hyunsuk noticed this.
“Aigoo, this cap is kinda big on you, no?” he said with a grin.
You smiled at him and finished up bunning up your hair.
Hyunsuk helped push the cap back to make sure you were able to at least look at your food and without realising it, he accidentally touched the bump on your forehead.
“Ah,” you winced softly. You backed your head away from Hyunsuk’s hand and held onto the cap, directly on the spot of your bump.
“Why, what’s wrong y/n?” Hyunsuk asked when he sees you looking uncomfortable.
“Oh nothing, nothing,” you tried to look away from him and ignored the sting on your forehead. Fixing the cap properly (enough for you to hide the bump and see your food in front of you), you grabbed your chopsticks and took off the lid of your noodle bowl.
You stirred your noodles and began eating it.
“Mmm, so good,” you said happily.
Hyunsuk smiled watching you eat beside him. He reached out his hand and pats your head, which earned another wince from you, since you felt the sting on your head intensify.
This time, your wince was loud enough for Junghwan to hear you. He turned around, a worried look on his face.
He set down his food onto the floor and scooted towards you. “Noona?”
You held onto the spot where your bump is hidden and you lowered your head, holding in the pain that was literally throbbing by now.
“Y/n?” Hyunsuk called out to you, worried as well now that he noticed Junghwan’s expression.
You blinked a couple times and took deep breaths to hold in the pain on your forehead.
You shook your head and forced a smile at the both of them. “I’m good, just a little sting in the head,”
“Really? You looked like you were very much in pain earlier,” Hyunsuk said, his frown visible on his face, not being able to shake his worry towards you. He clearly heard you wince not once, but twice.
You nodded profusely, you even grabbed your ramen bowl and started eating it back just so you could convince them not to worry about you.
“Noona…it still hurts, huh?” Junghwan said to you.
“Hm? What, what happened?” Hyunsuk asked him.
You chewed on your noodles, ignoring the both of them.
Seeing that you wouldn’t be honest with him, Junghwan pulled his cap off your head.
The sudden cold breeze hitting your forehead made you lift your head, your eyes meeting his.
Junghwan’s eyes widened though the moment he pulled his cap away from you.
“N-noona, your head…”
You pushed the stray strands of your hair away from your face, wondering why he looked so surprised at you. “What? What is it?”
Hyunsuk immediately pulled you to face him, “Oh my god! Y/n!” he exclaimed rather loudly.
Yoshi, who was beside you immediately put down his ipad that he was watching while eating and scrambled over to Hyunsuk’s side. “Oh my god, Y/n!” He said in shock as well.
You frowned at your friends. “What? Oh my god, what’s going on??”
“What’s going on over there?” You heard Jihoon’s voice asking from the other side of the room.
You turned your head to look at him and immediately everyone else on his side gasped out loud.
“Y-yah! Y/n! What happened to your head?!” He screamed in shock.
“What is it?? Is my head bleeding??” you asked back, your eyes tearing up.
You tried to touch the bump on your head but the moment your fingers grazed against it you felt a sharp pain, “Ouch,” You clenched your fist to hold yourself from screaming.
“No, don’t touch it, noona!” Junghwan said as he grabbed your hand.
“It’s bad…” Haruto breathed out as he stared at you.
“What happened to Y/n??” Jihoon asked again, this time, his voice a little louder.
“N-noona hit her head against the edge of the chiller door downstairs…” Junghwan stammered.
“What?!” Hyunsuk said, louder this time too.
“Guys omg, it’s just a small bump, let’s not make a big deal about it” you said.
“No, no, Y/n. It’s not a small bump like the one we saw earlier…” Jeongwoo explained to you.
You furrowed your eyebrows. “What? Then it’s a big bump??”
SNAP! The sound of a camera clicked. Everyone turned to see Asahi holding up his phone.
He walked up towards you and showed a picture of you, a frown on your face—and there it was, on your forehead—the small bump you remembered from before had grown bluish-black, making it seem like your forehead was rotting.
“OH MY GOD!” You screamed. “WHAT THE HELL IS THAT??”
“That’s…your forehead, y/n,” Asahi stated matter-of-factly.
Your eyes were tearing up. “Why is the colour so dark??”
“You must have hit your head so hard…” Hyunsuk said.
“Yah! What are you all doing just standing there?? Get something cold to calm the bruise on her head!” Jihoon said.
Yoshi hurriedly grabbed his cold canned drink that he hasn’t opened yet. Without thinking much, he immediately pressed it against your bruise, making you wince in pain because of the sudden contact against your throbbing head.
“Hyung! Don’t do it like that! Do it slowly!” Yedam called out to him.
At this rate, the whole group was gathering around you, worried looks on their faces as they watched Yoshi calming your bruise, trying to make it no longer swell whereas Hyunsuk and Junghwan kept calming you down every time they see your face showing any discomfort.
“Shh shh, it’s okay, it’ll be less bruised later, okay?” Hyunsuk whispered to you as he stroked your head.
“Noona, it’s okay, it’ll be less painful later,” Junghwan said as well, his hands holding yours.
Junkyu watched as everyone was focusing on you now, even himself too. He felt slightly guilty for not being able to contribute anything to make you feel better, so he just sat and watched over you with the others.
                                                                  *
(Evening / Dorm 1 – Hyunsuk, Yoshi, Junkyu, Haruto)
“I’m home!” Haruto called out as he entered their house even though there was nobody at home.
“Welcome home!” Yoshi replied, as he entered the main door beside his dongsaeng.
Haruto giggled at this and moved to the side to let everyone else enter as he bowed down to take off his shoes.
“Aaahhh home sweet home!” Haruto chanted as he raced towards the living room, jumping onto the sofa, letting his body rest after a good amount of dance practice with his group today.
“Aigoo Ruto-yaa, you better go wash up first before you fall asleep on the sofa,” Junkyu nagged at him when he passed by the living room.
“Yeah, yeah, don’t worry, I’ll shower up in a bit”
Hyunsuk entered the living room, his face clearly distracted.
“Hyung, everything alright?” Yoshi asked when he saw Hyunsuk’s expression.
“I don’t know…I just feel so worried about Y/n.”
“Ahh hyung, don’t worry too much. Her bruise wasn’t as dark as before too, and she said she was fine too when she left us after lunch. She was even smiling too,”
Hyunsuk shook his head. “How did she even hurt herself like that? She’s only worked in our building for a week and she already got herself into an accident like that. Imagine working there for a month, what else would happen to her?”
Yoshi walked up towards his hyung and pats his back. “Don’t worry, hyung. Y/n wouldn’t like it if we worry about her like this too,”
Haruto, who was listening to the whole conversation, scooted himself to sit up properly on the sofa. “Hyung-ah, do you think she’s doing okay right now? I mean, I feel like y/n might be the kind of person who wouldn’t be entirely honest if she’s feeling pain…Even when she got hit by the chiller door, she laughed it off and said she was fine. She even hid the fact that she was hurt by the bruise to the point when we found out it was already black and swollen badly,”
Hyunsuk nodded, understanding what Haruto was trying to say.
Suddenly, an idea came up to his head. “Do you guys want to have dinner with y/n? We can order takeout and watch a movie at her place. At the same time we can watch over her bruise too,” Hyunsuk said to his dongsaengs.
Yoshi and Haruto exchanged looks with one another. They knew that Hyunsuk was worried about you, because he really cares about you, but they weren’t too sure if bothering you tonight would be a good idea.
“Or, hyung, we could just invite her over for lunch tomorrow? She might want to rest up tonight,” Yoshi suggested.
“Oh? But y/n has never been to our place. Will that be okay, though?” Haruto asked.
“I don’t see why it wouldn’t be okay, as long as everyone in this dorm consents to it, it should be okay, no?”
Hyunsuk nods his head at this idea. His eyes glanced over at Junkyu’s room.
“Junkyu-aa! Junkyu, come over here!” he called out.
Junkyu walked out of his room, his hair slightly dishevelled, obviously he was laying down in bed earlier. “Yes, hyung?”
“We’re having lunch with y/n tomorrow, you cool with that?”
Junkyu shrugged, not understanding why Hyunsuk has to ask him. He would’ve just followed the rest of them without any complaints.
“Okay, I guess.”
“Okay, good. I’ll bring her over here tomorrow,” Hyunsuk said happily. Yoshi and Haruto too, smiled at their plan for tomorrow.
Junkyu was about to leave for his room back when he processed what Hyunsuk said earlier.
His eyes widened and he turned around to look at his dormmates again, “Wait, what?? You’re bringing Y/n over to our dorm??”

A Little into You (Junkyu x Reader) (Ch. 8)
Chapter 8 - “This isn’t awkward”
Word count: 4.6k words
Genre: Fanfiction, PG13, Comedy, Romance.
A/N: Hi! Surprise! Chapter 8 is here! Thank you for reading and supporting my writing y’all, I truly appreciate everyone’s love and support <3 Hope you all enjoy this chapter, love you all and have a nice weekend 🥰🧡
“I’m so sorry! I didn’t mean to, really,” Junkyu said, sounding all flustered, especially since you didn’t say anything after you accidentally bumped into him.
You were too shocked to even say anything though. Why? You weren’t sure either. But something about this guy makes your heart race.
Your hands were still partially covering your face, since earlier you thought you might have hurt it when you accidentally ran into him, hard.
Hyunsuk, who was not far from you and Junkyu, came over towards you, “Hey, y/n? Are you okay? Did you get hurt?”
Hyunsuk’s hand held your shoulder, making you focus back on reality.
“I…I’m fine, Hyunsuk,” you said, smiling softly at him as you moved your hands from your face.
“Hey, hey…don’t make it seem like it’s totally bad. We just accidentally bumped into each other that’s all. I didn’t hurt her or anything,” Junkyu said.
Jihoon walked over to the three of you, a smirk plastered on his face. “Junkyu-aa! This is y/n!”
Junkyu shot him a confused look, “Who??”
“Oh come on, y/n! It’s y/n, the girl that gave Hyunsuk-hyung his shirt last time,”
Junkyu still looked like he had no clue who you were even after Jihoon mentioned about that incident.
“The girl who helped hide Jaehyuk’s banana milk the other day….?” Jihoon prompted him on.
“Ahh! That girl.”
You stood there, feeling uncomfortable truthfully, now that they’re talking about you out loud.
Junkyu’s eyes lowered down to look at you (since he’s taller than you obviously). “Hmm…it’s nice meeting you, y/n,” he said in an unsure tone though.
You nodded briefly, avoiding eye contact with him. Again, why? No idea, you just felt a tad breathless now that he’s here. Or maybe you were just overwhelmed by what was going on.
You took a deep breath and moved slightly, making Hyunsuk’s hand fell off your shoulder.
“Well, it was nice seeing you all. I better get going now,” you said in one breath.
Just as you were about to dash off, you felt an arm grabbing you by your shoulder.
“Whoa whoa whoa. I thought you were having lunch with us, y/n?” That smooth, sultry voice said.
Your head turned to look at him, Jihoon. Your eyes glanced at his arm that was holding you by your shoulders. If anyone were to pass by, they might think that you were in trouble, since you’re being crowded by guys taller than you.
“N-no…I never said I agreed to that. Besides—”
“Y/n!”
Your sentence was left unfinished when you heard someone calling out to you. You turned your head to see Jaehyuk running towards where you were.
He was slightly panting when he was finally in front of you. Grinning his usual charming smile at you, he asked, “What are you doing here? Did you come to visit us?”
His smile was so wide and happy it made you feel bad if you were to say that you were here only because you were unable to leave since just now.
You responded at Jaehyuk with a smile.
But then again, before you could say anything, Jihoon had already spoken up.
“Y/n is going to have lunch with us! Isn’t that great?” he said cheerfully.
Jaehyuk smiled and cheered loudly, “Yay! That’s great! I’ll let the rest of the group know!” and with that he whipped out his phone and started typing fast onto it. His attention was no longer on you.
You shifted uncomfortably from where you’re standing. You looked up at Jihoon who was close behind you.
“Erm…could you, maybe, I don’t know, let go of me?” you said to Jihoon.
Jihoon stared at you for a while, making your eyes looking elsewhere since you felt that you didn’t need this impromptu staring contest with him.
Jihoon grinned at you before slowly releasing his grip off your shoulders.
“Well, now that that’s settled, let’s head to the restaurant now,” Jihoon said.
“W-wait? I thought we’re supposed to eat with the rest of your members?” you asked.
Hyunsuk lets out a chuckle, “Yeah, we are. But we can’t be seen leaving in a big group, y/n. It’ll make it too obvious that we’re on a free schedule and it might attract too much attention you know,” he explained.
You nodded, understanding what he meant.
                                                               *
All 5 of you arrived at the Japanese food Restaurant not long after. Truthfully, you felt a little out of place, noticing that the place seemed a little pricey and fancy to your taste.
The boys had already booked a private room for themselves to dine in, which means this will be your first time dining in at fancy restaurant and a private room.
It’s like the one you saw in those shows, you thought to yourself.
Now, honestly, you didn’t think it’d be too awkward since you were kinda dressed appropriately for the place (since you’re still in your work attire), and the boys too, weren’t wearing too fancily. It’s almost like a friendly gathering atmosphere instead.
BUT then, it got awkward when you see the boys shuffling to their seats.
Why is this awkward?
It’s awkward because you realised you had no idea where you were supposed to sit at.
The boys had already taken their seats, Hyunsuk, sitting at head end of the table, Jaehyuk and Jihoon, sitting facing each other, and then there’s Junkyu who’s sitting beside Jihoon.
Which meant that your option was to either sit beside Junkyu or Jaehyuk.
But then you noticed that Junkyu and Jihoon had already secured two sits on that one row so to even it out, it’s better if you sit next to Jaehyuk, right?
You slowly moved towards the seat beside Jaehyuk.
“Oh? Y/n, you’re sitting next to Jaehyuk?” Jihoon asked in all of a sudden, making you stop in your steps.
“Yeah…why? Was it reserved for someone else?” you asked.
“No~ Come here, sit next to me, y/n~” Jaehyuk said in a singsong tune.
This made you smile. You felt glad knowing that the person you’d be sitting next to was Jaehyuk. He’s been very friendly to you, and considering you’ve hung out with him and his dormmates, it only made sense that you were more comfortable sitting with him compared to anyone else in the room right now.
You sat down.
You had a smile on your face, feeling relieved knowing that you will feel less awkward being here by now, when suddenly you felt a cold, sharp gaze staring at you.
You lifted your head slightly and saw Junkyu sitting in front of you.
The moment both of your eyes met, he immediately looked away.
You blinked a few times. Was I imagining things or was he looking this way?
You turned your head away and focused on Hyunsuk who was talking about something to Jihoon, but then your eyes still lingered to look at Junkyu who was sitting opposite you.
Junkyu was looking down at his phone by now and you can’t help but feel like he was uncomfortable with your presence.
“Y/n!!” Yedam appeared at the doorframe of the private room.
Your head turned to look at him. You laughed a little seeing him struggle to enter the door with Junghwan by his side.
“Hey, hey, hey! No pushing!” You heard Mashiho said behind them.
Yedam immediately sat beside you, along with Junghwan following beside him as well.
You saw Jeongwoo shuffling to his seat beside Junkyu. You nodded at him. He too, did the same. The rest followed suit sitting in their respective seats.
By now, this was what the seating in the private room looked like:
 Head and End of table:
Hyunsuk and Doyoung
Left Row of table:
Jihoon, Junkyu, Jeongwoo, Haruto, Yoshi, Asahi
Right Row of the table:
Jaehyuk, You, Yedam, Junghwan, Mashiho
Hyunsuk and Jihoon discussed on what food to order. After placing the orders, while waiting for the food to arrive, everyone in the room started making small talk with each other.
“Y/n, how did you get invited here? Didn’t you know, Junghwan and I got so excited to leave practice just now when we read in the chat that Jaehyuk sent us!” Yedam said happily.
You laughed a little at him, “Gosh, you’re making it seem like I’m the celebrity here,”
Yedam laughed as well, “Hey, we missed you that’s all,”
You smiled at him.
Junghwan, who was beside Yedam, moved closer to the both of you, wanting to join in on the conversation as well.
“Hey, hey, y/n noona, I practiced a new song today,”
“Oh yeah? Was it the one that you sent in the group chat the other day?” you asked him.
Junghwan shook his head. “This is another new one noona. It’s called Believe by Justin Bieber,”
“Oh my god! I love that album! I mean, it’s not a new song but that whole album was so so good!” you said excitedly.
Junghwan was excited too, knowing that you liked the song just as much as he does, “Yes! I’m still practicing the song but I’ll let you know if I’m done with it,”
You nodded happily, “Sure, Junghwan.”
“Wait, what are you guys talking about? Jaehyuk didn’t send anything in our group chat,” Hyunsuk interrupted the three of you.
Everyone stopped talking instantly. All eyes were on you, Yedam and Junghwan.
“I…I meant the group chat that we have with y/n…” Yedam said.
Hyunsuk looked at the three of you in disbelief. “What? You all have a group chat together?? All 3 of you??”
“Well, to be precise, it’s the five of us, hyung,” Jaehyuk answered.
“What??”
Hyunsuk’s face was lined with extreme shock. He was the one who met you first, and yet his other friends were already being closer with you compared to him! Just how??
“Yah, Junghwan-aa, since when did you start addressing y/n as ‘Noona’? Last time we checked, you were barely able to converse with a girl this close, let alone calling them noona,” Jihoon asked, amused with what’s going on around him now.
Junghwan blushed slightly, “Y/n-noona said I could call her that…” he said shyly.
Hyunsuk was still baffled. He was speechless. He didn’t know how to react to this, but he also knew this was shocking news to him. It was difficult enough to get you to have lunch with him, and yet how was it so easy for them to get along with you right away?
“Oh come on hyung, what do you expect? We hung out with y/n the other day when you sent us to go get my banana uyu from her place,” Jaehyuk added.
“Yeah, we realised we clicked with each other so ever since that day we’ve all been chatting each other in the group we made,” Yedam explained further.
“Even Asahi is in the group??” Jihoon mused.
Everyone turned to look at Asahi who was calmly drinking his cup of hot green tea.
Asahi took a slow sip from his cup, clearly unbothered by everyone’s eyes on him.
When he was done, he placed the cup on the table and said briefly, “Hmm yeah.”
This earned a hearty laugh from Jihoon. He started laughing out loud.
“Oh no, he’s laughing alone again,” Yoshi whispered to Haruto. “Someone help him,” he said, genuinely concerned with his hyung.
Hyunsuk wasn’t the only one confused. You were too. Wasn’t this supposed to be a casual lunch? When did everyone get so intense??
And to make it worse, you couldn’t stop catching Junkyu shooting glares at you. What is this guy’s deal??
You held in your breath, hoping to just wake up from this dream. This has got to be a dream. It’s so bad that you wanted it to be a dream. Please.
Haruto raised his hand in all of a sudden.
All the tension in the room suddenly eased when they all paid attention to him. You too, slowly released your breath that you’ve been holding in.
“What is it Ruto? Are you okay?” Hyunsuk asked.
“Can someone…tell me what is going on here?” He said, in his deep voice. He had an annoyed look on his face too, probably because of the atmosphere everyone was in just now.
Haruto eyed you as well, which made you grip your cup in your hand.
“And can someone please tell me who this is?” he added.
You could hear yourself swallowing your own voice. You weren’t sure if you should be speaking up or not right now.
“Oh, well, this…this is y/n noona,” Junghwan said, trying to answer Haruto’s questions.
Haruto raised an eyebrow at their maknae, “Noona?”
“I meant, y/n…” Junghwan corrected himself.
You scoffed silently. You were clearly sure that you were older than half of them there, and there you go, another guy you barely know, asking questions about you indirectly when you were clearly right in front of him.
Hyunsuk, Jaehyuk and Yedam heard your scoff even when you intentionally did it quietly.
You didn’t need to be here, you thought to yourself. You didn’t need this uncomfortable atmosphere on a day where you were supposed to be celebrating about the merge of your boss’ company with another prestigious company.
“Uhh, actually, everyone, this is y/n. I invited her to have lunch with us today. She’s the girl that helped Jaehyuk with his banana milk case the other day,” Hyunsuk said quickly in one breath. Thank god for his rapping skills.
When he heard you scoff, he was sure, you were upset with the environment he dragged you to be in.
You were still disheartened by what was going on in the room though. And just as you thought of opening your mouth to say something, the waiter arrived carrying your orders.
“Ah! Food is here, everyone!” Yoshi said as he helped receive the plates from the waiter.
You forced a smile at everyone and helped arrange the foods on the table.
You tried your best not to frown all throughout the time being in that room with them. It wasn’t that you were entirely unhappy being there, it’s just that it was too obvious not everyone welcomed you to be there, so why were you still hanging around there?
Your jaw felt tight as you chew on your food. You kept your head down, just eating and listening to some of them chat whilst eating their dish.
What you didn’t realise was that Hyunsuk kept eyeing you, concerned with what he dragged you into.
Hyunsuk was zoned back to focus when he heard Jihoon laughing out loud from listening to Jaehyuk’s joke in front of him.
Again, his eyes fell onto you. You were chewing your food slowly, and no one was talking to you.
Hyunsuk’s guilt tripled just seeing you all quiet and keeping to yourself in this crowded room. He was thinking hard, on how to get you to cheer up.
You on the other hand, were busy ignoring the people in the room, and busy eating your emotions away. You didn’t want to make it obvious that you were incredibly upset but the way you were breathing totally gave away how you truly felt, especially to Yedam and Jaehyuk since they were sitting beside you.
You were about to place your bowl of unfinished rice onto the table when suddenly, a pair of chopsticks carrying a piece of meat appeared.
You turned to your right and you saw Yedam, holding the end of the chopticks. He smiled at you and placed the meat in your bowl.
“Eat up, y/n. Don’t let the rice go to waste, okay?” he said softly.
Suddenly, tears flooded your eyes. You wanted to cry but you held it in. All your anger washed off when you saw Yedam’s kind expression.
You sniffled to yourself. Come on y/n! Don’t be all sappy and emotional! Your friends are here with you, don’t ruin the moment just ‘cause you are upset!
You nodded at Yedam and continued eating your food, not wanting to worry your new friends.
Suddenly, Jihoon, spoke up loudly, “Hey, Junkyu.”
His loud voice earned few eyes looking at him. Including yours.
Junkyu had already finished his meal and was looking at his phone when Jihoon called his name. His eyes looked up to see his friend beside him, “Yeah?”
Jihoon picked a piece of meat with his chopsticks and placed it into Junkyu’s empty bowl. “Eat up, okay? Don’t waste your food,” he said in teasing tone.
Junkyu, who was confused just as the rest were, furrowed his eyebrows at his bestfriend’s action.
“What? What’s wrong with you today?” Junkyu asked Jihoon, in a confused tone.
Jihoon giggled to himself by this.
Again, Yoshi voiced out his concern about their hyung’s behaviour, “Oh no, there he goes again. Someone, really, is Jihoon-hyung okay?”
Jihoon chuckled at his friend’s remark. He bit on the end of his chopsticks and had his gaze focused on you.
And that’s when it hit you.
“H-hey!” You said, louder than your usual tone.
Jihoon laughed out loud when he saw how red your face went. It turns out that he was teasing you and Yedam earlier. He had seen Yedam giving you his piece of meat and he felt that it would be fun to tease Yedam’s sappy behaviour.
But he didn’t expect you to react this way.
Jihoon was clearly amused by you.
Ignoring Jihoon’s laugh, Hyunsuk asked you, “What is it, y/n? Is everything alright? Why is your face red? Was the food too spicy for you??”
You shook your head, embarrassed that you’ve created this much commotion by now.
“Aishh, Jihoon really can’t stay still, can he? He had to tease y/n like that,” Yedam said, slightly laughing as well.
“Oh? But what happened?” Jeongwoo asked.
Yedam smiled at the rest of his gang. “Ahh, I noticed y/n was quiet so I added some meat into her bowl, that’s all…” his voice trailed off, realising what he did, and now he felt shy about it.
“OOOOHHHHH YEDAMIE LOOK AT YOUUU,” Jaehyuk jeered, teasing his friend as well when he noticed Yedam’s shy smile.
The rest of the room went wild with cheers in all of a sudden.
You were perplexed by this, like??? Everyone was so intense just now and in a split second, everyone was having fun making fun of each other???
“Oooohhhh I didn’t know y/n would be your kind of girl, yedamie,”
“No wonder you’re all excited about meeting her just now! Did you guys know?? Yedam literally finished up the new choreo in 10 minutes CLEANLY after he got the text from Jaehyuk!”
All the loud commotion made everyone in the room crack up. Yedam was defending himself and facing all the teasings his friends were giving, and most of them who weren’t teasing were laughing along loudly, clearly enjoying this atmosphere.
Your eyes travelled to look at Haruto, who was also laughing along with Yoshi beside him.
And then you braved yourself to look at Junkyu who was in front of you.
There he was, laughing out loud with his mouth wide open and slapping the table with his hand when he sees Junghwan trying to feed Yedam and talking in a baby voice, still imitating Yedam on his gestures towards you.
Jaehyuk and Jihoon began singing while clapping their hands, “Yedam and y/n sitting on a tree, k-i-s-s-i-n—”
You started laughing as well, loving how warm and playful they are towards each other.
Now, your laugh wasn’t loud or anything, but it was audible enough to make everyone stop what they were doing and turned their attention to you.
Your laugh slowly faded when you noticed everyone’s eyes on you.
You cleared your throat. “W-what?”
“Y/n...you laughed!” Hyunsuk exclaimed.
“Erm…yeah? I know how to laugh too you know,” you stated matter-of-factly, as you giggled, thinking that what Hyunsuk said was funny to you.
“Oh but noona, you rarely laugh! You’re always just smiling politely at us,” Junghwan added.
You rolled your eyes slightly. You smiled at them again, “Oh my god! This is normal. Please, can we just go back to teasing Yedam here?” you said as you side-glanced Yedam.
Yedam elbowed you slightly, “Hmph, you’re one to talk, they’re all teasing you too, you know,”
You let out a light laugh. “Fine, but really, it was a nice moment.”
“What is?” Junkyu asked.
You were surprised he actually talked to you without glaring at you this time.
“I mean, it was nice to see you all have this roller coaster bond. I like how it’s easy for you all to cheer each other up by just simply being yourselves with each other. It’s…nice.” You said.
“Ew, y/n-ssi, I think you’re getting all sappy from being friends with Hyunsuk-hyung,” Doyoung said.
Few of you laughed at this, including yourself.
“I’m just saying,” you said.
“Sure, sure y/n. Now yedam-hyung, tell us again how you were being all sweet with y/n again,” Haruto said, holding in his giggles.
He was clearly enjoying this too much.
You rolled your eyes at this, “He was just being nice y’all, like, chill,” you said.
Yedam nodded and smiled at this.
Jihoon and Jaehyuk eyed each other for a while before singing again,
“YEDAM AND Y/N, SITTING ON A TREE, K-I-S-S-“
“Oh my god you guys!” You laughed out loud. This time you were lightly hitting Jaehyuk beside you to get him to stop.
Everyone in the room started cheering, asking you to hit Jihoon as well.
You laughed along with everyone, simply enjoying yourself being there now.
Hyunsuk, who was worried about you, was smiling to himself now. He was glad that you were smiling and laughing now. He was glad…that he brought you to meet them.
                                                                    *
The lunch ended after you all spent 2 hours just chatting and getting to know each other at the restaurant.
By now, you were all about to leave the restaurant, and waiting for your transport to go back home.
“Oh, so you’re all not going on that black van thingy?” you asked, surprised that they’re all waiting for cabs instead.
“Nah, it’s not a scheduled event, this lunch, I mean,” Hyunsuk said.
“We usually take our own rides when we have our own personal outings, so that it wouldn’t be too obvious, you know,” Jihoon added, explaining further.
“Huh…I didn’t know it was like that. This is something I just knew.”
Jihoon chuckled. “Come on, y/n. We need our own private moments too,”
“Alright, I get you,” you said to him, lightly giggling.
A cab arrived in front of you all, and you checked your phone to see if it’s the one you booked.
“Oh! This is my ride. I’ll be leaving first then,” you said as you waved goodbye to them.
The rest of them started saying bye and waving their hands at you, as they watched you enter the car.
As soon as your cab disappeared from their sight, the rest of the boys started crowding around their leaders.
“Wait, I thought Jeongwoo once said y/n lives in the same apartment block as us? Why can’t we just split cabs with her? That would’ve saved us more,” Mashiho wondered aloud.
Jeongwoo shook his head at this, “Hyung! It’s obvious we can’t do that. Y/n doesn’t know we live there. Well, I think she doesn’t know. I mean, I told her last time that I was just coincidentally there because I was visiting a friend,” he said, sounding unsure with himself.
Hyunsuk blinked at this. “Huh…so, none of you ever mentioned that we all live in the same apartment block as y/n?”
“No…” Yedam said.
The rest shook their heads as well at this.
“That’s weird. How can she not piece it all up? I mean, it would be kind of dumb for her to believe Jeongwoo when he said he was just visiting a friend there. I mean, Jeongwoo was taking out the trash! Who would take out their friend’s house’s trash for them??” Junkyu said.
Everyone looked at Junkyu at this point.
“What? I’m just saying.” He shrugged.
Hyunsuk pouted at this. “Hey, don’t make it sound like that. Y/n is not dumb. She’s just nice, that’s all,”
“Pfft. Hyung, you’re so smittened by her. You keep defending her,” Haruto said.
“What? Noooo. I was just protecting her, that’s all. She’s a nice friend,” Hyunsuk replied his dongsaeng.
“Yeah, besides, doesn’t Hyunsuk usually defend the rest of us too? Our hyung is just kind and caring towards his friend,” Jaehyuk added.
Hyunsuk grinned and playfully pinched Jaehyuk’s cheeks when he heard this.
“Aww our Hyukkie is a nice and caring friend too,” Hyunsuk cooed.
Doyoung interrupted them this time, “Oh? So…if it isn’t Hyunsuk who likes her, then…could it be Yedam?”
“What? Noooo!” Yedam laughed at his dongsaeng’s remark.
“Nah, Yedam has always been nice to everyone. He takes care of his other girl friends nicely too,” Asahi said, finally saying something in the discussion.
Junghwan and Jeongwoo nodded at this.
“Yeah! Yedam-hyung, you’re the best!” Junghwan said.
Yedam chuckled.
“Huh? What do you mean, doyoung? Are you implying that someone in this group should like y/n??” Junkyu asked aloud.
“Ahh no, no. I was just wondering you know…”
Junkyu scoffed out loud. “That better not happen. I wouldn’t want a girl causing a ruckus in our group just because one of us likes her,”
“What does that mean, Junkyu?” Yoshi asked, confused with what Junkyu is trying to say.
“I mean, if one of us likes her, and she likes someone else in the group, OR if more than one of us likes her, wouldn’t that cause us all to break apart??”
This earned Junkyu a light slap at the back of his head by Jihoon. “Ow, hey!”
“Aish, there you go overthinking stuff again,” Jihoon said in a nagging tone.
“I wouldn’t want us to break apart….” Junghwan said in a sullen tone.
“We won’t!” Jihoon said, assuring his members. “Besides, the chance of someone liking y/n is definitely there. And I just know who it might be,” he added.
“Oh? You can tell?” Mashiho asked.
“Definitely,” Jihoon smiled, his eyes glancing over at his best friend not far from him.
“Who, hyung?” Junghwan asked, feeling amazed at how his hyung is able to have this kind of premonition. Jihoon hyung must have special powers or some 6th sense stuff, he wondered to himself.
“Who cares who it is. Now, where’s our ride??” Junkyu said.
Haruto checked his phone, “Uh oh.”
“What? What is it Ruto?” Hyunsuk asked, worried.
“I uhh, I forgot to press the book button for our rides…”
“Oh come onnnn,” Junkyu whined.
The rest of the group giggled at Haruto’s honest yet cute mistake.
“It’s okay, it’s okay, we can just book again now,” Asahi said, smiling. He whipped out his phone and immediately booked two 6-seaters for them.
“Thanks, hyung,” Haruto said to him. Asahi nodded briefly at his friend.
They waited for their ride again this time, hoping that it’ll arrive soon.
While waiting, Doyoung asked again, “No, but really, hyung. Who would you predict to end up with y/n if it so happens that one of us likes her?”
Junkyu pouted at doyoung when he heard his friend still not dropping the subject of you.
Doyoung laughed when he saw Junkyu’s cute expression. “Alright, alright, we’ll stop talking about her,”
Jihoon on the other hand, simply smiled knowingly to himself. His eyes glanced over at Junkyu for a while.
“I don’t dare to say, but I just have a strong feeling who might fit her best,” he said, still smiling and glancing over at Junkyu again.

A Little Into You (Junkyu x Reader Fic) (ch. 5)
Word Count: 3.1k words
Pairing: Kim Junkyu x Fem. Reader (Treasure members are all included as well)
Genre: PG-13, Comedy, Romance
A/N: Hello! Finally, the fifth chapter is up! Hope you guys enjoy this one, and Happy New Year in advance 🥰🧡
You keyed in the combination numbers of the lock on your door and slammed the door shut behind you once you entered your home. Your heart was racing, you could hear your own breath shaking from the sprint you just did after leaving the elevator.
It was another member of the group, wasn’t it? Why are they all hanging around here?? And most importantly, why am I meeting them all now? Like, you’ve been staying here for more than a year now and yet you never seem to run into any of them before.
You rest your head against the door behind you. Still trying to catch your breath, you thought to yourself- maybe Jeongwoo was telling the truth about him visiting his friend. Maybe they all like to hang over at their friend’s house here?
You shook your head. Enough is enough. You didn’t want to think about them for now. It was nerve-wrecking enough that you almost got sued on the spot by Treasure, and if you hadn’t made a run for it when Jeongwoo was making that phone call, who knew if the lawyers really did send you a lawsuit for messing with their company’s boys?
You stood up straight and headed for your room. You wanted to take a warm shower and just relax for the whole night.
                                                                *
“Ah Junkyu-ah! Come in, come in!” Jihoon exclaimed when he saw his best friend at his dorm’s front door. (Note: The boys are living in 3 separate dorms in this fic as updated in their KProfiles’ site)
Junkyu entered the house and took off his shoes at the front entrance.
Jihoon walked away from the spot and headed towards the kitchen. “The rest of us are in the kitchen, come join us,” he said.
Junkyu nodded and tagged along behind his friend, seeing his other friends seemingly busy doing something in the kitchen.
Mashiho was busy whipping the eggs in a medium-sized bowl with all his might—in which Junkyu was concerned that if he whipped it any harder it would turn into a dessert instead of fried eggs. Not far from Mashiho was Doyoung, slightly in a bowing posture, deeply focused on watching a kimchi pancake recipe from his phone’s Youtube.
Junkyu felt warm being close to his friends. He had always appreciated their existence in his life, even before they debuted together, he had always felt a special bond with them. Junkyu pulled out a chair out of the dining table which was opposite the kitchen island where Mashiho and Doyoung stood.
A hand placed a glass of water in front of Junkyu, and he raised his head to see Jihoon nodding slightly at him.
“Thanks,” he said to his best friend.
“You know you can take off that face mask now right?” Jihoon asked obviously. “No fans can follow you around in here you know that,” he added, chuckling.
Junkyu snickered as he pulled the face mask off. He reached for the glass of water in front of him and took a big sip from it before placing it back down onto the table. Both him and Jihoon kept quiet whilst watching their dongsaengs both being busy in the kitchen.
“Mashi-hyung, can you pass me the salt behind you?”
Mashiho stopped beating his eggs. “Oh? Sure, here,” he passed the bottle of salt to Doyoung.
“Thanks—WAIT what is that??”
Mashiho blinked his eyes innocently at his dongsaeng’s question. “Huh? What is what?”
“THAT,” Doyoung pointed out at the foamy bubbles formed in the bowl Mashiho was holding.
Mashiho’s eyes looked down into the bowl in his hands. He smiled brightly as he said, “Eggs! I’m making omelette today!”
“I—” Doyoung was speechless at what he saw. He wasn’t sure if he should tell his hyung that he might have overbeat his eggs at this point since he looked so proud with what he did.
“Don’t worry, I’ll add in some leeks too! It’ll taste really good,” Mashiho added, his smile still beaming on his face.
Jihoon got up from his seat to peek at Mashi’s bowl. Jihoon snorted out loud, in which he quickly covered his mouth with his hand.
Mashiho turned to look at his hyung who was standing behind him by now, “What? What’s so funny, hyung?”
“Nothing, nothing. I just…you better cook those eggs now Mashi. There’s no need to beat them anymore,”
“But, I want to add in leeks—” Mashiho said but was cut off by Jihoon tugging him and directing him towards their kitchen stove.
“Sure, sure. Just add in everything you want. There you go, no more beatings. Just add in them leeks and cook okay?”
Mashiho looked at him, puzzled by Jihoon’s behaviour. He shrugged and followed his hyung’s instructions without further questions.
Doyoung who was a few feet away from both of them, raised a thumbs up at Jihoon for acting quickly before their omelette turns into something else.
Jihoon nodded briefly at Doyoung before returning to his seat beside Junkyu again.
“What happened there?” Junkyu asked as soon as his best friend was beside him again.
“Nah, nothing big. Just some issues with eggs.”
“Oh.”
Suddenly, they heard the front door being closed. Everyone turned to see Jeongwoo walking into the kitchen with a solemn look on his face. Jeongwoo headed towards the kitchen sink and washes his hands thoroughly, since he had just taken out their trash earlier. After making sure his hands are clean, Jeongwoo wiped them with a kitchen cloth and proceeded to take a seat with his hyungs at the table.
“Wow someone looks down in the dumps,” Jihoon said as he saw the look on Jeongwoo’s face.
Jeongwoo ignored him and continued staring down at the table.
“Oh come on. Don’t you get it? Down in the dumps? You went to throw the trash out in the dumps earlier? No?” Jihoon said, trying to explain the pun he made.
Junkyu rolled his eyes slightly at his hyung’s lame pun.
“Oh come on, Junkyu! You don’t think it’s funny either??” Junkyu shook his head at Jihoon who asked him in disbelief. “Man, I must be really losing it,” Jihoon said to himself, noting that he was getting less funny now.
Junkyu eyed Jeongwoo who was sitting opposite him. “Hey Jeongwoo. Hyunsuk said that you called him and sounded like you were in trouble earlier. Are you okay?”
Jeongwoo raised his head to meet Junkyu’s eyes. He looked like he wanted to say something but then he shook his head and looked away again.
Jihoon furrowed his eyebrows, feeling confused at what was going on with his dongsaeng. “Wait, Jeongwoo called Hyunsuk? When?” he asked Junkyu.
“Yeah, I was talking to Hyunsuk on my way back here on the phone and Hyunsuk suddenly told me to check up on Jeongwoo because he was worried about him after receiving a call from Jeongwoo,”
“Huh…Hey kid, speak up. Something happened while you were taking out the trash, right? Now that I think about it, you were gone for quite some time too. Usually when we take out the trash, it takes us less than 10 minutes to come back here,” Jihoon said, his voice now filled with concern for his dongsaeng.
Jeongwoo blinked a couple times before looking up at both his hyungs. “The trash shoot on our floor was under maintenance so I went to the main trash container outside the building.”
“Aahh, so you had to go all the way down there huh, just now?”
Jeongwoo nodded at Jihoon.
“And? What happened down there? Did a sasaeng stalked you?”
Jeongwoo shook his head at this. However, his face was still written with disappointment. Jihoon and Junkyu exchanged looks, concern starting to form on their faces as well.
Jeongwoo lets out a loud sigh. He rests his head against the table, which made it more difficult for his hyungs to read his expression now.
Jihoon decided to shake Jeongwoo’s shoulder, “Hey, you better tell us what happened. We’re genuinely worried about you.”
Another sigh escaped Jeongwoo’s lips. He raised his head, and this time, his face showed double the frustration compared to when he first entered. To be honest, he actually looked like he almost cried.
“Yah…what really happened?”
“I…I just can’t! I feel like I’ve disappointed everyone!” Jeongwoo exclaimed loudly.
Both Jihoon and Junkyu was surprised by this. Even Doyoung and Mashiho whom were busy cooking stopped to look at what was going on.
Jeongwoo got up from his seat and paced around the kitchen. He was contemplating to tell what happened, but at the same time he felt like it was no use because in the end, you had already escaped from him.
“Jeongwoo-aa, just tell us. It’s okay, who knows we can help you. We’ve been together for so long, you don’t have to be scared to tell us anything,” Doyoung chimed in, trying to calm Jeongwoo down. He already stopped mixing his pancake batter by now.
Jeongwoo stopped pacing around the room. Taking a deep breath, he nodded at his hyung. Doyoung was right, he shouldn’t feel scared to tell them this. He walked back to the chair near Junkyu and Jihoon and joined them again. He took in another deep breath before opening his mouth, “Okay…I’ll tell you guys what happened earlier…”
                                                                 *
It had been a week since the incident of you meeting the treasure members at the convenience store. It had also been a week since you met Jeongwoo for the second time that day at your apartment’s trash container. There had been no more encounters with these people so far, and you were grateful for it.
You were already prepared to be ambushed and to be filed a lawsuit by last weekend but since nothing happened, you took it as a sign that maybe—just maybe, Jeongwoo was kind enough to look the other way and not file a lawsuit against you. Maybe.
And because there was no proper closure on what was going to happen to you after the encounters you had, you started being extra careful whenever you leave for work or even when you head home after work. Like, literally, this whole current week, you had been walking very fast to work and every time you’re about to pass by the YG Building, it makes your anxiety level rise up, making you hustle like as if you’re running a marathon every single time you pass by the building.
Of course, the only pro to this is that, you’ve been arriving to work earlier than usual and you were able to get more of your work done before it was due.
Since it’s been a week, which means it’s already Friday again today, you were already packing up your belongings from your desk at work before noon time.
“y/n-ssi? Are you done with the brochure I asked you to design?” Sangyeol, another colleague you often work with, asked you.
“Oh yeah. I emailed it to your second email address. The one for department purposes?”
Sangyeol was quiet for a while, staring at his monitor on his desk. Probably checking his email. “Oh right. I’ve got it. Thank you! I’ll let you know if it needs any improvement, yeah?”
You smiled at him, nodding. “Sure, just let me know.”
Your eyes landed on the small table clock on your desk that marked 12.05pm. Bingo. Time to clock out!
                                                                 *
Stepping out of your office building, you felt the warm sun seeping through your skin. It felt good. You love the warmth more than anything. If anything, you hated cold weather more than you hate finding beansprouts in your noodles when you ordered them at a shop. Sure, a little breeze is nice but heck no if it’s the bone-biting cold weather.
After a couple good minutes of soaking in the Sun’s warmth, you proceeded to walk down the block, straight towards the convenience store to commence your usual “Ramen Fridays” ritual.
                                                                  *
“Welcome!” you heard the young cashier greet you as you entered the shop.
Your eyes met him from afar and you flashed him a friendly smile, considering you were comfortable with his presence by now since you see him every Friday.
“Ramyeon?” he asked out loud as he saw you heading towards the instant noodle’s aisle.
You looked at him and nodded briefly. He smiled at you, a soft and cute one too. You chuckled to yourself thinking that you literally find this cashier cute today when usually you wouldn’t even glance at any guys around you.
Shaking your head to yourself, you focused on scanning the row of instant noodles on the shelves.
You leaned down to take a closer look at the ones at the bottom shelf, when you heard the cashier greeting some other customers into the shop.
                                                                 *
“Welcome!” the friendly cashier greeted Jaehyuk as he entered the store. He bowed slightly and headed straight towards the chiller. His eyes scanned for that small yellow bottle of his favourite drink, in hopes that it hasn’t sold out yet.
He was busy zoning in on the chiller, he didn’t realise Jeongwoo grabbing his shoulder, making him almost jump out of surprise.
“Hyung! I told you to wait for me, didn’t I? Why did you leave me?” Jeongwoo whined at him.
Jaehyuk chuckled at his dongsaeng’s behaviour. Jeongwoo is indeed the baby brother in the group. Jaehyuk’s eyes narrowed as he smiled behind his half-covered face at Jeongwoo, thinking that this dongsaeng is acting all cute and clingy.
“Eyy you know I want to make sure that I get this drink, right? I need to get a good amount of supply before it runs out,”
“But hyung, what happened to the supply you bought last Tuesday?” Jeongwoo asked him.
“Aish, those are all finished already,” Jaehyuk answered him, his hands already grabbing two bottles of the banana milk in front of him.
“Wait—but you bought 6 bottles the other day,”
Jaehyuk stopped in his action and turned to look at his dongsaeng. “Jeongwoo-aa…”
“Yes, hyung?”
“What happened to those 11 cups of ramen you bought last week?”
Jeongwoo fell silent. “Okay fair point. You can take as many banana uyu as you want hyung,” he said in defeat.
Jaehyuk grinned and proceeded to grab onto more of the banana milk since there seems to be plenty of them today. “Hey Jeongwoo, grab that basket over there. I might take half of these,” he urged his dongsaeng to grab the basket near the front door.
As Jeongwoo was grabbing the basket, a familiar figure tapped his shoulder.
“Oh! Hyung! Gosh, you startled me!” he said, his hand clenched at his chest.
Hyunsuk’s eye smile formed above his face mask. Fixing his cap on his head, he nodded at his dongsaeng, “Where’s Jaehyuk?”
Jeongwoo gestured towards the drink’s chiller, and there was Jaehyuk, arms holding onto 5-6 bottles of banana uyu.
The both of them made their way towards the struggling man and helped him put his drinks into the basket.
“Hyung! What are you doing here?” Jaehyuk asked as soon as he saw Hyunsuk.
Hyunsuk leaned against one of the glass doors of the chiller and smirked as he said, “Jihoon sent me out here to check up on you just in case you buy too much uyu,”
Jeongwoo’s eyes glanced at the basket he was holding, which already had 7 bottles of banana uyu in it, and Jaehyuk’s hand was still reaching into the chiller to grab some more.
Hyunsuk’s eyes darted into the basket as well. “Okay Jaehyuk, that’s enough. This is enough to cover a whole week for you. Put that one back into the chiller,” he points at the bottle in Jaehyuk’s hand.
“But hyung…” at this point, both Hyunsuk and Jeongwoo could hear Jaehyuk pouting as he says this. It was easy to tell that Hyunsuk and Jeongwoo was smiling underneath their masks.
Hyunsuk shook his head and said, “Seven is enough Hyuk-aa. Put the rest back,” his tone sounded like he was still smiling though.
“Aww but hyunggg,” Jaehyuk dragged his words, all in a whining tone now. Jeongwoo was already giggling at him now.
Hyunsuk too, started snickering when his eyes landed on the girl at the payment counter. He stopped what he was doing as he tilt his head slightly. The small orange-coloured heart keychain hanging out of the totebag seemed familiar.
He turned around to look at both his dongsaengs arguing about the banana uyu.
“No, hyung! You heard Hyunsuk-hyung right? Seven is enoughhh,”
“Just one more, please just one more Jeongwoo-aa,”
“Hey Jeongwoo, you settle things up with Jaehyuk first okay? I’ll be right back,” Hyunsuk told his dongsaeng beside him. Jeongwoo nodded at his hyung before proceeding to nag at his hyung about self-control.
                                                                 *
“No spicy kimchi stew flavoured ramyeon for you today, miss?” the cashier asked as he beeped your bowl of instant sweet curry flavoured ramyeon you had placed on the counter.
“Ooh no thanks. I’m feeling for something sweet today,” you smiled at him.
The cashier nodded at this and smiled as well. “Alright, that’ll be $8.”
You took out your wallet from your tote bag and opened it to pay when suddenly the cashier spoke up again, “Wait—”
Your eyes looked up from your wallet and into his. A questioning look formed on your face, “Y-yes?”
“You didn’t buy any drinks yet,”
You blinked a couple times. “Oh? Oh! Oh no no, I got myself a bottled water today,” you grinned at him. You pulled out the water bottle from your bag to show him as well.
“Oh, alright then,” he giggled. “Okay that’ll only be $8 then.”
You nodded and pulled out a $10 note from your wallet and paid it up to him. You were waiting for your change when suddenly you heard someone’s voice beside you.
“Excuse me,”
You turned around to see a man wearing a cap and face mask on. Only his eyes are visible for you to look at. “…yes? Can I help you?” you asked this man.
“Oh? It’s really you!” the man sounded happy saying this to you.
“Erm, miss, your change?” the cashier interrupted you and the stranger as he handed you your change back. You smiled and took it from him, shoving it into your tote bag. You grabbed the ramyeon bowl from the counter and looked back at the guy in front of you.
“I’m sorry…? I…don’t recall…You are?”
You heard him chuckle. “Oh right, how would you tell? Silly me.” He removed his face mask and lifted his cap slightly to show you his face. His grin was fully visible to you now.
Your eyes widened. “H-Hyunsuk-ssi,” you said softly.
Hyunsuk nodded and smiled brightly at you. “Yes! It’s me! Oh my god it’s been a while!”
You blinked a few times, in hopes that this was just a dream but the more you blink, he’s still there right in front of you. You swallowed the lump in your throat. How…Just how…did I end up meeting him again?
