Why would transition save them?: "Ok listen, this is not a “this character is nonbinary because they are gender less and therefore are nonbinary by default” thing but a “they don’t have a full grasp of gender identity and therefore feels disconnected to the concept of it” thing. I feel like Buu would start to question their gender identity when someone asks her about his gender (in a “are you a boy or a girl” way) and Buu would tilt it’s head and go “Buu isn’t boy or girl, Buu is Buu.” And then he would have to have someone else to explain to them (like Mr. Satan) about gender and how some people are boys while others are girls. I also think that if someone were to ask Buu’s pronouns she’ll probably say “pronouns? What’s that? Is it tasty?” And then end up not caring about what pronouns people refer to it. I feel like Buu would end up feeling like an outcast due to neither feeling like a boy or a girl and then end up being told “yah know Buu, you don’t have to be either male or female, there’s always plenty of other genders out there that might be more fitting for you.” So they would end up learning about all kinds of nonbinary identities before settling on the ones that are right for him. And I think she’ll probably identify as Egogender because it’s not a boy or a girl, Buu is Buu and his gender is Buu.
