i think the reason i feel like bnha (as of when i stopped reading which was a little bit after the culture festival/before the joint training arc) peaked in the kamino ward arc is bc i can't not find the potential interactions between shigaraki and bakugou completely hilarious.

bakugou meeting the only person alive every bit as stupidly stubborn as he is about the most pointless shit imaginable vs shigaraki trying to recruit the one kid on the planet who's even more of a nightmare to deal with than he is.

bnha joke au where midoriya wakes up in the hospital and this is what happens:

kirishima: midoriya, the league kidnapped bakugou!

midoriya: oh fuck we have to save them!

todoroki: you mean him, right?

midoriya: *having flashbacks to various times in middle school when bakugou was forced to join clubs, with increasingly absurd results* NO KACCHAN'S GOING TO DESTROY THEM WE HAVE TO STOP HIM
