I am starting from fluff and putting all the drama below the cut, so better prepare yourself for being completely trashed, because this episode trashed me.
I knew something was up when last week we got all those weird signs that something is going into a bad direction and this feeling only intensified when opening started somehow from the middle in the song and then rapidly cut. It was like screaming "danger" straight into our faces without actually saying what this danger might be... so, coming back to episode. Most of it was focused on match, so everything else was put into last few minutes, which OH MY GOD turned everything upside down! Completely upside down in 5 minutes!
Maki’s and Touma’s drama below the cut. Be prepared for hardcore.

It turned out that my predictions about Touma's mother weren't completely off-shoot. I exaggerated a bit with suicide, but weren't wrong about the fact she may want to leave and that she made a decision. I didn't though think she will fill for a divorce. I thought she may for example fill for separation at first. I can see that she has enough, but also I cannot understand her at all too.

Today's situation is the best example, she told Touma everything he wanted to hear and seemed to be happy for him and then suddenly dropped such a bomb on him and hurt him in the worst possible way. Telling him that she has enough of him and that he will now live with his father while she will live with Ryouma, because she cannot stand Touma. It was as if she ripped something from us all too. We heard her praising Touma and maybe even felt their relationship may be repaired, but then... she took it with her harsh words. I don't know if she did it intentionally, but it really felt as if she wanted to hurt him in some way. And she did, giving him the attention and praise he wanted and then informing him that she also tried hard and has enough and live without her is his new reality. I would refrain from blaming her though. I can see that Touma isn't the best child in the vicinity, he hurt her so many times and made her scared of him, so it's understandable that she wanted to live, but at least she could stop herself from ruining his good mood and let Ryouma tell him. If she did, it wouldn't come out as if she rejected her child all together regardless of his effort to achieve something similar to what his brother achieved. How is he supposed to feel now? When she told him he is the reason for her divorce? HOW?

And then Maki. We don't know what happened to his mother, why she wasn't at home, why the glass with water was broken and why Shou was alone in the apartment, but we do know that he also had enough. His great mood also destroyed by the parent, though this time Maki wasn't having it. I would really never in my dreams imagine Maki in this scenario, but it's real, he really went to buy a knife and is gonna murder his father. And as much as I understand why he thought it to be a solution, I think Maki isn't in his right mind. Did he even consider what will happen to him? To his life? To his mother's life when he kills his father? Or if nobody ever learns what he did, how much it can fuck up his mind? He definitely didn't consider any of that when he decided to go with the promise he made before. Do I have to point out how dangerous that is even? Maki is just a child, he really thinks he will be able to overpower his father? He really thinks he can win this fight and effectively get rid of him? Does he know how big is the chance that his father with use the knife to hurt him instead? Did he consider that he is so afraid of his power that he may lose any will to fight in the entrance just because he saw him? He definitely did not! Is this sudden cut at the start supposed to express the murder of someone? Who then?!
