I so sincerely need to get more friends who are Into makeup. I never do it for work, because work does not pay me enough to be smart AND perform gender, but on my days off I love to spend a long time at my vanity doing my face. I look good today! Base is the Make Up For Ever tinted primer, which I got a sample of and am seriously considering buying a whole thing of because I really like it, under Auric Glow Lust in Morganite (the second, less peachy version they released), under Dior Powder No Powder. And like. It's just so good. I've done this a few times now and it blows all my other foundations out of the water. The combo of the tint in the Auric Glow Lust and the extremely finely milled powder from Dior is just a solid winner. Makes my skin look natural, glowy, and generally perfect. UGH. I hate it when expensive products are good!!!

Then I did my eyes today with Nabla's Side By Side palette, which I had bought a while back but never tried. It's fine! It has some good, solid colors. It's not, like, the most beautiful dream of all time or anything, but it could certainly be an everyday palette for very solid work looks. If you were my color (uncooked chicken, as Theresa is Dead would say) and not that into makeup, I would say this would be a very reasonable purchase for a lifetime palette. The black is super fucking weak, though. I'm not in love with it for a shadow liner.

I used MAC's fiber mascara. It's very eh. It gets the job done, but as soon as it gets chunky, I'm going to toss it and go back to ABH Lash Brag, which is a way better formula.

I really like Billion Dollars Brows clear gel for my brows. I don't do them super dramatic; I have such dark brows to begin with that when I fill them in I better be prepared for my brows to be the focal point of my face.

For cheeks I've settled on the Wayne Goss contour and bronzer duo, which is obscenely expensive but also horribly good. I had a new Lottie London blush, on the other end of the price spectrum, and I am pleased with it. And then I used the new ShopMissA highlighter, which it turns out I like. (I love ShopMissA; you can get a full face before you even hit the 35 bucks that's usually the threshold for free shipping. Let me know if you want recs from them, I have so many favorites.)

And then for lips I did a new sale Nyx lipstick which came out very dark and grungy, so it's a good thing I'm not actually going anywhere today or else I'd feel compelled to soften it up.
