Aha! You probably thought that you'd seen the last of My Alignment Chart Shenanigans, but alas! I still have 150 charts left! Of course, that number is likely to go down because I won't use a lot of those charts. At least, not in this blog.
Anywhore, l made this one, and I feel that it's actually pretty accurate.
Tumblr media
Based on this chart, I kinda feel like "lawful" is like, traditionally <adjective>, while "chaotic" is like, they could be this but in like a wild way. Like, I could see Vermin being "cute" at times. Cochise is still art, but I probably wouldn't think to describe him as pretty. Ajax might be a little shit, but I would be lying if I said that he wasn't hot, because that's just disrespectful to James Remar. Nevermind that I've been sitting up here roasting Vermin for looking like a raccoon, and technically disrespecting Terry Michos, shhh.
But yeah, I had to give the gang some uplifting because I could.

Chapter 2, possibly.
It’s been a couple of weeks since I became a teacher in this school. I’ve started to get the hang of things, like how to get to the building early, or every pathway in the campus. But to be honest, I’m rather weak with names, so I’m still trying to memorize the names of the students that I handle and which name goes to which face, and there’s more than 50 of them, so this isn’t easy for me.
So here I am, the only guy inside the faculty, I’m always early when it comes to attendance, so I’m also used to being alone and waiting in places. During this time, I usually do my paperwork, browse on my laptop, or just laze around with my head on my lap until something happens.
And the next person to arrive is Ryu, who walked to my spot after visiting his own. “Good morning, Jun.”
“Oh, hey, Ryu.”
“Are you enjoying your work here so far?”
“Yeah, all the work’s worth it.”
“How’s the class you’re advising?”
"Smooth most of the time, but I have trouble with some students.”
“Which of them?”
“I forgot their names, but I’m sure to remember them if they keep it up with the shenanigans.”
“Students like them are not unusual in high school, you’ll learn to deal with them soon."
“True, I should really check the room, though. Talk to you later.”
“It’s a bit too early for that, isn-”
------
I enter the room, seeing a few students already in the room, some of them are busy with their studies, while some of them are busy with other things.
“Good morning, sensei.”
“Good morning.” I sit down at my usual spot, thinking that that’s all there is. I look at the students doing nothing interesting. It’s still early in the morning.
“Isn’t it a bit early?”
“There’s nothing better to do, actually, and it’s about ten minutes till class start-”
*CRASH*
What was that? I run to the other room and find a couple of students fighting while other students try to break the brawl to no avail. Desks and chairs are on their sides and the things that were on them are on the floor.
“Stop it, you two!” I pull one of them away from the other while a group of students try their best to keep them apart. “It’s early in the morning and you’re already- hey!”
The student I was holding pulled my arms off, threw them to the floor and is about to commence round two if not for the other guy already being dragged out of the scene.
With some help putting my arms back on, I turned to him. “What was that for, Kyotaro?”
He looked down to the ground, not answering me.
“Why do you always start a fight over everything?” I sighed. “I’ll have you two settle this somehow, if that’ll make you happy.”
Kyotaro is a troublemaker. This is one of his many fights that he gets himself into, not counting whatever might happen outside school. I’m probably exaggerating, but it’s not a week without him causing chaos.
------
With a few witnesses, we walked to the faculty. I have them sit on the benches in the waiting area while I sit on a chair before them. “Let’s start with the obvious, who started it?”
Virtually everyone pointed at Kyotaro Yamaguchi like I shouldn’t have bothered. “What exactly happened before the fight?”
“Kyotaro walked up to me and started shouting at me.” The student answered, still recovering from his injuries. “It was all because yesterday I was talking to his girlfriend.”
That sure riled him up. “Well, what were you two doing?!” Kyotaro immediately shot up, held back by the others.
“It’s nothing to get angry about, she was asking about homework.”
“Don’t fuck with me, how can I be sure you’re not hitting on her?”
I had to intervene. “She won’t like you as much if she finds out about this, Kyotaro. What did you see?”
“I saw him talking to my girlfriend after class yesterday and last Monday.”
“Where were they and where were you when you saw them?”
“They were by the staircase on the ground floor, close to each other.”
“Of course, they’re talking. Did you hear what they’re talking about, though?”
“No.”
Just keep pressing, Jun. I continued asking questions, and based on the testimonies of the witnesses, Kyotaro has been holding a grudge on the other guy. In the end I recommended to the officers who’ll handle this that the two be separated.
------
If you think that’s the end of it, you’re gravely mistaken. Kyotaro still has friends, and two of them are very close that they more or less form a clique of sorts. It doesn’t help that they’re also in the same class and so is part of my headaches. Every school has its gangs, as much as people hate that. I don’t know how it works here yet, but I was a student once.
Speaking of student, class has started. Everyone is silent as I explain what happened. No one is surprised, not even those close to Kyotaro. “I’m not going to stop you from having your relationships, but starting fights over relationships is a pretty common occurrence. Don’t escalate things.”
Silence. “Let’s begin the lecture. Let’s talk about how to find solutions for a given variable...” No interruptions throughout, everyone seems to get it. As I ask for answers to some example equations, one student is more eager than the others to answer, so eager that I’m bound to remember his name.
“Moriyama,” I call him for the fourth time. You wouldn’t actually think he’s one of Kyotaro’s pals, judging from his looks. He has tidy hair and glasses, and all around he’s neat. I listen to his answer and quickly conclude the lesson before the bell rings.
“I know what you’ll ask, class, but any stupid thing you do for love is still stupid.” I know I have to talk to someone about this.
-----
“Um, sensei, did you call for us?” Renji and another student, his friend Michio, approach me by the hallway.
“Yes, I want to ask a few things.” I walk to an empty classroom while they walk beside me. I sit down on a desk and the two sit close. “First of all, I know you’ve heard all about Kyotaro.” They nod silently.
“Kyota always gets into fights,” Renji answers. “Usually outside school grounds.”
“Is it always over this?”
“Not always, but it’s not uncommon.
“Has she always been his girlfriend, Ayumi?”
“Yes. For more than a year now.”
“Does she know? Have you met her?”
“Yeah, we’ve seen her, and we talked to her about him. She said she’ll do something about it. Little has changed so far, and we know she’s trying.”
I’m not sure whether to be concerned for Kyotaro or for the girl. I’ll go with both. “How did they meet, if I could ask?
Renji goes out of his way to tell how it went. Ayumi moved in as Kyotaro’s new neighbor about a year before and one day he decided to talk to her. Soon enough they became friends and eventually made it to official couple status as soon as both of them are in Amakusa. Renji and Michio only knew about this a month after the fact when he presented her to them. After that is what’s happening now, a hothead and his girl who wants him to change for the better.
That’s the gist of the story, as it’s hard to get every word Renji said. “Has he been in more fights recently?” This is the first time I reported him, so I wouldn’t really know.
Renji looks at me in surprise then onto Michio then back at me. “Yes.”
“And do you get involved?”
“We don’t have much of a choice since he starts most of them, and when we’re with him we just have to get involved.”
I know what’s with these guys, but I guess it’s more of one guy with his gang of two, not dismissing their individual records. “Look, I’m sure you know about his attitude an all, but I want to know why you still stick around with him.”
“I don’t know, I think it’s because we like the same thing.” I wouldn’t doubt that, no other explanation is satisfactory.
“Okay, I’m going to take this to the higher-ups. For now, keep an eye on your friend.”
-----
“You’re really worked up on this, Jun.” Yu talks to me on our way to the fast food he invited me to eat at.
“Can’t I be? It’s part of my job.”
“You sure are fired up, I haven’t seen you like that for years.”
“Yeah. I checked the records,” We enter the food store. “They moved from the same school.”
“That’s right, but before you start talking what will you get?”
After a bit of waiting and searching for a table, I continue where I left off. “From the looks of it they didn’t leave their troublesome nature with them on the way to Amakusa.”
“You got that right, it’s been happening before you came. How did the asking go?”
“I got something new, at least, I have no idea how it’s gonna change things since he’s going to get counselled any time soon.”
“Right. It’s around the fourth time he’s caught in a fight in campus. Safe to say he needs help.”
“I get that, this can’t go on for too long.”
“You’re really interested in helping, maybe you can get them out of that rut better than I could.”
“Sure. I don’t want to make any enemies, not this early.”
We split the price and head our way home. I can’t wait for tomorrow to come and get this over with for now.
-----
Next day after class I head to the room where Kyotaro is staying. He’s silently sitting, staring at a desk. He’s the only student detained today and his period is about to end.
“Hey there.” I greet with a bit of a smile while I look for a chair to sit on.
“Good afternoon.” He responds dryly.
“Did anyone visit you?”
“Yeah, Renji and Micho dropped by to ask how I’m doing.”
“Are you still mad over what happened?”
He falls silent for a while. “Yeah.”
“How’s Ayumi, by the way?”
Kyotaro looks at me surprisedly before he looks down again. “She’s okay. I heard she wasn’t too happy about what I did. Again.”
“I don’t think even your friends are okay with what’s happening to you.”
“I know.” His expression hasn’t changed.
“By tomorrow I hope things get better, I’m always here to help, okay.”
He silently nods. We talk some more for a bit before I leave for home. One of the people taking care of probations enter the door after I’ve just closed it.
-----
The next day is just like any other school day, Kyotaro is back in class talking to his two pals, the other students are just doing their thing, and I’m reading up on some material.
After finishing about 20 pages, I get up from where I was reading and notice the three not where I saw them last time. I walk through the hallway until I turn to a corner and meet face to face with a confetti cannon going off.
I yelp and tense up for a moment, trying to keep my balance as my legs want to turn to jelly and eventually I do fall back onto the floor, slightly shaken.
“What was that for?” I ask after recovering, my voice rather shaky, and sure enough I’m asking the question to the usual suspects, with Michio playing the marksman.
“Uh...” They don’t know what to say but the guilty look on their faces say it for me.
“Seriously, guys, have you been waiting on me?”
They nod, and at the corner of my eye I see Yu walk towards us. “Hey, were you the ones who shot- yes. Don’t do that again to him, okay?”
“Why not, Maejima-sensei?” Kyotaro asks.
Yu knows the main reason why that was a bad idea, but he answers a different reason. “It’s not okay to scare people you don’t know well senseless, and it’s messy. Clean this up.”
The students walk away with their heads down and return with a vacuum cleaner from the janitor’s closet. It’s not too heavy given it’s one of those handheld ones. They clean up the mess and apologize to me before they retreat somewhere else, and we also take our cue to go back to the office.
“Are you okay now, Jun?”
“Yeah, I’m okay now.”
“You haven’t told anyone about-”
“No, I don’t want to revisit it too much, you know that.”
“Why don’t you want people to know, just to avoid that from happening?”
“I’m not that affected, okay? I’m fine.”
“If you say so, it’s been a while since...”
“I know, and I’m fine.”
And we return to our work after that, the rest of the day went smoothly, with no further incidents. In school, at least.
-----
After school’s over, I go home and ask the fridge what’s for dinner. Opening the door only gave me a cold breeze for an answer and nothing much, time to get some new groceries.
Outside work, my casual garb is a tank top and the jeans I wore. I go to a supermarket a few minutes away from my apartment, buy enough food to stock my kitchen for the next couple of weeks, and head back home-
“Sensei!”
Something I don’t expect to hear at this time, but I turn around to see something way more unexpected than a student calling you outside school.
