(An Angel in Disguise)

Vax was a light sleeper, he always had been to be the protector of himself and is sister growing up. But that trait had never left him.

The quietness of North Oak unsettled him a bit. He was so used too the loud noises and flashing lights of the city to soothe him to sleep, and as a result normally found an excuse to not sleep at Kerry’s villa. But he really couldn’t deny an invitation after a dinner date the two had to come back here.

He fought it for a while, trying to force himself back to sleep. Maybe it was the silk sheets, or the massive windows making him uncomfortable. Sometimes he struggled with dating someone like Kerry simply for the luxury around him suddenly. Or maybe he was just strange.

He huffed when sleep refused to take him, rolling on his back. He stared up at the ceiling, tapping his fingers on his stomach before looking at Kerry.

His heart swelled almost immediately at the sight in front of him.

Kerry laid on his stomach, arm under his head and the other rested between them. His soft snores were oddly endearing, his face was completely calm. Vax rolled on his stomach as well to get a better look at the rocker, just wanting to admire him without being teased for it.

Vax had always noticed Kerry’s freckles, and the subtle laugh lines on his face. All things he could have easily gotten rid of but didn’t. It made him more human. Johnny had been upset to see Kerry had gotten rid of scars he apparently had back in the day, but Vax was just glad he had kept the freckles. Maybe he was into that sort of thing… or maybe he was just into Kerry.

As much as Vax loved seeing Kerry natural… he couldn’t deny how sexy the gold and black chrome on his neck was. How it brightened his face in the sun. Even the gold in his eyes was beautiful.

If Vax didn’t know better, he’d think Ker was an Angel on earth. Walking in heavenly gold, and like he owned the earth. A swagger and confidence that only someone like Kerry could have.

And in that moment, Vax knew he was gone for this man. He frowned at the thought, hiding in his arm as he wondered why Kerry was into someone like him.

“Because of me.”

“Can it Johnny.”

If there was ever a lottery in hottest partner in the world, V won by a landslide. How did he get so lucky? Not only was Kerry hot, he was amazing as a mainline as well. When Kerry called him that for the first time, he damn near fainted. Maybe he really was in love…

He looked back at Kerry after the thought, the older man still sound asleep. V smiled, reaching to take his hand. And for a brief moment, Kerry’s eyes fluttered open before closing again.

“You okay?” He asked, groggy with still being basically asleep.

“I’m perfect.” Vax replied, making the rocker smile before falling back to sleep.
