"this doesn't really seem like your sort of thing." it wasn't like inej knew the person particularly well, but considering their first interaction included her turning into a gorilla and wanting to beat people up inej was surprised to see nimona at such a formal event. "have you found anything interesting to do here? hopefully nothing kaz asked you to do." she tacked on, eyes narrowing slightly. she didn't actually know what their conversation had included, but she was good at her job. even here, without any particular work to do, she kept eyes and ears open, and had been surprised to see the semi familiar face speaking casually with kaz.

She partially remembered being older -- she remembered her first son, Jacaerys, and the father of said son; Harwin Strong. She remembered quite unexpectedly falling for the knight, how it had caught her completely by surprise. And how she had never felt so loved by someone as she did by him. Some part of her wants to flee this event, surrounded all by strangers except for Alicent and Laenor, who she kept losing in the crowds. She goes to walk out the door and runs right into the man she’d been missing. “I’m so sorry, ser--” She begins to say, then looks up at him. “Harwin...? What are you doing here?”

there's certainly the chance that today's series of murders are unrelated to the city's magic , but edward's not ready to rule it out. the city's unpredictability is becoming well ... predictable , with how often it shells out chaos among its citizens. they're likely due for a bit of terror , so he wouldn't be very surprised. still , that doesn't mean that he hasn't grown tired of it , which is evident in his voice as he turns to the other. .｡.:*☆ Geralt knew it only had been a couple of weeks. Yet, he would not be surprised finding out Yen moved on. If she even stilln was here in DC. They both knew how this city worked, after all. And yes, maybe it would have been good to have a phone in his house. To call, at least. Tell Yen that there had been an accident. That he had suffered from a trauma - healing slower here, as it seemed - but that he would be all fine again, surely.
