CONCEPT: Black Flag modern AU. Anne and Edward are friends; Edward has a huge embarrassing crush on James Kidd; Edward thinks he and Anne's hot butch gf Mary are acquaintances at most. Running gag is that Edward doesn't realize Mary/Jim is genderfluid and he is convinced that Mary and Jim are actually two different people. Mary and Anne have figured this out and have a bet going on how long it's going to take Edward to realize. He probably doesn't actually figure it out until he gets Jim into bed bc that would be the funniest possible outcome imo.

Mary and Anne are an item.  Edward and Anne are friends.  Edward and Mary have been dancing around each other for god knows how long, and they both suck at feelings so that's going nowhere fast.  Fortunately for them, Anne's patience is limited.

My current hyperfixation has switched from Dishonored to (sigh) Black Flag which is super unfortunate both for my Dishonored WIPs and also because there is literally NO Black Flag fandom content in existence for me to faceplant in because it is like.  Both old and honestly not that good.

Calico Jack staged a mutiny, stole my ship, marooned me with fucking VANE who I then had to kill obvs, and threatened to sell my quartermaster as a slave in Kingston, and then I went and found Mary and Ade and stole my fucking ship back and I DIDN'T EVEN GET TO PLAY THROUGH IT????? Had a huge internal debate earlier abt this theoretical Black Flag fic I may never write, specifically whether I should use contemporary racial terminology or period-typical terms that have fallen out of use and are now considered offensive and then it occurred to me that I'm not looking up period-typical slang for "penis" so like I may as well just say "Black" like a normal person, whatever lol
