Ngl, almost finished first season of original subbed for Space Battleship Yamato and I am actually preferring that to reboot.

I mean reboot doesn’t even give information on what Gamilas is plagued with, only vague ideas like Wolf’s off-handed comment about how the air is polluted while on Gamilas.

Season 2 saying “our world is going to die in a hundred years” that DIRECTLY contradicts the rule Dessler had in season 1 of 114 years? Season 2 ALSO has Keyman complaining about Earth and how humid it is for a scene?

BUT THE ORIGINAL???

Literally states to you that Gamilas is dying because of how many volcanos are going off and how the sulfur is in the sea AND rain making both very acidic.

I don’t get how the reboot won’t directly state what is killing their world, but original will state it AND SHOW IT.

I will be bringing THAT to my writing as well as Beemela (yes I’m using original dub writing sorry) because honestly if we’re going to make Dessler more villainous, Beemela was one HELL of a starting point. AND THE VOLCANOS? THEY MAKE S O MUCH REASON FOR THE BOY TO BE SO “EVIL” IN TRYING TO TERRAFORM EARTH.

Dessler literally deserved Earth because otherwise his planet would be annihilated from the volcanos and acid sea and really it’s just peak writing that Leiji is well known for. This new stuff ain’t shit.
