NaPoWrimo - Day 9
The prompt for day 9 was to write a 9 line poem. Out of all the 9 line poetry forms I chose the magic 9. It has no rules relating to meter or to subject matter. It does however, have a rhyming format:  A B A C A D A B A.
The Perfect Day
My perfect day is framed with books
and numerous delicious safe hugs
from a man with good looks.
Of course, this man is mine to keep,
and besides being cute, he cooks
for me when I cannot be bothered.
But back to my perfect day of reading in cozy nooks,
fluffy socks, pajamas and coffee filled mugs
aah, a day without mooks, just books, nooks and lovely good looks.

NaPoWriMo D9
The prompt today was to write a poem in which something big and something small come together.
This shall pass too
When I was young I was larger than life
My body occupied every corner in the room,
every eye on me: I was the sun, the moon, the stars
my tears were the oceans of the world, their coming and going kept this world alive.
One day I was running away from the spikes on people’s mouths
it was one of those days in which I had reached the limit
I had had enough of cleaning my body from their slime,
so I sought refuge in the only place they would not go after me—the library.
I found a brown leather armchair and I fused myself to it,
and here I was dreaming of invisibility when a book fell on my lap
and it became my passport to the rest of the universe
this was better than invisibility, with a book I could disappear.
Because as I read, I shrank to a wee cluster of molecules
and then to a wee cluster of atoms
floating in one of eight  planets
which lived in the milky way galaxy
which had billions of cousin galaxies
in this unfathomably Big Universe.
and I was at peace, for I no longer was a God
but a fluff with perspective.
