2 Kings 16: 1-4. "The Well-Informed City."
Things in Judaism can go right to left, left to right. This is true of the alphabet, the Numbers, every door has a handle and a lock that turn both ways. Not recommended for courtship or marriage, nor is it particularly good for a world that wants to eventually make its way to Shabbat and then Mashiach. In the Torah, Abraham and God both say "do not go back". But back and forth we go.
Everyone is wondering why a handful of screwballs have managed to mar the surface of such a beautiful plentiful world, and do it without mercy or repurcussions. Our greatest precaution, religion, is in place all around the world, but still somehow murderers, rapists, drug addicts, child molesters, and violent criminals make their way to positions of power and hold sway.
There is a fundamental breach between God and man that must be corrected. Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin are not Godly men it i so obvious, their parties and politics have no place on a tranquil happy planet. We are fully empowered and capable of putting them in the ground, cleaning up the messes we allowed them to make and then carefully discussing how to prevent another incident.
This would include making the Mormons, the Republican Party and their buddies, Hamas, all terrorists, an endangered species and finally accepting the validity and importance of the Jewish people and their religion to the success of life on this planet.
As for how and why we ended up having these troubles, which are long-standing, read the following about a new King of Judah with an old problem:
Ahaz King of Judah
16 In the seventeenth year of Pekah son of Remaliah, Ahaz son of Jotham king of Judah began to reign.
2 Ahaz was twenty years old when he became king, and he reigned in Jerusalem sixteen years. Unlike David his father, he did not do what was right in the eyes of the Lord his God.
3 He followed the ways of the kings of Israel and even sacrificed his son in the fire, engaging in the detestable practices of the nations the Lord had driven out before the Israelites.
4 He offered sacrifices and burned incense at the high places, on the hilltops and under every spreading tree.
Pekah son of Remaliah which means "to open the eyes, stain with blood, and decorate with gems and treasures."
If one were turning Right, this would mean to give up on guilty pleasures and grow up. If one is turning Left, this means the opposite.
Ahaz, son of Jotham, his successor, means "to grasp at perfection."
The verb אחז (ahaz) means to seize, grasp, take hold of or be (mechanically) attached to. Noun אחזה (ahuzza) means possession.
The verb תמם (tamam) means to be complete, finished, ethically sound or upright. Nouns תם (tom) and תמה (tumma) mean integrity or completeness. Adjective תם (tam) means complete or perfect, sound or wholesome, or morally integer (Job 1:8). Adjective תמים (tamim) means complete or whole, or sound or having integrity. Noun מתם (metom) means entirety or soundness.
Except Ahaz did not grasp at perfection, instead, like his predecessors, he went right back to being too religious, teaching the people about nonsense through example.
You may not just go to church or temple and listen and repeat nonsense to oneself and then pretend it makes sense to the rest of the world. There are precautions about this named in every book of every faith which state, do not treat what is made by man as if it were made by God. Do not believe in the unbelievable, do not be greedy, do not be violent, do not lie, spread corruption, do not cause strife.
To use religion to cause strife or create excuses for why sin is actually a virtue turns the God of Israel into something worth much less than a doorstop, i.e. a graven image. You may not do this to Him. The analysis in Gematria for the above verses reinforce the above. Remember the real meaning inherent to the values of number of years or days etc. depend on the coefficient. 10 years of apples are different than 10 years of oranges.
Observe:
Ten years of apples, the Value in Gematria is 1013, אאֶפֶסאג, "somewhere."
Ten years of oranges, the Value in Gematria is 1050, (oranges appear to be better than apples as the Number went up), אאֶפֶסהאֶפֶס, and in fact we go from just plain old somewhere to "zero zero" "the full infinite" or Ha Shem.
The closer the number gets to one million, the closer we get to the fullness of an age. The Book of Revelation says the Number tops off when humanity stops working in factions or captions and groups together in what is called a stadia, or houses which work together in full constitution:
most of the greater mind of mankind (which is self-similar to the biosphere) is either prey, caniform predator, feliform predator, aquatic (whales, dolphins and orcas relate to pigs and deer; see προφητης, prophetes), bird (see αγγελος, aggelos), or simian (ape), with only very little of our collective mental energy stored in domesticated complexes, where predation is kept at bay and otherwise unrelated species exist in synthetic harmony.
As with any self-similarity, there is no paint-by-number correlation between the stadia of the evolution of life and those of the evolution of society, but a certain overlap is readily observable. Our great human world consists of "houses" — guilds, schools of thought, religions, cultures — and although these houses all strive to maintain their own identity, borders and activities, they all exist by merit of their membership of the same, single global economy of ideas, sciences, technologies, skills and crafts.
All houses, no matter how exclusive, use the larger world's common resources — common languages, the alphabet, pens and paper, books, iPads — and supply the world with whatever they happen to produce (which is often their garbage and refuse, rather than the products they themselves appreciate and consume internally).
These houses that make up our greater human world are what farms are to the biosphere. And all farms have dogs, and these dogs think that their house is the greatest place on earth and the center of the world. Their prime concern is the approval of their master, and all their actions are based on the rewards they have learned to expect from their master.
Dogs have no understanding of the work they do — they don't know why they herd the herds — but do it faithfully because their master told them to. These dogs are literally not equipped to begin to comprehend that their master is one of many, and their house is one of many, and all exist by virtue of the larger economy they form.
The houses of the world are like the cell-types of an organic body: they vary widely, but they all derive from the same genetic constitution. That constitution is the Word of God, and it describes the entirety of human society, not just one of the houses."
v. 1 In the Seventeenth Year, the Value in Gematria is 5092, האֶפֶסטב, the Festival. The Hebrew word for festival is chag, which means a new circuit is starting.
v. 2 Ahaz was twenty years old, the Value in Gematria is 12127, יבאבז , yababez, "the falcon of God" = predation.
"There are four different verbs אוה ('wh), which all appear to express a desire or movement toward something. Noun אי ('i) means coast, which has been mankind's preferred place to settle since time immemorial. Nouns או ('aw), מאוי (ma'away), אוה ('awwa) and תאוה (ta'awa) all mean desire.
The noun אות ('ot) means mark or sign, and humanity's earliest marks were not to assert private ownership but rather a collective identity: something to draw toward and gather around. Noun אי ('i) means jackal, and noun איה (ayya) means hawk or falcon. These creatures were possibly named after their supplicatory calls, or else their rapturous method of predation."
v. 3 Sacrificed his son in the fire...the Value in Gematria is 8310, חגאאֶפֶס, "the plaster."
"The curious noun πλανη (plane) signifies a wandering or a distracting (i.e. a throwing off track), but comes with quite a footnote. Scholars lament that it's unclear where this noun came from, but it's generally (albeit somewhat grudgingly) admitted that it probably relates to the huge and ancient Proto-Indo-European root "pele- II", meaning to spread and thus to be flat (hence English words like plain and plane, explain, field, floor, plaster, and of course planet).
There is also a PIE root "pele- 1", which has to do with to fill, and thus to be abundant (hence words like complete, accomplish, plebian, plenty, and the many poly- compounds)."
What is the plaster that holds this planet together? The thing Abraham did not do.
v.4: The offered sacrifices and burned incense...the Value in Gematria is 4068, דאֶפֶסוח, dafesuh, dissolve,
"The amazing verb λυω (luo) means to loose, unbind or disintegrate. It expresses the unbinding of what was previously tied up, or the disintegrating of what was previously integrated.
Our verb is used to describe the unbinding of animals (MATTHEW 21:2), the releasing of prisoners (ACTS 22:30, REVELATION 20:3), to untying of shoes (MATTHEW 3:11, JOHN 1:27, ACTS 7:33) or clothes (JOHN 11:44). It's used to describe the breaking of a seal (REVELATION 5:2), the unbinding of a mute's tongue (MARK 7:35), even the agony of death (ACTS 2:24).
Our verb is also used to describe the unraveling of something more complex: for dissolving a marriage (1 CORINTHIANS 7:27), or an assembly (ACTS 13:43). Our verb may even express the disintegration or disassembling of ships (ACTS 27:41), buildings (JOHN 2:19), or even the whole world (2 PETER 3:10-12).
Particularly interesting is the use of this verb in the sense of the "breaking" of a law or rule (MATTHEW 5:19, JOHN 7:23). In English we use this same image of law "breaking", which is rather curious since in our modern world, laws are not considered something "solid" that might be snapped in half.
In the Judaic mind it appears to have. To the Jews, laws were not made up or man-made things but natural of even godly things, and were created by the Creator along with the rest of creation. Laws that are not from God aren't laws, and laws that are from God are stored within nature (buried in the earth, if you will).
That's why the sages of old scrutinized creation in search for the laws upon which the whole shebang, including the human world, operates (Exodus 33:13, Psalm 19:1, 27:11, ROMANS 1:20).
Those laws (written in stone by the very finger of YHWH; Exodus 31:18) were bound or gathered in the sense that they were slowly extracted, purified, collected, understood and integrated into increasingly righteous societies (Psalm 12:6).
The Greek word for reason, λογος (logos), means precisely that: that what was gathered up and bound together into living and reasonable minds, which in turn bundled into living and righteous societies, which in turn would ultimately form into a perfectly just and perfectly well informed New Jerusalem (REVELATION 21:2), the City of Righteousness, the Faithful City (Isaiah 1:26), the City of YHWH (Isaiah 60:14)."

Berakhot 4b: 17. "The Taste."
17. What is the taste?
The Hebrew word for taste is ta'am, which has an etymology derived from the term tamam.
The verb תמם (tamam) primarily means to be complete or finished (Genesis 47:18, Deuteronomy 31:24) and secondarily to be ethically sound or upright (Job 22:3, Psalm 18:26). And in that sense, this verb is similar to שלם (shalem), to be complete or whole, and ישר (yashar), to be level or straight.
Our verb's derivatives are:
The masculine noun תם (tom), meaning integrity (Genesis 20:5), or completeness (Isaiah 47:9).
The feminine equivalent תמה (tumma), also meaning integrity (Proverbs 11:3, Job 27:5).
The adjective תם (tam), meaning complete or perfect (Song of Solomon 5:2), sound or wholesome (Genesis 25:27), or morally integer (Job 1:8).
The adjective תמים (tamim), meaning complete or whole (Job 36:4, Joshua 10:13), or sound or having integrity (Genesis 6:9, Psalm 18:24). This adjective is also used as a substantive, meaning that which is complete or entirely in accord with truth and fact (Joshua 24:14, Amos 5:10).
The masculine noun מתם (metom), meaning entirety or soundness (Isaiah 1:6, Judges 20:48).
The Tanya and the Mishnah state to taste is to perform Chabad, the consumption of information through contact with the Self. During the process of tasting the world we are going to learn who and how the Self comes to ruin through wickedness and how it achieves Shabbat, freedom from the need to sacrifice in order to learn.
Finally through Gemara which is "emptying with one hand and filling with the other" one comes to attain Ha Shem. Tasting reality the entire way is requisite. Certainly families, societies, institutions, organizations, and governments need to be able to taste properly.
The Value in Gematria is 1517, אווז, "a goose."
Apparently, a male goose keeps his testacles on the outside.
Berakhot 8a:3:
I am not, and Shmuel said, a goose and a wild goose hybridized with each other, and they were born in it. MT said my father, this is his eggs on the outside and this is his eggs on the inside, and you will see him laying eggs.
The Gemara asks: Is that so? But doesn’t Shmuel say that a domestic goose and a wild goose are considered diverse kinds, and one may not mate them with each other. And we discussed it: What is the reason? Abaye said: In the case of this one, the male wild goose, its testicles are external, and in the case of that one, the domestic goose, its testicles are internal. The Gemara comments: And yet both geese lay eggs. Evidently, the fact that the male’s testicles are external does not prove that the female gives birth.
The Value in Gematria is 9961: טטוא, "a tattoo". Tattooing, nokadata, means one can only imbue the Self with the identity of Ha Shem. One is in the end not a Christian, a Jew, a Muslim, a man or woman or any kind of being just a hollowed out, curved surface that collects, bends and returns the Light of Ha Shem to its Origin.
A tattoo is nokadata, "knowledge reflected back about the state of Ha Shem."
Tattooing one species of goose upon another for the purposes of refining the truest nature of the goose back upon itself is what is meant by the above stated Kabbalah of the Taste of the Goose.
