[Excerpt - beware, I might rewrite this one]

He looked at her and she looked at him. She was sitting by the firepit by herself and he wanted to keep her company.

"May I... sit next to you?" Lucas was annoyed at the fact that he was nervous around her. He was used to being so confident around women; the women were usually nervous around him.

But Rosalia wasn't nervous at all. To the contrary, she seemed relaxed. She stared at him calmly, a mischievous glint in her brown eyes.

"Are you sure?" She asked blandly. "Because just two days ago you were avoiding me like the plague."

He sighed, exasperated. Of course she was going to make this harder than it needed to be. "Look, I'm sorry. Again. I was being stupid and dumb-"

"Come." She patted the empty space next to her.

He obeyed immediately, feeling his body move automatically to his surprise. He sat next to her closely, making sure to press his body very close to hers.

"Easy as that," she smiled.

Her body was very soft and Lucas could smell her strawberry-mango perfume mixed with a hint of Shea butter. Her purple bikini matched beautifully with her dark skin and her hair was down for once with a matching purple headband, she opting not to wear her signature ponytail today.

He had to admit, he was entranced by her.

He wrapped his arm around her shoulders, his fingers lightly touching her hair.

She grasped his hand, entwining her fingers with his. Lucas smirked in satisfaction as his fingers lightly brushed her breast. She didn't seem to mind, holding his hand, contented.

Their fellow Islanders walked past them, looking at them in confusion and in shock.

Lucas frowned, annoyed by everyone's reactions.

Rosalia smiled, amused.

She had let her anger get to her and now she was the angry black woman on the show.

I need to calm down quicker. I can't let myself get angry again. I need to be careful.

Her heart beat fast and she was frightened. So frightened. For how the viewers would see her and for her place in the show.

This was a game after all.

Chapter Three

The most gorgeous and beautiful Indian woman stepped out. She had long burgundy red hair, tan skin, and long thick legs. She wore a white dress with a plunging necklace that showed off her ample breasts nicely and silver heels.

"Hello everyone!" she smiled. "I'm so excited to meet you all! I'm Priya!"

Bobby whistled under his breath, making Rosalia side-eye him.

Okay, so I was thinking about posting this for a while but I decided to because I wanted lol.

This took SO long because I was so picky and I wanted it to be perfect 🥰

Also after hearing and having the conversations about POC representation with my fellow black and POC peers, I wanted to showcase a black woman with Lucas and I wanted to create some more moodboards and content for my upcoming LITG fanfiction (which I am outlining and writing.)

I might update this moodboard later on but I wanted to post this one now.

💝Valentine's Day Drabble (Lucas x MC)💝

Author's Note: A little Drabble for Lucas and Rosalia since I'm coming out of my hiatus soon.

Lucas looked at the mountains of food in front of him. Callaloo, rice, stew chicken, macaroni pie, kimchi, and a bowl of Bibimbap.

"Babe," Lucas looked confused.

"Yes?" Rosalia grinned.

"Why?"

"Well, you see what happened was that girl from work-"

"Babe!" Lucas groaned. She always did this. If someone said something, like say tell Rosalia that she couldn't do something, she took it so far. One time, his aunt told her that she couldn't keep the house clean and that it was the reason Lucas got sick that one time during the panoramic.

Even though Lucas clarified that he got sick from a client at work.

But Rosalia spent a whole week scrubbing the place clean.

Thanks to the toxic environment she grew up in with her family, Rosalia had this tendency to try and please everyone. And he told her many times that was a waste of time and energy on her.

But three and a half years of him telling her that couldn't undo 20+ years of toxic programming.

"I'm sorry... I did it again," She looked so hurt that Lucas softened up immediately.

He sighed, got up and gave her a tight hug.

"It's okay. I know you're trying."

"I'm sorry..."

"Don't be."

They continued to hug for a while.

"Happy Valentines Day, by the way..." She whispered quietly.

"Happy Valentines," He smiled. "Let's eat this food. Okay?"

Her eyes lit up, and she started dishing out food for them both, chattering the whole time.

He smiled. When she's happy, he's happy.

lucas for the character asks if you're up for it!!

1. Sexuality: I do think Lucas is more bi-curious. But he grew in a household where he wasn't allowed to explore that side of him, so he didn't until he was an adult.

2. OTP: Lucas x Rosalia (MC). Yes.

3. BROTP: Lucas x Henrik, because it's destiny and the universe said so, we have to respect that. Also I really like Gary and Lucas's friendly rivalry. (We see more of Gary/Lucas friendship in Alien.)

4. NOTP: Lucas x Rocco. Lucas doesn't like Rocco at all. Not at all. Never did and never will.

5. First Headcanon: He would buy his girl a motorcycle. He would if she wants one.

6. Well he shares a lot of lines with Henrik but I do like this one: 'I feel safe with you, then I have with anyone.'

Which is so sweet because Lucas didn't really feel safe and secure with anyone, not even his own parents.

7. I relate to Lucas's struggles with being insecure in himself, I also feel so insecure in myself and in me as person.

8. This man let Blake manipulate him. I can't. Wow.

9. Cinnamon roll or problematic fave: He has his problematic moments, but he is a cinnamon roll to me 😊

Rosalia was supposed to be Bobby's MC

Okay so yeah... Rosalia was supposed to be Bobby's MC and things happened:

-I started liking Lucas and became interested in his character. And because of that, Rosalia became interested in him as well 💀

-And one day, in one of my drafts, Lucas ended up being nicer to Rosalia in one of the scenes and I was like 'Huh?!' Originally Lucas and Rosalia weren't supposed to be that friendly, in fact Lucas was supposed to be one of the antagonists in the story but nope. It didn't work out like that. And thinking about it, Lucas being a villain is overdone at this point.

-Just like that scenes with Lucas and Rosalia being romantic, flirty and... a bit sexual started being written and that's what happened 😳 😅

-Yeah, Rosalia chose Lucas for herself lol. She's that petty.

(Also I finally found those screeshots, Rosalia was Lia back then.)

Author's Note: This is a long time coming. I hope you guys like what I share. I've been wanting to write a LITG fanfic with a black female protagonist for a long while because most fanfics I've read feature white MCs so I couldn't relate to them. And after watching Love Island UK and USA for a long time, I've noticed that the black women on the show have a very different experience from their white counterparts so I wanted to do this.

POV: Rosalia mostly, but some chapters will feature Lucas.
