YEAH FOR SURE..!!! perhaps it wouldve been like that if kevins reason for leaving the nest wasn't so dramatic/he didnt know about wymack being his father at all. i think because kevin admires jeremy so much hed struggle a lot with coming to him while unable to play exy at all, because he doesnt want jeremy to see him as incapable...... im not sure if they were close enough for that to be an option, but i like to think of a world where kevin did go to the trojans first!!!!!! after all they were there as well when kevin decided to leave since it was around the time for the winter banquet and the ravens were hosting. ultimately i think a culmination of things kept kevin from ever joining the trojans post-nest, a good chunk of it being shame and the realization that he probably would never play again

now though!!!!! kevin doesnt *need* to be the person who reaches out. in an alternate timeline, i can very well see jeremy looking for him during the banquet and finding kevin hurt. in that state i really think jeremy wouldnt have let kevin go back to the nest at all, and wouldve taken him to california whether the rest of his team liked or not. i actually think thatd make a very interesting au wouldnt it....
