hey the last post if avast is bad then what do you recommend aside from malwarebyres? I have both but now I'm worried ๐Ÿ˜”๐Ÿ˜”
Honestly, I use Adguard + Malwarebytes myself (both work on mobile devices & PCs). It's not that Avast is BAD, it's just that if you're paying for it, you're overpaying for protection you could be getting for significantly cheaper or free, like from Malwarebytes.
That said, I'm not sure how the big name antivirus softwares (Avast, Bitdefender, Norton, McAfee, Kaspersky) or other popular paid options all stack up quality-wise compared to Malwarebytes, since that data's gonna change year to year... but full disclosure, until recently I was using a pirated copy of Avast for years and was fine + I had Norton whenever someone in my family bought a multi device license and I could get in on that for free.
At the end of the day, your average user can get by with your ad blocker of choice, free antivirus software, and a VPN to protect you from your ISP sending you nastygrams or getting copyright complaints if you use public torrent trackers for piracy, and none of that has to be particularly expensive! :) Hope that helps!
