The Calm after the Storm 🐍

Little angsty, little fluffy, NSFW, DRAMA.

He sat at the edge of the lake in the Forbidden forest, since MC, it had become his favourite place, he stared out into it, all the times he'd spent there with her, flashes of them together playing on a loop in his mind, Rerek slithered next to him, looking at him, Marvolo turned his head to look back at him giving him a small grin.

Rerek: Urgh.

Marvolo: Heh..What?

Rerek: I see right through that fake grin you just gave me..

Marvolos face dropped slowly back into a thoughtful frown as he looked back towards the lake.

Rerek slithered up onto him, coiling around him like a comforting scarf, giving him a slight squeeze before resting his head on Marvolos shoulder.

Rerek: I've known you since you were a child, Master..You cannot hide such feelings from me..You know what you must do.

Marvolo: I know, Rerek..

Marvolo lifted a hand, giving Rerek a gentle scratch on his head.

Marvolo: *sigh* ...Let's go and see how this works out shall we...

Marvolo approached his home, stepping inside and heading upstairs. He took in a deep breath as he knocked on Ominis's bedroom door, hearing him call out to enter. He walked in, seeing Ominis relaxing sitting on a chair as he looked in the direction of the door before standing.

Marvolo: Its me.

Ominis: Oh, Marvolo.

Marvolo: Listen..Can we talk?

Ominis pulled a curious face, raising a brow.

Ominis: ...About?

Marvolo: About something..Important.

Ominis sat back down on the chair at the small table in his room, and gestured for Marvolo to take the other chair. Marvolo sat, his eyes not leaving Ominis.

Ominis: Father told me you are set to be wed..And that you kicked up a fuss about it..Has it got anything to do with that?

Marvolo: I suppose..In a way..I mean, yes.

Ominis: Well..Go on..Talk to me if you wish..

Marvolo: I shan't be marrying this women..I refuse.

Ominis leaned on the table with intrigue.

Ominis: Interesting...And whys that?

Marvolo sighed, his heart pounding in his chest..

Marvolo: I'm in love Ominis..For the first time in my life..I've found it..And I don't intend for a second to lose it..

Ominis's eyes stared in his brothers direction, he didn't say anything at first, just sat. Marvolo could tell he had something to say, as they simply made eye contact. Ominis spoke out.

Ominis: I've kept quiet..But I need you to be aware..That I know, Marvolo..

Marvolo: (?)....What is it you know?

Ominis: Its MC..

Marvolo froze, staring into the eyes of his younger brother, he didn't know what to say, though, Ominis didn't look angry, he didnt look uncomfortable, he didn't look upset.

Marvolo: ..How long have you known?

Ominis: a while..Though I must admit, love was something I never expected to be on the cards..I thought it was just..Sex.

Marvolo: ...And how did you actually find out?

Ominis let out a small chuckle.

Ominis: Rather uncomfortably..When Sebastian started acting a little weird..So I asked him to tell me what got him acting strange..He told me of the nights the..Three of you..Had spent together.

Marvolo felt slightly uncomfortable for a moment, and even blind Ominis sensed it.

Marvolo: Surprised you didn't instantly try and rip my head off...Or talk to MC.

Ominis: I thought about it..But times past since then, I calmed myself..Dont get me wrong, Sebastian got an earful..And it wasn't until at a later date Sebastian told me he tired to flirt with MC one evening and she turned him down..Thats when I knew something else was happening behind closed doors, you had changed slightly, and so had MC, and I felt that, Marvolo..I'm not stupid..

Marvolo: I love her Ominis..

Ominis: Do you really?

Marvolo: I really do.

Ominis sat for a moment in thought, Before he sighed, leaning forward and putting a hand on Marvolos shoulder, Marvolo looked at his hand, before looking back at him.

Ominis: She is my friend, Marvolo..A good friend..Just..Don't hurt her..Please.

Marvolo: I promise you Ominis...And I'm sorry its taken me so long to tell you..

Ominis stood, as did Marvolo, the two of them facing eachother, Ominis leaned forward and gave his brother a small uncomfortable brotherly hug, which surprised Marvolo, at first he didn't know what to do, then his arms came up and he hugged him back, after a moment the two of them pulled away.

Ominis: I will hold you to your promise..And I wish you luck telling father..You're going to need it..

Marvolo: *sigh* I know...Thank you, Ominis. For taking this so well..I didn't think for a moment that you would..

Ominis: *small chuckle* Life is strange, Marvolo. You being in love has proved that.

Marvolo: *chuckles* ..Very true.

When evening came, Marvolo and MC lay in bed in the private room of The Three Broomsticks. The last time the pair had been in that room was back when they were both confused about their feelings for eachother, they'd come a long way since then. MC lay atop of him, his hands running down her bare back as the two of them made out softly. Marvolo let out a small chuckle as he flipped her around, with him now being ontop of her, he continued the kiss, he tenderly kissed at her jawline, before licking down her neck and to her chest, his hands all over her, the pair of them letting out small desperate noises in this moment.

MC: Truly, Marvolo, I do.

He pulled her in for an embrace. The two of them just lay bare on the bed together.

Marvolo: Good..*sigh* I must leave soon..To tell my father..

MC: I'm scared.

Marvolo: Don't be.

MC: You say that.. But I understand the risk, I understand how your family do things..I know this will not end well..

Marvolo: MC...I adore you, and want to be with you..And that's EXACTLY how its going to be..

MC: *small concerned smile as she holds him tightly*

Once back at his home, with Rerek by his side, Marvolo entered the living room where he knew he'd find his father, Aleister turned and stood, tooking at Marvolo with narrowed eyes.

Aleister: Ready to Apologise?

Marvolo: Pffft, for what?

Aliester: The Drama from the other evening..I hope to god you've come to your senses Marvolo, you're marrying that women.

Marvolo clenched his fists, as Rerek made his way across the room, hissing deeply, his eyes on Aleister, and settling nearby, but ready for action. Ominis heard the start of their conversation from the top of the stairs, and rushed to his room, enchanting a quill to write down his words.

"MC, come to the Manor, I feel you need to be here"

He quickly shoved the letter inside an envelope and let out a whistle near his open window, their family owl coming to collect it

Ominis: Take this to MC..Hurry.

And with that the owl flew off into the night.

Downstairs, Marvolo and his father were still having a stand off.

Marvolo: I'm NOT marrying her father..

Aleister: Why are you making this SO difficult?!

Marvolo: BECAUSE I LOVE ANOTHER!!

Aliester glared at him confused before he let out a wicked laugh.

Aliester: You've never loved another being in your whole DAMN LIFE Marvolo!

Marvolo: Well NOW I have! And I DO! It's her a want to be with! It's HER I love!

Aliester took out his wand, Marvolo quickly doing the same, as they aimed at eachother.

Aliester: *speaks through gritted teeth* ...Who?

Marvolo: *Spits back equally as aggressive* MC...

Aliesters eyes widened, his breathing becoming shakey and heavy.

Aliester: That DIRTY little half breed?!

Marvolo: Yes! The half breed!

Aliester: HOW DARE YOU TRY AND EMBARRASS THIS FAMILY!!! HOW DARE YOU WISH TO TAINT OUR LINEAGE!! *Growls and yells, shooting a spell towards Marvolo*

Marvolo dodged it, quickly yelling out and shooting a spell back at him, Rerek dived out with a hiss at Aliester, but he quickly and aggressively knocked Rerek out of the way, Marvolo gasped before giving his father an utterly furious look, both of them shouting, their bodies smashing into different areas of the room being hit with eachothers magic and the room itself getting destroyed in the process, Ominis came running in, panicked and angry.

Ominis: STOP THIS!!!!!

But Marvolo and their father were too filled with aggression to listen, both of them cut up and bleeding, hissing and hollering, parseltongue coming out in their anger.

Aleister: I CANNOT ALLOW IT MARVOLO, YOU KNOW I CAN'T!!!

Marvolo: ITS NOT FOR YOU TO DECIDE, FATHER!!!

The continued the fight.

Ophelia ran into the room, bewildered and concerned.

Ominis: Mother?! Do something!!

She was in shock at what she was witnessing. Rerek made his way over to Ominis, Ominis felt him at his leg.

Ominis: Rerek?!

Ominis knelt down on the floor next to Rerek, to not take the risk of getting hit with spells which he could hear were flying all over the place.

Ophelia: ALEISTER! MARVOLO! STOP!! STOP AT ONCE!!!!

The two still continued their rampage at eachother..

Aleister landed a hit on Marvolo, making him yell out and his wand flying out of his hand, Aleister had lost it completely, raising his wand for a final time.

Aleister: AVADA KEDAVRA!!!

Ophelia: ALEISTER!!!

Ominis: FATHER!!!

As the green bolt flew towards Marvolo, Rerek quickly dived up in front of him, taking the hit...His lifeless body hitting the floor, the green hue lingering on his scales.

Marvolo: NOOO!!!!! NO NO NO NO NO!!

Marvolo dropped to his knees, picking up Rereks body, staring at him, his breathing becoming shakey, as a tear rolled down his cheek, and his face twisting into pain. Aleister snapped out of his rage, and gasped, dropping his wand, and shaking.

Aleister: God's..Oh gods!!.. M-Marvolo, I-

Marvolo: *points at his father* NOT ANOTHER FUCKING WORD!!!!

Ophelia ran to Aleister.

Ophelia: Are you out of your mind?!!!!

Aleister: I...I don't..I..

Ominis sat next to Marvolo on the floor, a hand on his shoulder, as Marvolo cradled Rerek in his arms, holding him to his chest, silently crying. MC burst through the front door, seeing the mess in the living room and running in, she gasped at the sight, Aleister shaking in the corner in shock, Ophelia upset and concerned, Ominis and Marvolo on the floor..And Rereks body.

MC: Marvolo..

She ran over and got down next to him, her face looking horrified and devastated as Marvolo cried, whispering in parseltongue to Rereks dead body..Even Ominis's eyes were welling up with tears..She gently reached forwards, taking Rerek from Marvolos arms, he turned to look at her, puffy faced and red eyed with exhausted confusion..MC lay Rerek on the floor in front of her as the Gaunts remained silent, she closed her eyes and held her hands out over Rereks body, her ancient magic seeping from her hands themselves, a stream of blue energy pouring out over him, his body glowing, her nose started to bleed from this intense magic she was attempting to do, her hands shaking, she let out a sharp cry before her magic waned. There was nothing but silence for a moment..

Rereks body twitched slightly, making Marvolo move forward, wide eyed.

Marvolo: Rerek?!

Rerek: *groans* ..Master? What..What happened?

Marvolo grabbed him and held him.

Rerek: Woah..Heh...Ok?

Ominis moved forward and put his hand on Marvolos shoulder again, reaching out and giving Rerek a pet with a grin. MC smiled at them, a tear rolling down her own cheek, before looking over at Ophelia who gave her an understanding and thankful look, Aleister still in shock..

A couple of days passed, MC wandered into the Gardens of the Gaunt Estate, seeing Ominis and Marvolo sat under a tree, with Rerek lay on Marvolos lap. She approached them.

MC: Hey *grins*

Marvolo: *smiles at her*

Ominis: Hello *smiles*

MC: Not that I care..But how's your father?

Marvolo: Pfft. *chuckles*

Ominis: He will unfortunately be ok..Hes still at St Mungos, had some kind of mental break, it was a long time coming though..

MC: That doesn't surprise me..And how are you Rerek? *sweet smile*

Rerek slithered up her, coiling her, giving her a little squeeze, like a hug.

Rerek: Alive, thanks to you. *boops his nose against hers.

MC: *giggles* I'm sure whatever you just said, it was nice..

Ominis: Anyway, come along Rerek, we shall leave you both to it *grins as Rerek slithers onto him and he walks off towards the house*

Marvolo stood, giving her an endearing smile, wrapping his hands around her waist and pulling her into him for a tender kiss.

Marvolo: I cannot thank you enough.

MC: *smiles gleefully, wrapping her arms around his neck* You've thanked me plenty these last couple of days.

Marvolo: *smooth chuckle as he tucks her hair behind her ear* It will never be enough..

MC: *plants a kiss on his lips before pulling away* Well..You're welcome..I'm sure to find some way for you to repay me *chuckles*

Part 7 to the Marvolo x MC series.

Confession 💚🐍

Lil fluff, lil angst, lil kicking ass, and the moment everything changed.

Marvolo awoke, rolling over in his bed, seeing MC had left, and a note placed on the side table, he lazily reached over and grabbed it, sitting up to read it.

"Meet me at the entrance to the Forbidden Forest at noon x"

A small smile crossed his lips, before he felt eyes on him, looking over and seeing Rerek with his head raised from his vivarium, looking over at him, Marvolo rolled his eye's.

Marvolo: What do you have to say now? What whimsical sayings of love do you have for me reading a fucking note?

Rerek: *chuckles* The fact you smiled when reading it..

Marvolo: *clicks his tongue in irritation*

Rerek: You need to tell her...

Marvolo: *sighs as he lays back down*

Noon approached as Marvolo wandered down the path towards the forest entrance. Seeing MC stood near the tree line, she looked over and gave him a grin, he returned it. MC giggled and ran off into the forest, Marvolo smirked before running into the forest himself, after her.

MC ran through the trees, smiling to herself, wondering when he'd catch her, her breathing heavy, but excited. She came to a small area of flowers and stopped to catch her breath, she looked around, seeing and hearing nothing, before she was suddenly tackled down to the ground from behind, at first she panicked, before seeing Marvolos face looking down at her, as he lay on top of her body, he let out a smooth chuckle.

MC: *chuckles* I didn't even hear you!

Marvolo: I tread lightly and carefully *smirks* a deer wouldn't even hear me in these woods..

MC simply smiled at him, Marvolo couldn't help once again but admire her beauty in the light of the forest, his face becoming sultry as he leaned down closer to her face.

Marvolo: Perfection..Truly.

MC: *small giggle*

He kissed her lightly, very gently biting her bottom lip as he pulled back, the two of them just staring into eachothers eyes as they lay in the flowerbed. Marvolo felt his heart beat faster, Rereks voice echoing in his head that he had to tell her, and deep down, she knew how he felt, as she felt the same, but she needed to hear it from him, she craved it, more than anything, to hear him say those words.

Marvolos opened his mouth and took in a sharp breath as if he was about to speak, but it wouldn't come out.

Marvolo: I..I'm sorry *sits up and looks off into the forest*

MC: *sits up herself* Just, say it..

Marvolo: I can't..

MC: Why not?

Marvolo: Because it makes it real..

MC: Do you not want it to be real?

Marvolo: Do you not wish for us to remain how we are?...As we are in this moment?..As we have been far this last half a year?

MC: I feel like I already know what it is..So just say it.

Marvolo: MC..I'm not a good man..You know it wouldn't work..Why say, Those words. When we can't actually be together?

Marvolo's face grew serious as he finally looked at her.

Marvolo: I would ruin your life..Trust me.

MC got onto her knees and shuffled over to him, putting her hands on his shoulders.

MC: We could run away together..

Marvolo: *sigh* That idea is but a dream..Its not that simple for me..

MC: Marvolo..Please..Just say those words..Just SAY how you feel..

Marvolo: Well as I said..I can't.

MC couldn't help but get upset and angry, she let her emotions take her slightly, biting back a little.

MC: I'm not going to hang around forever! And you'd be cruel to make me do so!

Marvolo: *frowns* I never expected you to hang around forever! If you want to leave, you can! If you want to stop this, ALL of this, You CAN!

MC: But I KNOW that isn't how you feel!!

Marvolo: Its not that fucking simple..You should know that.

They frowned at eachother, hurt and irritated by eachothers words, MC stood with a scoff and began to storm off.

Marvolo: Where are you going?!

MC: JUST...Leave me be...

Marvolo watched her as she disappeared out of sight, his nose crinkled, and his hand shaking, before he let out a growl and punched the tree next to him, hard, bloodying his knuckles, but with no reaction other than the anger and upset he was feeling in that moment. MC got to the edge of the forest and sank down next to a tree, tears streaming down her face as she sat and cried. Was he ever going to admit it? EVER?! she was filled with overwhelming emotion herself, Bitterness and sadness.

Marvolo wandered into his room when he got back, letting out an irritated sigh, he paced for a moment in his room before stopping at the window, looking out into the woods once more.

Rerek: .....Went well then?

Marvolo: Rerek, please.

Rerek: Did she..Reject you?!

Marvolo: I...I didn't say it.

Rerek: You fucking idiot.

Marvolo: *looks towards him* I couldn't!!

Rerek: Why the hell not?!

Marvolo sighed again, sitting on the floor in the corner next to the vivarium and holding out his arm, he often did this when wanted a calm and hushed conversation in Parseltongue with Rerek, he'd done this since he first had Rerek when he was younger, and Rerek knew instantly what to do, he slithered up Marvolos arm and around his shoulder, resting his head next to his ear.

Rerek: Talk to me..

Marvolo: ..Its hard Rerek..Its hard to say such words..I've never told a single soul that I love them..Because..Well..I never have before..And even if I did, its unrealistic, right? A relationship I mean, between her and I..It wouldn't work..Would it?

Rerek: Master..Even if you say it..And it doesn't end up working out.. You will know that you have loved and have BEEN loved. But..What if it DOES work?..Do you want to risk spending your life wondering, What if?

Marvolo: *closes his eyes and takes in a long inhale through his nose, before letting it out through his mouth* ...No.

Rerek: Then..Tell..Her.

Marvolo: ...Will you help me trace her steps from the forest?

Rerek: ..Of course.

MC definitely felt the need to blow off some steam after the days events, to get some of her anger out she decided to hunt down an Ashwinder camp, she stood watching the large camp, wand in hand, a heavy frown on her face before wandering over towards it.

Meanwhile Rerek lead Marvolo, following MC's scent, he stopped suddenly.

Marvolo: What's wrong?

Rerek: Isn't that Ashwinder camp this way?

Marvolo: *narrows his eye's*

That's when they heard it in the distance, a huge explosion, and the sounds of shouting and raging.

Marvolo: Shit!

Marvolo whipped out his wand, running for the camp as fast as he could.

Rerek: Master?! Urgh...There he goes..Guess I'm going too..

Rerek slowly and casually, made his way over towards the camp. Marvolo got to the entrance, looking around frantically at first, seeing fire and mayhem everywhere, dead bodies all over the place, before he spotted MC. She came out from behind one of the tents, absolutely glowing with power and strength, he'd never seen her look so fierce, she was followed by a small group of Ashwinders who were clearly under Imperio, she pointed towards another group of them

MC: KILL THEM!!!!

She screamed, as the cursed Ashwinders listened to her commands, Marvolo couldn't help but be impressed, even smiling as he witnessed it. His face then turned serious as he saw a man approach MC from behind. He bared his teeth and frowned shooting out a spell, the bolt flying and hitting the man behind MC, his body dropping to the floor, MC flinched slightly, looking at the body behind her before looking over towards Marvolo, she gave him a wicked grin, which he returned, as more Ashwinders came running over. Both he and her getting closer to eachother, all the while shooting spells and fighting with the gang, like it was some kind of messed up dance routine before finally reaching eachother and standing back to back, still attacking together, their hearts pounding in their chests. With her free hand, she reached back, holding Marvolos, he looked down and smirked before going back to annihilating gang members left right and centre. Once they'd taken them down and they turned to face eachother heavy breathing, and grinning at eachother. The leader of the gang finally emerged from his tent, looking furious, facing the pair.

Boss: You fucking cunts!

Both MC and Marvolo in unison lifted their wands, Both shouting "AVADA KEDAVRA!!" Their green bolts swirling together towards the man who stood there wide eyed for the split moment it took before they hit him, his body falling back, it was over.

They looked at eachother again, and both chuckled breathlessly, Marvolo grabbed MC's waist and pulled her into him, she looked up into his eye's, as he looked a her curiously. Rerek came down from the little perch he'd been sat on, watching the show, and slithered his way over, making his way up the pair and loosely coiling around them both, before resting his head on top of Marvolos, waiting in anticipation.

Marvolo: *gives MC a cheeky grin* You're crazy.. Aren't you?

MC: *smirks* Perhaps a little...I'm glad you showed up, Marvolo.

Marvolo: Me too.

Marvolo leaned forward, giving her an intense kiss, before pulling away.

Marvolo: MC..

MC: Mhmm?

Marvolo: *sighs* ..I love you..

A huge smile curled onto MC's face as she looked up at him.

MC: And I love you..

The two let out chuckles as they started kissing passionately again amongst the fire and bodies.

Rerek: Awwww..This is niiiiiiice.

Marvolo: *while still trying to kiss MC* Rerek, Shhhh.
