So Bosco initially asks Jasmine if she wants to get some coffee, keeping it light and casual. It took Bosco a lot of courage to even bother talking to Jasmine again, including a lot of hype from their new coworkers (Daya, Korn, Willow, and boss Angie). So when Jasmine initially says no, they're crushed. Jasmine can even hear them crying a bit as they're walking away, which softens her heart a bit. She's thinking that maybe Bosco needs closure about as much as she does.

When Jasmine tells MVP Gay Dads (tm) Big Will and Reg Craig, they're not pleased about it in the slightest (even though they were rooting for Bosco before the betrayal). But Jasmine tells them that it's for sure going to be their last meeting and it's going to give both her and Bosco the closure they need to fully move on.

During the coffee date, Jasmine is being the most confident woman in existence. Like she's built herself back up. She's got a new business to talk about. She's independent and self sustaining. And Bosco is like a mess—blubbering, apologizing, and seeing that they're not really getting anywhere and it's clear that Jasmine is doing way better without them.

But when it rains and Bosco, still tear stricken, pulls off their jacket to hold it above Jasmine so she doesn't get wet? She sees this as a sweet move, something that old Bosco would have done, and clearly not just a *move* or something calculated, since Bosco is still a mess, still not their regular smooth self, and is still clearly torn up from the break up years ago.
