@heartsfiire  𝐚𝐬𝐤𝐞𝐝:   "i've waited all these years for you to be here."   RANDOM LYRIC STARTERS.
life threw CURVE-BALLS all the time,   good or bad there was no way to truly be ready.   getting sick had definitely not been on his literary,    he planned to start a life with laurel,   he wanted to grow old with her & have a bunch of kids to go with their seemly perfect suburban life.   it was all too good to be true,   the true meaning of life debated one’s EXISTENCE,   getting sick surely questioned his own personal beliefs.   was he just another organism living a feeble existence OR DID HE HAVE A SOUL?  those were the kinds of things that one questioned on their death bed.   WAS THERE PEACE?  was there another place to move onto when his time on earth was all said & done?  whatever it was,  wilden had not been ready to leave it all behind.   he wanted to hold on for barley,   the look of horror on his son’s face just by seeing all the monitors he was hooked onto was a sight enough to break him.   the anguish on laurel’s face knowing that this was truly the end of their story.  knowing that he’d never get to meet his newborn son,   ian.   he personally went with iandore,   but laurel was insistent on the fact that the kids would make fun of him so he settled for ian,  a short more abbreviated version of the previous name,   it was a nice touch.    very reminiscent of the DAYS OF OLD where magic reigned supreme.  the spell had been planned in advance & maybe as a result it had sped up the process.  but he had to try,  who knew if barley or ian would have the gift.   for all he knew,   the spell could BACKFIRE & it would be all for nothing but one thing that he had been in life was persistent & coming from a past that hailed from a mystical aura,   he believed in the spirit of hope.   he hoped in life that magic would come back &  he had hoped on the days of death that he’d get to meet his sons again.   ❛ you have your mother’s eyes --- is that too much of a cliche?  but you also got my height.  ❜   he chuckles jovially,   trying to turn this matter of urgency into a moment they could both ease into.  his remain eyes unwavering,    afraid that if he looked away,   he might lose sight of this moment altogether.   drawing ian close,   wilden’s arms open wide to bring his son into a much desired embrace,   the prickle of tears forthcoming & present.    ❛  look at you,  you’re just like i imagined you’d be. ❜
