A is on #defense so she’s ready since big brother is a #defender they feel more comfortable with it. I’m so proud of them stepping into this amazing #sport as older beginner players. Sometimes it’s frustrating when our #kidssports don’t get the same #sports #sportsfunding as others. For example, #lacrosse - although the fastest growing sport in the US- gets hardly any recognition nor funding compared to football in our area. As y’all know, my son takes his #lacrosse very serious, it is his one #sportpassion. Chance plays #yearroundlacrosse #yearroundlax Since we are a #homeschool family with private high school classes, I’m not new to paying for all of my kids’ extracurricular activities but having Chance in public school this year so he can continue to #playlacrosse has opened my eyes up to just how little the school provides to these kids. Many of the families are not as blessed and can’t put out the good amount of cash needed to keep these #lacrossekids #lacrosseguys in gear. I found out his coach even gives up his stipend to help pay for some of the costs. As a team he set a pretty good fundraising goal of $10k. I know - steep, right? Except that we already have 45 kids on the team and it’s #offseason ! That’s impressive for our small town IMHO. So - what does this #lacrossemom do? Much to her kid’s dismay I sign up to help with #teamfundraising - all of these #laxbros should be able to play - just like the football players. So- all of that to say- I’m going to be donating 10% of all of my #lax #laxshirts #laxdecals #lacrosseshirts #lacrossedecals #lacrosseitems to the team fundraising until December. Yesterday was a beautiful day for #lacrosse and watching these guys having fun. Since Chance plays on tournament teams and is working on his skills in clinics and also playing #boxlacrosse he often is playing against friends and teammates from his other teams. Even when they don't they are such great sports. Coach is yelling #fightforit and they are fighting their hearts out, as soon as the play is over- they #fistbump , laugh at who fell on who and who got banged up and #defense resets. I was never a huge sports fan but I #lovelacrosse Coach's screams gave me some ideas for new #lacrossedecals for the #etsyshop also 😂#livelovelacrosse #laxmom #lacrossemom #sportsmom

Great day of #lacrosse watching my #defenseman play. He played well today, bringing the ball back four times and keeping their #attackmen from scoring. We laughed at the one play where he seems to be chasing his opponent around the net but Coach told him he played great D. He said you want to pressure them to make them want to get rid of the ball and he did. He’s played #lsm in the past and enjoys it so even on #closedefense he loves to take and run the ball and coach loves it too. I’m so proud that he’s such a #teamplayer and has always passed off to his #teammates when it’s the best play for the team. Chance takes #lacrosse very serious and I love how much he enjoys it! He’s only played just over a year and the coaches always compliment how quickly he’s picked it up. Pretty sure that’s because he lives and breathes #lax , I’m learning too- we always have long talks about the game on the way home and today he told me there’s no other feeling like being in the mix of the game and taking the ball to bring back to your #team he said he loves that you have to think so fast and also move and push your body at the same time. I’m so proud of his dedication and passion. I hope everyone enjoyed their MLK holiday. We had a blast, doing one of the things I love most- hanging out and having fun as a #lacrossemom with our awesome #lacrosseteam and #lacrossefamily all day long with five back to back #lacrosse #lacrossetournament . They were indoors also! We usually play #boxlacrosse here off season but enjoyed some short, 7x7 #lacrossegame yesterday which was a lot of fun and great times for all. I don’t think I could sit that long and watch any other sport and still be just as pumped by game 5! Chance had a blast- he was so excited to have his #dpole in his hands since he has to play with a #shortstick for #boxlacrosse . No rest for the weary, he’s back at it tonight for a box game. There was a lot of blood, sweat, and tears even yesterday for an all in all amazing day. Good #offseason experience and conditioning. #indoorlacrosse is seriously not for the faint of heart, #lacrosselife in general takes a special #player and #mom but that glass...
