Not only is Marvel not mentioning Sam in other projects annoying af, but it’s also incredibly unrealistic. You mean to tell me that Scott of all people would reference Steve’s Cap and the airport fight, but wouldn’t drop at any point that he’d once fought the current Captain America and that the only reason he was even at the airport fight in the first place was because the current Captain America in question, Sam Wilson, had recruited him???

Idk I just think that Scott genuinely seems like the type who would be like “woah Sam’s Cap now? That’s awesome!” even offhandedly. I’m not saying there had to be a big scene of congratulations or something, I just think that it would’ve been nice to hear a shoutout.

*Sidenote: even in NWH, Peter could’ve been like, “Umm why are they adding a shield to this? I might’ve only met Sam for 5 minutes, but there’s no way Cap sanctioned this.”

*In She-Hulk: “The prosecutor who put you away is Captain America’s Brother?!”

Ijs… it’s not that hard to write a ten second throwaway line that acknowledges Sam.
