the ‘real’ de-petrification process…… aka unyassifying all the characters designs

#is it bad that i kinda hate it. #it just marks the moment that petrification becomes a toy to inagaki rather than like. a traumatic event. #like whatever. i know the reframing is important to utilizing medusa as a healing mechanism rather than a weapon. #but it never truly becomes one it’s obsolete after a couple uses (to keep the characters at a manageable power level) #edit bc i came back an elaborated more: #idk. petrification just seems like a really huge thing to recover from mentally as an individual and as an entire species as the direct targ #*target of a phenomenon that would have insane ramifications. #like as a scientist and someone who met directly with the medusas on the moon the rest of the world will just have to trust senku kohaku and #stanley aren’t lying. (depending on what information they choose to share) gen literally made propaganda to control how the other #unpetrified people thought about senku as their leader #THERES JUST SO MANY IMPLICATIONS AND QUESTIONS i don’t think inagaki could answer all of it but a concept as grand as this deserves intense #consideration #gen does become a diplomat for that reason but that’s a lot for one person to carry!! i want to see what those conversations were like!!! #d.s
